Mine grows in my regular household ambient humidity. It is in tree fern, soil and orchiata with a leca reservoir in a drainless vessel. It is doing very well

That's awesome, MeiHua16! It sounds like your Anthurium is thriving in your home's conditions. It's always fascinating to hear how different mixes work for different plants and plant parents. Thanks for sharing your success! Keep on growing! 🌱💚

Do you keep water in it at the Leca reservoir all the time?

I have one growing in room conditions. I have it from chunk and ever since I got it, has only one tiny burn on it because I forgot to water it :)) the transition to pon was seamless and I'm very happy with it.

Hey Amuza, that's fantastic! It sounds like your Anthurium is loving its home. Just a tiny burn, huh? That's quite the achievement! 🙌 It's such a relief when our plant babies transition smoothly to new conditions. Keep up the great work! 👍

I think the Luxurians should be nicknamed The Emperor ->They are every bit as stunning as the King and Queen Anthurium, but so much easier to care for!

Don’t have a pure Luxurions but do have a Rad x Lux and personally would say it’s an easy care plant and bonus grows quickly, but as you say do not let it dry out. I can honestly say has not skipped a beat since I’ve had it, no leaves lost, or browning. She lives in normal room temp and humidity. Last month it gave me 4 leaves all at once, the last leaf is just hardening off now, I’m still trying to get over that! Lol. I bought it from one of your favs Grow Tropicals and it was around £80 couple of months ago. 💚

@@sherryporsch9349 it’s got to be one of my easiest plants, the only one that’s easier is the pothos, and I even struggle with that sometimes 😂. Hope that you are keeping well Sherry?

That's amazing, Kathy! 😍 Your Rad x Lux sounds like a superstar, and four leaves all at once is certainly something to celebrate. 🎉Thanks for sharing your experiences with me. It's so great to hear when our green friends thrive! 🌿

I grow all my Anthurium in my home in ambient condition . I grow all my plants out in my home . I do not have plant cabinets or a tent . My luxurians is doing great , it is slow at growing but worth the wait .

Hi there, it sounds like you're doing a fantastic job keeping your Anthurium and other plants happy in ambient conditions! 🌟 It's all about patience in this plant journey, isn't it? Your Anthurium luxurians is a testament to that. Keep up the great work!

Just ordered Anthurium radicans x luxurians starter plant last week. Seller notified me it was placed in the mail today from Florida. I am so excited to be receiving it this week. I’m trying to learn all I can about this plant before receiving it. The information you’re sharing is very helpful. Thanks for sharing.

It’s funny, now that I have some anthuriums, I actually like the slower growth of anthuriums. With philodendrons their speed of growth almost stresses me out…Like hey I just gave you a new pot and you are already throwing a foot over the side!

Such a beautiful plant 😍 It's been on top of my wishlist. Good to hear it grows slowly - that's exactly what I'm looking for 😃 Only need to make space for it 🤔 Kaylee was saying that's one of the easiest anthuriums, so great that you have similar experience.

This was my FIRST anthurium and I bought this year through Ecuagenera. I keep it in my mini greenhouse in a bedroom so the humidity usually doesn’t dip below 75% in it even in the winter, I’m in the US. So far so good.

I got my Anthurium Luxurians x Radicans on 5/22 ($40) and my Anthurium Luxurians on 5/27 ($50). The LxR has already given me a beautiful new leaf. No growth on the Lux, but to be fair, I found root rot on her so she’s been in rehab. I just potted her into PON (no drainage) yesterday. The LxR is still in the soil she came in (I got her from a friend). They’re both in my bedroom which is between 68-72F and 38-60% humidity (it can get a bit higher when I remember to run my humidifier). They’re both doing great. Very hardy plant in my limited experience. I love it so much I ordered Lux Chocolate and a Lux Super Velvet from Tropicals ($35 each). They’ll be here mid month. I sure hope you’re wrong about it not shipping well!

    • @Houseplantygoodness
      @Houseplantygoodness  ปีที่แล้ว

Sounds like you're really enjoying your Anthurium journey, Caroline! 🥳 The LxR and Lux variants seem to be doing well under your care. It's awesome that you've already noticed new growth on the LxR. 🌱 Sorry to hear about the root rot on the Lux, but with your care, I'm sure it'll bounce back soon. 🤞 Fingers crossed for your upcoming Lux Chocolate and Lux Super Velvet arrivals - can't wait to hear how they do. Remember, every plant is unique and may react differently to shipping. I'm hoping yours will arrive in fantastic condition! 😊🌿 Keep up the awesome plant parenting! 💪💚"

Hello, Memo. Have you already done a video where you bust your own myths? Hearing you talk about small pot sizes always reminds me of early days when I thought *everything* I purchased automatically needed to be repotted into a (usually much) larger vessel. Or that any plant actually "thrives on neglect," etc. Cheers from the middle of America.

I’m on my 2nd one. I think I over fertilized the first one. New leaves burned up. Just bought a new one. Largest leaf is about the size of my hand. I have small hands and I’m a woman so about 5” inches. It was $40 which I thought was a pretty good price.

What I hate the most about lux is that if it's the mother plant, the seeds will take a minumum of 12 months to ripen. More often than not, it's around 14-16 months from pollination to seeds. My big one keeps pushing an inflo now with every new leaf (which is about every 6 weeks).
I've had a ton of pest issues with mine since I've had it (which is about 3 years now). Especially thrips seem to love my lux, even though the leaves are so much thicker than almost any other Anthurium. Literally every single time I've had thrips, the lux had them and there were always the most on my lux.

😉 . Un saludo 👍💌
