I would love to have a draenei or dwarf shaman in Classic Plus. Horde can have tauren paladins. It won't hurt the game and will help with class balance.
They should add Wrath's Stormwind Harbor and add a Darnassus boat. Then later on if they add a new island to the game, put it's boat in the SW harbor too. The Wrath Harbor just fits perfectly, it looks and feels Vanilla. They made Horde's travel to the UC on the other continent way easier than they did the Alliance and Darn.
One of if not the most important things they have to do it not create more islands, leave it as eastern kingdoms and kalimdor forever, add new expansions to classic plus and then change the zones with those expansions maybe the scarlet crusade start to take over zones and we have to gradually win them back throughout the expansion, just don't split the player base by adding more and more islands

My guess would be that they will announce something in November for the 20th anniversary, that new content will release around the end of spring or early summer 2025. At that point SoD and Cata classic should be over and the timing will be better.
We still have at least 3 phases in sod, and aggrend recently hinted at each raid being around 2 months long. In which case we have AT LEAST 6 months left of sod, not including a new raid if they make one.

I'm only a quarter way through this video, so apologies if this gets mentioned later in the video, but so far since you've mostly talked about new content in classic, I think in your interview with the devs when they said they're garnering massive support from the art team kind of tells us everything we need to know. While this is in fact amazing, it kind of sucks that SoD didn't do better because if it did I believe Microsoft/Activision/Blizzard would've allocated SoD it's own art team and we may have already seen some of the stuff you're saying would come in classic + in SoD Also subbed! Keep it up
@@TeamAYB I'm sure SoD gave Blizzard plenty of info to warrant greenlighting a Classic+, so I think we're good on that front, and likely will get plenty more content in Classic+ in comparison to SoD. I also wish SoD had more, but hey, here we are lmao
Classic should have always been WoW classic but with every “new” expansion they keep the same Vanilla rules and stats for loot and everything else. Only adding minor QoL changes.
Stopped playing SoD because I realized I was tired of seasonal servers. Between losing characters on death on hardcore, and leveling a ton of alts on SoD, I had enough. If we have a permanent server that continues to add content for classic, count me in. My only caveat is that I will need some actual PvP content updates for me to play. Just playing unranked BGs is not for me. I would really like arenas, even if they aren’t rated.
Maybe transmog should be a graphics option? You can turn it of if you'd like and then your character and everyone else appears as not trasnmog'd on your client.
This might be the single greatest thing I've heard in 5 years. The only thing that ruined Classic was... it moving forward like the original. Keep me in 2005 please!!
Great video, would love to see another video where you go super in-depth into all the possibilities of classic+. personally, and I dont know if this would work, id love to see goblins added as a neutral race similar to pandaren in MoP. *FEED BACK* - They need to unlocked all the locked maps in Azeroth and add new quest/story chains. - There are total 9 locked map in vanilla Azeroth (with isles) - They should add new dungeons and few new raids to some of these locked maps ofc. and design new items/gears fit to vanilla culture. - Some of people dont wanna see GDKP - Bots - Multiboxers - gold sellers and boosters. blizz should take this into consideration. - BARBERSHOP would be great in vanilla btw. (Except for gender reassignment) - We want to see the more lore from; The Great war to warcraft3 in vanilla Azeroth! - WE DONT WANNA PLAY WITH FCKN RETAIL SKILLS ofc! - We wanna see new races in line with the story of vanilla(warcraft). (maybe worgens cuz worgens shows in 2003 vanilla trailer. maybe high elves, maybe goblins idk) - More world boss and more wpvp events would be good ofc in line with the lore of vanilla. - Another arena would be great like grubashi with different chest or reward idk. - No flying mount ofc.! - NO TRANSMOG! I am a 35 year old dad warcraft player, I have cleared vanilla twice before. Now I started again in Zandalar tribe fresh(eu) because SoD(PTR) is a disgrace! I hope one day they will complete the unfinished vanilla and present it to us...
I don't necessarily agree with the need for a tutorial. The game flourished during original vanilla-wrath without one. Respecting a player's intelligence goes a long way
Alliance high elves that are muscular with runic tattoos and Horde Ogres (and goblins) is what we should've got from the beginning. Give us subraces for dwarves and trolls too! A classic that just adds content would be king for me.
