Cracking selection this month nick,the last auction box was a good score ,you got some really good bargains Chester. Plus a cold witch you got for free ,I hope you feel better soon .

Cheers Martin, it was great at Dagfields, nice not having to pay postage on the models, like on eBay, gives one a little more to spend on more models 😉😁👍 There was a bit of rubbish in the box from the auction but the good ones outweighed the not so good! I think I got the cold from my Mrs. She had it before we left for the holiday, so I half expected to catch it lol, it’s one of those that just seems to carry on for ages🤦🏻♂🤧😷

Fantastic video Nick, I can't name my favourite models this month as there are so many, however , I love those Castrol Oil tankers you've collected. 😎 I really enjoyed the video of Dagfields at the end, it looks like an Aladdin's Cave. I've found a spare arm with the silver saw blade to fit your Corgi MF165, but it's missing the flexible drive Spring and the silver plastic mesh screen that protects the driver from flying bits of hedge. Looking forward to some more fantastic restoration videos in the coming year. It was great to meet you and Monica in Chester, sorry to hear you caught a bad cold, hope you're feeling better soon. Thank you Peter, I had a good couple of weeks on the model collecting front, no back to reality with a bump lol, back to work this morning🤦🏻♂🤧😳 That’s cool you have the saw blade for the MF165, I didn’t realize that it had a drive off the back tyre to make it turn, hopefully I can make up a spring and guard for it or find one now I know what is needed😊👍 We really enjoyed our week in Chester and hope to come back late in the year, depends on how much overtime I can get for the rest of the summer but look forward to seeing you both when you come to Jersey, take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸
Has your 165 with hedge cutter got the correct back tyre fitted with the teeth on the inside which drives the blade? I think the flexible drive spring for the Dinky manure spreader (Model Supplies) might be able to be possibly adapted to drive the blade. I might have a spare back tyre with the gear teeth on if you need one, just let me know. 👍
Wow a nice collection of model you must of fill that shopping basket up , i was not very interested in the yesteryear model but then you got to the trucks 👌cool . The ford D series tipper was nice they code 3 nice just like the Bedford TK , my cousin turned one of the Matchbox Ford D low loader in to a Tipper this was back in the 70s he made the Tipper part out of a matchbox . I thought it was a great idea so just giving you a idea for one of the Ford D low loader you got .

Thanks Ralph, glad you enjoyed it, yes the Ford D series tipper was one of the reasons I decided to buy that lot, some code 3 opportunities in that crate, with the Land Rover discovery, I was meaning that I wasn’t sure who the actual toy model was made by, no makers name on the base. It was jolly good fun at Dagfields, I really enjoyed my day there lol😉😁👍

Pretty eclectic haul there, Nick, but I have to admit I didn't see anything I was desperate about until the Dinky Ford D Series at an hour and twelve, the Chipperfields' dodgy trailer and the Bond Bug! What do you do with all the stuff you DON'T want... back to eBay? Isn't the Claas always greener on the other side of the fence? Get well soon!
Thank you Fraser, I like a good mix of different models but the ones you mentioned was what made me go for the auction lot, I was hoping to find the rest of the scammel cab in the box but sadly no. I don’t sell on eBay as too dodgy, stuff goes missing in the post, the more modern matchbox and such like I pass on to my Grandchildren, I have thought to put some aside to put at the local auction to help fund the paint as that is very expensive over here in Jersey, but at the end of the day I can never find much that I want to get rid of lol! It was a good month for bargains lol, that Dagfields is a great place to visit, we always go there now when we come over on holiday😊👍
