Re:Zero is a story about growing via being forced to face your mistakes. and In my opinion, it's done really well. the climatic moments feel very earned. as far as its music, some of the insert songs are real bangers. "Straight Bet" is probably my favorite of them, it's a perfect fit for where they placed it in the show.

Yeah all of the Tom-H@ck songs are worth listening to. While not as nostalgic as Styx Helix, I think Memento (ed 3) is also very strong

Styx Helix is the best ED to ever exist. It matches that slightly depressing atmosphere of the show so well. So much pain
The reverse guitar in the beginning is so perfect for the show since time-reversal is a key element of the show!
And in the actual opening sequence when that is playing you also see the main character's bloody death play in reverse, then at the end of the opening we get to see that same death play out again but not in reverse, making the whole opening able to loop in on itself which is also very fitting as time-loops are another key element of the show.
You know the movie "Happy Death Day"?
Re:Zero is kinda like that but it's also happening to a guy who's been mysteriously sent to a magical fantasy world (as anime protagonists have a tendency to do)

Best anime series hands down. Also the novels on which it is based are absolutely fantastic.
oh man I wasn't expecting to see this here, I love how this song switches from heavy to light in the best ways possible. I'd recommend reacting to requiem of silence from the same show, it is purely instrumental though it is orchestral and not as hard as this one.
So happy to see you react to this opening. The singer has such a nice tone which only adds to the amazing intrumental
My personal overall favorite series, the anime does a generally nice job adapting it, but the written source material is next level in terms of writing quality and scale of the world/story. A fun series to go into blind, because while the opening few episodes of the series are probably its weakest point, it's still a strong hook regardless.
I love the beginning of the show. But I agree everything else ahead is amazing

You should have seen the actual opening as well, because you heard how the beginning sounds like the instruments play in reverse. And if you had seen the anime, it would have been awesome to realize, that everything in the beginning is playing in reverse actually.

Amazing as always, I'd love you to react to other re;Zero songs, especially Styx Helix (ED 1) and Paradisus Paradoxum (OP 2). The series is an isekai (protagonist gets teleported to a fantasy world), but instead of usual fantasy powers he expects to get, he has the ablitiy to "return to a checkpoint". If he were to die, he'd return to a certain point in time, set seemingly at random, beyond his control. But he can't tell anyone, because he also dies whenever he tries. So he has to defeat his enemies and solve his issues by going back to the last checkpoint time and time again, trying out new things and getting new info to eventually reach a future where everyone lives and is happy, at least until the next time the shit goes down, which happens a lot. It is VERY fun and I can't recommend it enough. I's based on a novel series, which is even better, but I get you'll likely prefer to check out the anime.
Re:Zero is an isekai, meaning character from our normal earth transported to another, typically fantasy, world. Without spoiling it's about normal guy who really isn't strong or gifted coming to terms with his own weakness as he struggles desperately to fight for the things he cares about in this new world. The main character is very flawed but I think that's strength of this show. He's not some chosen hero, he doesn't make all the right calls, and there are moments you'll be mad at him for things he does, but that also makes him feel very real and the story well written and it makes the progression of that story that much more satisfying.
The third op is definitely my favorite, I’d recommend giving it a listen as well

It's a very busy track and it does indeed sound better from a high quality file vs a reuploaded video. Though I will say some of the distortion and synth stuff is intended, the show itself and the other OP songs kind of make that all makes sense.

Highly recommend checking out Re: Zero OP 2, ED 1, and ED 3. Those are the Myth & Roid/Tom-H@ck songs from the anime, and I think Tom has a really interesting style for the anime songs he makes or collaborates on
You should try listening to Mushoku Tensei openings and endings. Not as pop/rock as Re:Zero but definitely worth listening to. I'd specifically recommend Kaze to Yuku Michi (風と行く道, Tabibito no Uta (旅人の唄), and Only (オンリー) all by Yuiko Ohara. Great music imo

Just wanted to recommend a song called "Shoujo Rei" by MikitoP. It is a vocaloid song however, so I'd suggest listening to the I guess you could call it licensed cover by "More More Jump" which has the original vocaloid singing, but also two humans. Love your videos!
In my opinion Re:Zero also contains some of the best OSTs in the whole anime.
Try "Requiem of Silence", "Takt of Heroes Origin" and also "The Past’s Destination" these compositions are my FAVORITE OF ALL TIME