It’s good that the questions are vague. It’s better they capture the quality of life approach. What really concerns me is the “minor” class changes. Most classes need a massive rehaul to be viable otherwise you are just going to stack warriors all over again.
I just want them to keep the grounded, lengthy and grindy (journey not destination) feel of classic, with dangerous mobs that force you to pay attention to your engagements. No 3-shotting normal mobs or chain pulling and AoE fest in dungeons. Give high level mobs acess to more abilities and way more armor and player-like stats like it was in vanilla. It's fun when you fight a mob and it has like 8 skills that you have to deal with, instead of just blobs and circles on the ground that you have to avoid while doing everything else. Plus, if they could just flesh out some of the stories that are simple in nature but have provided fond memories for us players when we were playing them for the first time. The Orcs vs Centaurs war in The Barrens for example. More of those "baseline" Warcraft races. Kobolds, dryads, gnolls, grellkin, furbolg, worgen, ogres, forest trolls and wildhammer dwarves, etc. There's so much story there that never got addressed after the expansion cycle started.
I agree with very little that you agree with. Except the flying. No flying in classic. Most of the other things would make this more like cataclysm and that’s a huge no. Boomkin/shadow priest/ret paladin do need help though. Agreed.
I hope they also don’t listen to people who don’t even play classic or SoD on classic + . So many grifting content creators with horrendous fucking takes who just play to have people trade them loot then quit to do react content or just do the latest season of retail arena PvP and not touch the game ever again.
8:50 some things could be adding elves to both sides, goblins are honestly probably already done, then toss either the draenei (velen got drunk behind the wheel and landed early) to keep it equal
Would be awesome to see a classic+. Biggest lesson learned from SoD: 1. New > Reworked 2. There should be an easy 10 man that people can do, all the time. Can supplement a bigger raid, but nice to have easy off night stuff to do with friends. 3. I don’t want more grinds, I want more fun. Adding in new and fun things to do! 4. Don’t bottleneck pvp, I know a ton of people that quit sod over being camped/griefed. I’ll personally never play a pvp server again, but being thoughtful with where the pvp occurs, will maybe alleviate that frustration a bit. 5. Give both factions all classes. 6. It’s actually ok to make some stuff easier (summoning stones, PvP rewards, runes/ability discovery/raids)
Dont you dare water down the grind to get some of the best rewards in the game, if you cant handle the pvp grind or dont have the skill to do it dont play classic. Classic is a journey with rewards that tell a story and show your dedication. Tweak High warlord slightly maybe less decay but dont you dare make it much easier. Disgusting opinion
I probably should have clarified, Nostalrius willingly shut down after they went after them. Turtle WoW is situated in Russia, so they can't take their servers down, but they did hit them on any website that they league reach to do so.
@@EbonhardtTV Not sure if its a factor in Blizzards eyes, but Nost on average had like 100k unique accounts created or some crazy number like that. Although I dont know how many Turtle-wow has created in total, I do know they only have like 6k peak players a day. Maybe it matters...maybe not.
Instead of a freebie catch up system, I think it'd be great if they brought back a badge of justice system that lets you get baseline acceptable gear by spending badges earned in low tier content. That way there's still an incentive for people to run older content to fill in slots/ get alt spec gear and a more casual friendly, rng free path to adequately gearing up.
i want classic+ but i also like some aspects about seasons, the more experimental nature and putting a whole new lens on world of warcraft. it's like plunderstorm/mop remix experimentation. I hope in some way we can keep a seasonal nature but this time the characters can carryover somehow, defcamp and melderon made a video about this idea calling it a multiverse of classic wow. Its where you can test a survival hardcore version of wow. new class systems. new gear systems. things that wouldn't be safe to test in classic+ permanent realm
Perfectly happy with what they are doing in SoD, no reason for this classic+ if they would just add some more NEW dungeons/raids/quests/items not reusing assets that were already in the game. Hopefully they can figure that out.
