That is some really clear glass. Looks like a lot of fun doing that. My cousin's hubby does that as well, down in the South of the country. Be safe and hug the puppy! Cheers!
As a balistics expert watch the impact on your target is amazing with the energy produced. Great as usual but your videography is fantastic.. Stay safe!
That gun sounds so smooth... No ping from a hammer spring, just a smooth movement of air. accurate as get out... and its 12 ft. lbs. Go figure... Thank you for the video... C out... 😎
Hi mate, can't believe I missed your vid until now....I'll put it down to another senior moment lol. Needless to say that your shooting is, as always, consistently on point and thank you as always for your time to film, edit and share. Hope you and Jack are well, best wishes mate!
Wallop!! Great video Simon, looking forward to getting back on my perm after a holiday. 👍. Hopefully, there will be plenty to go at. I'm looking forward to your next video.
Another great video thanks for posting I’m toying with the idea of trading my ATN 4k in for a Hik Alpex a50t but since watching this I may wait a bit to be able to buy the Hik 4k it looks a fantastic bit of kit 👍
That pbir brings out the best in it too , must get one of those , but also wanting a condor thermal or habrok. Too expensive all these gadgets, pbir first....that's not too bad compared to thermal😂
Bloody good night Simon 12ftlb play a massive part of pest control I’ve always got mine in car coz you never know what you’ll come across. Keep at em and keep videos coming 👍
Awesome video Simon looks like the first permission was short on the rat's but the second one was like hitting the lottery. Shooting sub 12 fpe sure does a number on the rat's. Cheers Simon and give Jack a pat for me.
Didn't think I'd find myself saying this.... but I'm that impressed with my Alpex LRF that I got rid of my Digex C50.😮 I do use the LRF a lot, as the scope's sat on my 17 Hornet so drop is a factor 175 meters and above and the Hornet is good on foxes out to 300 easy, so the LRF is a godsend. I've left glass on my .243 but in truth, the Alpex is about as good an 'all-in-one' as it's possible to get at the moment... I actually prefer it to thermal because of the far better ID capability of IR... last thing you want to do is confuse a resting lamb for a resting fox!
A lot of landowners under estimate how effective sub 12 is, along with the bad press that some members of society have given air rifles and their owners makes perm acquisition very difficult. People like you help to change the perception associated with air gunners 👍
Great footage as always. I was going to ask about the alpex as i see it on a lot of your rifles. I have a ds35 and do the same but i cant go from sub12 to 17hmr without messing around with scope ring shims. Makes sense that you have two identical scopes! Haha not a solution my debit card will entertain 😅
Hello Simon, I was just enjoying these fine shots, when I thought about good ol' Jack, how is he doing these days. Maybe you could show s a few clips of him on an upcoming video?
Great video as always. Hope you and jack all good. When’s the old boy coming out of retirement? Bless him. Love my hik 4k so far. Will be out with mine on rats this week if weather ok. Ballistic calculator works from the brief test I did on 22. Think people imputing data wrong. Having problems with them.
@@simon6ppc246 worked perfect with the loopy 22 at different distances. That’s all I was interested in it working for. Won’t need it for foxes or rats. No ones done any vids to show it works. Maybe vid idea. I like to see stuff used in real world conditions. That’s why asked you. Is the pbir good for rats and foxes ect? Only ever used onboard pard ir for rats and close stuff. More than welcome to these zan slugs I’ve got if you want them. Won’t be changing my rating set up.
Just bought an alpex 4k because of your videos. I've had a little play with it but waiting on 30mm rings to arrive to mount her. Looking forward to getting out and bashing some rabbits for the pot. What mounts are you using? I was recommended BKL. Great video as always Simon.
Only fault I've had with the new Alpex is some of the videos won't download onto the APP. You may have 15 that are ok, then 4 or 5 that are corrupt. My mate is having the same problems also with the 4K
@@simon6ppc246 Cheers, sorry for so many questions but I've also been looking considering a windmeter of some sort. People tend to favor Kestrel but there are so many versions that I've hardly got any idea what is actually necessary for longer range hunting and which models just add comfort. I do not mind doing my calculations on a piece of paper or my phone if needed. Would very much appreciate your input.

Thanks for the video Simon. Question: how do you charge the farmers for rats/crows/magpies/foxes etc? Is it per animal or just per visit?

What pellets where they in the green box? Your channel is great mate. It's like the shooting version of the fish locker.
Hyia pal they were 10.34 Gr JSBs.

FAC?
They do pal yes in the UK.
