My 25 year old Mori Seiki SL/Y machines still hold .0002 all day long. The non-Y axis machines even better. Even with all the morons they hire me that crash them.
@@radoslavzivanov8272 yes i mean going from like U2.6 to U2.7 so it doesn't make a pass again at the same diameter for nothing. Haas allows you also to do G71 P1 Q2 D2.6 F0.26 for single line instead of two lines (D being the same as U) just as an easy tip :)
I have to admit that for the money, HAAS has no competition ! Fanuc based, very easy and intuitive software, good repeatability of steps and holding tolerance, very good machine for the money ! For provocateurs: of course it's not a $250,000 Mazak...of course it's not the stiffest machine in the world, of course it's not the best machine in the world, but show me the same, new machine in the given price category

add 0.1 to chip thickness

for my experience atleast haas sl-30 is one piece of shit to be honest :D i guess they just didn't know howto make lathes in the 2000's
