    Here's my comparison of the new BMW R 1300 GS and BMW F 900 GS. In this head-to-head, I explain why I believe that there may a shift in the buying tendencies in BMW customers. Also, these two new BMW motorcycles are compared in separate categories in order to make is as fair and objective as possible.

    Only reviewer I know to verify the weight was Zach courts at Revzilla. He had the white one with no crash bars. It was 566 lbs.

    'the 1300GS is EASIER to move around ( garage, P-place...) than the 900F ! Even much easier.
    The CC on the 900F works 50% with QS ! - only UP. When shifting down, the CC disconnects ! 😖😖 I asked the dealer - why, but they didn't know. In other words - the 1300 is easier to live with, better at everything, except tougher off-roading

    Zac also weighed the f900 gs. Came in at 491 so the weight difference is 75 lbs

    In my view, the 1300 GS in its pure form is vastly superior to the 900, even when the latter comes fully equipped. The boxer engine delivers unparalleled power, and the suspension is a clear upgrade. In terms of comfort, the 1300 stands in a class of its own, while wind noise and buffeting are much more of an issue on the 900 GS.

    I think you misunderstood the main concept of those bikes. Comparison in the city condition does not reflect true pros of those bikes. In my eyes F900GS was build to compete with 890R and Desert X in off road adventure riding while R1300GS meant to be more like Multistrada and lost its old flavor of rough adventure riding .

    Yes just have them both! a 1250 GSA for longer trips and the 900 for short en offroad fun. Just like your conclusion,

    Both Akrapovic cans on the new GS’ sound worse than competitor’s stock cans in many cases, I’ve ridden both and I wasn’t impressed. Seems like they just printed the logo on a standard exhaust and called it a day. My friend put an actual Akrapovic on the new Transalp and it sounds like a beast with db killer installed, so this leads me to believe that the stock Akrapovic cans on these bikes are just not up to par with aftermarket Akrapovic exhausts.

    Talking about pricing ... take a look at the new pricing strategy from BMW for the 2025 models. On the R1300 GS you now must select the premium package and ASA is not a extra price item. The price for ASA equipped and Quick shifter equipped R1300 GS is identical (here in the USA at least). You can choose, but both cost the same. Prices also went up so with fees etc. any R1300 GS starts now above $28-29k in the US.

    Really an amazing review done fairly as usual. Love your channel. So much information delivered in the most realistic manner. I love my R1300gs after over 6 months. My other bike is K1600 GTL 2013 with over 30k miles but that I would not change for anything else but a new K1600 GTL or B. The only close competitor there is Honda Goldwing which I really like but can't prefer that over K1600.
    Can you please do a comparison of the K1600 vs Goldwing?

    U can forget about the drive shaft of 1300GS, IF u plan, or ARE going to sell it, before it makes 80000km, because after that - it should be REPLACED ☝☝🧐
    And be sure - when u hit some back problems ( regardless age ) u will more happily jump on the 1300.... 😀

    To buy BMW below 1250 is like to buy Porsche Macan or Chayenne. You know this is not Porshe (VW), however without those, Porsche would not be able to produce 911. Conclusion, you drive "Chinese" BMW to make happy owners of

      maybe it matters for posers, lol. F serie has engines made in China since 2008 and no technical recalls unlike bigger GS.