World buffs are FINE for 1-59...as soon as you're 60 they get dropped off. Fuck banning addons, I want my Bartender, AdiBags, map addon of my choice. I like the VARIETY of different addons to change smaller things like unit frames. Take away my Pitbull Unit Frames or my nameplate addon and I'm out. I subscribed, loved the video regardless of any disagreements I have. :D
I truly hope they do something immense with classic + but I doubt they will have the backing for it. It's like bliz just can't see the game making money (especially Vs retail) so they dont get the money. Look at the "new boss". They said they got funding for the first time to get access to the art team and the art team generated a big yellow ball. I would love if they made orges available to play with a racial of "crouch" to get through doors etc. Do a lore vid I love em
For sure, I think Blizz is realizing that Classic has a huge audience that wants new. Demon Fall Canyons + Art team now, and heck, if they just acquire the Turtle WoW Dev Team, and it's easy cooking. I trust Blizzard will pull something off. Hopefully it's what the players want.
Other than what was said at the beginning of the video, there have been a few Dev interviews recently, one actually by Ebonhardt, but in another one when asked about classic +, a dev said to think about why sod exists in the first place
Essentially what TeamAYB said. They essentially soft confirmed Classic+ was in the works, and that SoD was an experiment that they're still learning from and testing things on. Plus all the other info I shared, and a few things I can't talk about lmao
Il say this much, I 100% want the proper Classic+ to come. It would be amazing and very profitable for Blizzard. But I am also a realist. The Blizzard of today will NEVER put a real budget and team onto anything Classic related. And one of the main reasons ? They cant put an in game store into Classic. The backlash is just too big. Which means the game model which they have today will never work for Classic and thus they will only make sub money. At the same time, they are taking a financial risk, this will all actually cost quite a bit. For a fraction of that cost, and I really mean a fraction, they can make a few in store items, no risk, make the same money from all the braindead retail players who are buying anything that Blizzard puts out for collection purposes. So why would Blizzard risk any of this ? They themselves said that the Celestrial Horse alone made more money than SC2, which is shocking to hear. When Classic+ comes out, and im sure it will. Its gonna be another ultra low budget with a handful of devs working on all the classic stuff, MoP or w/e is up then, a new Fresh release and Classic+. Which means we will get the same treatment. p1 and the release will have the most content so they can get the most amount of money at the start. Then a year of near to nothing. Followed by "Hey! buy the next thing, we promise to fix it there cuz we have learned a lot now!" Which is what they say every new release.
LFG/LFR killed the game for me. It's not 'social' it's anti-social and turned thriving cities into zombie zones and also meant people didnt have to even think about finding a guild. Finding or creating groups was a massive part of classic. Guild banks however I think should be included. It does not affect the gameplay and just helps the guild to contribute for consumables etc, otherwise the only functionality a guild has in game is guild chat and we're all on discord these days anyway.
I disagree with the guild banks. There was something cool and social about having that one dude who brings ins of consumes for everyone and hands them out, and that one person who doles out the protection pots, and interacting with other players mid raid to trade and clear inventory space for gear. Obnoxious sometimes, but adds a layer of social interaction
@@queenmarsia keep in mind that ppl still create chill grps for raids or alt raids regardless of parsing.. parses are useful to improve urself or join ppl who are like minded that want to parse aswell. I am pretty sure anyone even u would choose better players for completing content to avoid spending 3 hours banging ur head against simple bosses.
I think they should add a guild bank. While it can cause drama for some it would be beneficial for people to donate items for raids like pots, elixirs, mats for FR gear, etc. we all have mats alts in my current guild and it’s so fucking obnoxious to have to constantly log to 2-3 toons looking for mats to then trade etc etc.
Karazhan, mt Hyjal, emerald dream, twilight hammer, so much potential!!!! Back when they announced burning crusade expansion i was both sad and excited. My guild finally had BWL on farm and we had secondary MC raids. I was excited to experience Naxxramas but BC came too quickly. I think we tried clearing trash mobs but that was it. Getting attunement was not easy (Does retail even have any attunements in current gameplay😅?). I always talked to ny guildies about how i wish they kept the level 60 cap but just introduced more content for the game instead. Hopes are high for classic plus but given the current state and faculty at Blizzard Activision. I highly doubt it. We need the edge Lord devs that used to love the game
get rid of the dog water game, literally EVERY SINGLE THING IN THAT GAME IS 0 CHALLENGE pathetic excuse for an MMO free loot emulator. Like go back to retail with your loot boxes and no effort
I won't be satisfied with class minor changes. There are classes that are unplayable in wow classic, so minor changes won't do anything. Love rocking my prot paladin in SoD.
I'd love some adjustment to druid. Balance is pretty much the worst caster specialization in Classic (poor damage, expensive spells, and a very limited area effect kit). Feral is a fragile tank (low mitigation and very little gear to support it) and a poor melee spec (feral damage doesn't scale). Restoration should focus on heal over time spells, not spamming downranked Healing Touch.
honeslty i think the best think for classic plus would be to limit it, TBC and wotlk are very beloved expansions too so imo i think they would be better off bringing in outland and northrent, stopping there and then just building on those 3 contentients
My biggest worry is in one of the most recent interviews aggrend said that season of discovery is about as extreme as it will likely get and they are ready to puill back a little bit. Outside of the rune system though I really don't see it as extreme, replace runes with augmented talents and new spells you train at the trainer and it's still not on the level of what I would like classic + to be. I want new classic like zones added to the areas you can't access currently in game, I want new raids and dungeons and new spells and things to learn. If classic + turns out to be a single step up from season of mastery it'll be dead in 2 months. Please do not pull back.
go back to retail thats a good place for you. CLassic wow is already good look at how many players time and time go back to the orginal game. The game barely needs any changes its damn near perfect. They need to just Balance ... Balance druid, feral, prot paladin, ret paladin, and maybe any other lacking specs. And then slowly add new content like Hyjal ect. all that shit from SOD has no place in the classic experience its a joke. Disgusting free loot no effort joke of a game

Bots, gold sellers, warlock summon networks, gdkp, boosting should all be banned
Spot on re world buffs, removed in raids
Thank you for saying that there should be no flying in Classic. It cannot be said enough times.
One of if not the most important things they have to do it not create more islands, leave it as eastern kingdoms and kalimdor forever, add new expansions to classic plus and then change the zones with those expansions maybe the scarlet crusade start to take over zones and we have to gradually win them back throughout the expansion, just don't split the player base by adding more and more islands
this is what makes osrs so great the nostalgia is there but new content keeps us engaged
No transmog, no flying
And no Runes... and no "Beginner Area" and no Giant Bags etc.
Yes transmog, no flying
NO FLYING!!
...but a transmog with a toggle would be best
@@badwolfxd3593 that would be perfect and it can be done if the option is doable before logging into the server. I like being able to wear old tier sets and I dont give two fucking shits over spergs crying over looking two tiers below undergeared for some pathetic visual metric. That being said, I dont mind if people see what Im actually wearing with a toggle anyway
Woah man. Flying is what made me love wow.
it's quite simple they can make ANY changes as long as they keep the FUNDAMENTALS the same. change the FUNDAMENTALS ( leveling speed, character building, progression) it's JOEVER
I hope they spend the time to make it right. Take a year or two to develop (and test) a feature complete expansion for Classic+. There is a ton of content to explore in the time period before Kazzak opened the Dark Portal
I just hope they balance the classes in a more meaningful way than mirroring retail.
as a wc2 player im so with you about ogres and high elves
All I want is a Fresh Era with working layers. Every 3-5 yrs add an additional fresh server. Change MINOR talents for viability. Make current useless zones, useful. Add phases for them for raids.
I've been on break since Wrath phase 1, and the nostalgy has just hit again. Classic + will be perfect point to come back for.
Human Druid is ok but ONLY if they make their cat form one of the hairless house cats 😂
Hairless house cats ripping shit up is better than volpera😂
Eww. No human druids.
Death knights in classic plus let’s go
My guess would be that they will announce something in November for the 20th anniversary, that new content will release around the end of spring or early summer 2025. At that point SoD and Cata classic should be over and the timing will be better.
We still have at least 3 phases in sod, and aggrend recently hinted at each raid being around 2 months long. In which case we have AT LEAST 6 months left of sod, not including a new raid if they make one.
@@polysorbate8035 honestly, I could see them announcing it within 6 or so months. But I don't see them releasing it till at earliest Nov 2025. Heck, maybe even June 2026. I don't see this being a soon product.
They really need to give specific examples with these surveys; the questions are so vague and can mean so many different things to different people.
The survey is fake, that's why lol
I'm only a quarter way through this video, so apologies if this gets mentioned later in the video, but so far since you've mostly talked about new content in classic, I think in your interview with the devs when they said they're garnering massive support from the art team kind of tells us everything we need to know. While this is in fact amazing, it kind of sucks that SoD didn't do better because if it did I believe Microsoft/Activision/Blizzard would've allocated SoD it's own art team and we may have already seen some of the stuff you're saying would come in classic + in SoD
Also subbed! Keep it up
@@TeamAYB I'm sure SoD gave Blizzard plenty of info to warrant greenlighting a Classic+, so I think we're good on that front, and likely will get plenty more content in Classic+ in comparison to SoD. I also wish SoD had more, but hey, here we are lmao
Classic+ has potential to be the best MMORPG ever if they can pull it off properly. Really hoping for it
Classic should have always been WoW classic but with every “new” expansion they keep the same Vanilla rules and stats for loot and everything else.
I have seen a few videos covering this, but u have done it really well ❤
If there's one thing I'm autistically hyperfixated on, it's Classic lmao
Paladins remain ally shamans remain horde it was unique! Also the amount of ads in this video Ho lee fook
Yasss!!!! I would love to see High Elves and Ogres added as a race! It would keep the game fresh and exciting!
No arena what you’ll take away is the standing in front of Orar dueling people. Or world PVP.
Great video, would love to see another video where you go super in-depth into all the possibilities of classic+. personally, and I dont know if this would work, id love to see goblins added as a neutral race similar to pandaren in MoP. I feel like it would fit in classic seeing as goblins are more of their own thing and not necessarily tied to the horde yet. also i just love goblins and want to play one lol
@@scallycat1423 I'm planning on cooking up a whole series called the "Classic+ What If" collection lmao. I have so many topics I wanna cover and deep dive, especially as Classic+ is now more of a guarantee than a "Man, if only..."
*FEED BACK*
- They need to unlocked all the locked maps in Azeroth and add new quest/story chains.
- There are total 9 locked map in vanilla Azeroth (with isles)
- They should add new dungeons and few new raids to some of these locked maps ofc. and design new items/gears fit to vanilla culture.
- Some of people dont wanna see GDKP - Bots - Multiboxers - gold sellers and boosters. blizz should take this into consideration.
- BARBERSHOP would be great in vanilla btw. (Except for gender reassignment)
- We want to see the more lore from; The Great war to warcraft3 in vanilla Azeroth!
- WE DONT WANNA PLAY WITH FCKN RETAIL SKILLS ofc!
- We wanna see new races in line with the story of vanilla(warcraft). (maybe worgens cuz worgens shows in 2003 vanilla trailer. maybe high elves, maybe goblins idk)
- More world boss and more wpvp events would be good ofc in line with the lore of vanilla.
Awesome vid! What do you play in classic?
Really smart take on classic and it's systems . Goodman
I don't necessarily agree with the need for a tutorial. The game flourished during original vanilla-wrath without one. Respecting a player's intelligence goes a long way
If new players need a tutorial I can only imagine it is because they bought a level boost. The early game is not really overwhelming.
Alliance high elves that are muscular with runic tattoos and Horde Ogres (and goblins) is what we should've got from the beginning. Give us subraces for dwarves and trolls too! A classic that just adds content would be king for me.
Yes to improved class balance, transmog, barber shop, guild banks, new dungeons, new raids, fly path fixes and improved / spec specific tier sets.
No to flying mounts, hero classes (DK \ DH \ Evoker), M+, retail style raids, speeded leveling
Based on what I played in sod Im sure the classic team will do a good job and give us a banger of an expantion.
If they are asking these questions now, how can we think classic+ is anywhere near ready
Absolutely NO flying mounts. That is not Classic.
8:50 some things could be adding elves to both sides, goblins are honestly probably already done, then toss either the draenei (velen got drunk behind the wheel and landed early) to keep it equal
Would be awesome to see a classic+. Biggest lesson learned from SoD:
1. New > Reworked
Disgusting opinion
they didnt take turtle-wow down. They DMCAd thier youtube channel.
@@veecoboy01 6k is pretty big for a pserver
@@hipdrive Oh absolutely. The community on twow is very healthy, but its not Nost numbers.
"So we're gonna move onto the third point.." -- RAID SHADOW LEGENDS AD
i want classic+ but i also like some aspects about seasons, the more experimental nature and putting a whole new lens on world of warcraft. it's like plunderstorm/mop remix experimentation.
Jesus Ebon…. So yes to everything. Where do you draw the line? Might as well just stick to SOD
@@EbonhardtTV imagine if they actually employed the turtle wow team.
Let's be totally honest some of the stuff TW had been demo-ing looked incredible
Everyone had their own idea of what classic should be, it’s a no win situation
Should they have more mp4 or mp5? Make up your mind gosh.
0:47 I'll never forget.
What proof do you have other than speculation? The interview didnt really clarify anything specifically
Other than what was said at the beginning of the video, there have been a few Dev interviews recently, one actually by Ebonhardt, but in another one when asked about classic +, a dev said to think about why sod exists in the first place
@@TeamAYB thank you for clarity
Essentially what TeamAYB said. They essentially soft confirmed Classic+ was in the works, and that SoD was an experiment that they're still learning from and testing things on. Plus all the other info I shared, and a few things I can't talk about lmao
@EbonhardtTV Tim Jones plays on my server and he kind of spilled some things too lol
@@EbonhardtTV thank you for responding that makes a lot of more sense for context!
Obnoxious sometimes, but adds a layer of social interaction
hey ebonhilt❤ how would you feel if blizzard banned any form of public parse logging in classic+?
What is wrong with parse logging?
@@rakoman4234 it creates a hostile environment for people who arent parsers
@@queenmarsia keep in mind that ppl still create chill grps for raids or alt raids regardless of parsing.. parses are useful to improve urself or join ppl who are like minded that want to parse aswell. Taking away parsing is just crazy and selfish. If u want to play in a chill environment, join a casual guild or chill grps or even create chill grps urself.
“Classic is about the journey”
“Return player buffs?”
Wut????
YES. Classic+ hype.
And 2nd the services chat channel. allow world summon services, but that needs to gtfo of LFG chat

23:08 I wish they would bring the LFG chat ban from retail to cata classic. LFG chat is worse than OG Barrens at this point.
There’s no way the release this before Sod is over
I won't be satisfied with class minor changes.
There are classes that are unplayable in wow classic, so minor changes won't do anything.
Love rocking my prot paladin in SoD.
Classes or do you mean specs
@@shotgun2010 Both.
Agree, rocking two dozen Fury Warriors in Naxx is a joke.
Dont get too much hyped, you know the devs work...
honeslty i think the best think for classic plus would be to limit it, TBC and wotlk are very beloved expansions too so imo i think they would be better off bringing in outland and northrent, stopping there and then just building on those 3 contentients
Have an option in graphics setting to hide transmog of other players. Problem solved.
Don't punch me in the face, but I would love to have Retail model in Classic
Did you just say "hit the towers"? I KNEW IT!
Turtle WoW is thriving bruh, not sure what you're trying to say with the disclaimer on the top left.
I don't think I have full context but I think he means he got it mixed up with another server that got shut down idk
Human druids exist, Gilnean people were druids even before becoming worgens 11:13
They didn't run out of time for anything in og classic, they decided to release an expansion due to everquests success
😂
Damn man, straight to aggro and completely misunderstanding what I'm saying.
They didn’t do anything to turtle wow. What are you talking about?
if this happens ill buy a WoW sub for the first time in my entire life
Idgaf what they do, just do something isn’t retail that takes place in the vanilla world that attracts a healthy player base that actively plays and doesn’t die and I’ll play it
