Ok actually considering how s2 is about depression and other related issues, it genuinely CAN help with curing depression. Not in a light hearted way of distracting you with pain, but with acknowledgement of pain and the way to work on overcoming it
Its not a forbidden love story, its a story about just how much pain and suffering will get anyone insane.

Something really great about Re:Zero is that you can have a dozen comments saying what it is about and get a dozen different explanations. Because the truth is Re:zero masterfully weaves together a ton of themes, philosophies, and messages that people can resonate with on a very deep, almost too personal level. But if I had to throw my hat in the ring I think this phrase best describes Re:zero.
"I love them all. That's why I can't stop."
That chapter itself kind of represents everything rezero is about imo (im pretty sure you're quoting arc 6 chapter 74 atleast)
The anime is also about removing much of what Rem means to Subaru.

Love this anime. Without spoiling anything, ReZero really just asks the question "How far are you willing to go to save the people you care about?" and for me, it gives one of the most satisfying answers possible. Not telling you what it is though 😇
It's such a wild show that swings from some very wish-fulfillment stuff to really just having very honest depictions of mental illness and how ugly that can be.
I also really recommend this one.

Re:Zero definitely is a story about "love," but its not so simply a love story between two people. Re:Zero can be considered a character study in a fantasy setting. But the brilliance of the series is that it isn't boxed in as just that either.
Through the use of a unique plot device, the narrative explores different aspects of the characters and the protagonist himself through the different circumstances they are all put in. Subaru as a protagonist is a flawed person with deep rooted issues and is an emotionally immature teenager consistently forced to confront many realities about the world and about himself too. Your description "he's fighting some inner demons" is as close as you can get on Subaru and his struggles in this story.
That's about as much as I can say without going into deeper spoilers about what makes this story soo good.

Re:Zero is the story about the connections between people and the anxieties one might get while navigating through those bonds after being alone for so long. Re:Zero is one of those animes where people are genuinely people, everyone is flawed and many have insecurities holding them back, this teaches us how to move past them and become greater individuals.
Forbidden love story is one of the most out there yet not quite inaccurate predictions i've seen

I just found this channel because of this reaction and wow, I am actually really impressed. You got a lot of things sort of right in a way, but obviously are missing some details since you haven't seen the show. This show is literally my favorite show of all time and I've seen many people react to these openings and endings and nobody really understood what was going on as much. I'm glad you're able to pick up on some of these points without having to see the show. Really makes me interested in your reaction of the show. By the way, the second ending song is sung by the girl's voice actress.
Edit: People are saying it's not a forbidden love story. I mean yes and no. Depends on what angle you look at it I guess.
One of my favourite anime of all time, two episodes stick with me after watching. Especially one in season one, just staring at the screen for a few minutes. Reading the LN and side stories and there is a lot depth and worldbuilding. Must watch in my eyes.

This show is great, I passed it over for many years until I finally watched it last year. Highly recommend giving it a try
one of my fav animes, without spoilers the story is about love, but not centered on the romantic side, because there are lots of main plots happening, really emotional in some parts, but not how you would expect. Highly Recomended

And it's not a forbidden love story. The genre of this anime are isekai/supernatural/time travel/suspense/drama/fantasy and psychological. This should give you somewhat of an idea.
But obviously love story too, tbh ;)
Re:Zero isn’t something you can understand unless you’ve actually experienced it. The novel is genuinely one of the greatest stories ever written and the pinnacle of fantasy. The anime adaptation isn’t the best as it cuts a lot of important content and the animation isn’t very good, but it does its job and the story alone still makes it one of the greatest anime out there. The characterization is absolutely peak. The writing of the protagonist Subaru is so brilliant and something you won’t see in any other story. The female cast is one of the best in fiction. The worldbuilding and lore is top tier, although the anime doesn’t really do it justice. This isn’t just a romance like you think, this is literally everything you can ask for in a perfect fantasy. And if you start it, be prepared for ultimate suffering …
Still have not read the novel, but going to. I can say animation is good enough to motivate me to re-watch it many times and to read the novel :)

I've never seen someone have the "he's fighting his inner self, the inner battles". But like most, people always think white hair means same people like how all black haired people are the same.

HOLY. reacting to all the (Re) openings and endings for the first time was an incredible experience! Each one perfectly captured the emotion and intensity of the series. The music and visuals are stunning, and seeing the evolution from season 1 to 4 was mind-blowing. This reaction really made me appreciate the artistry behind Re

This anime is SOOOOO good. Its a mystery suspense fantasy anime. It is pretty gory and really amazing
I will say one thing about this series that isn’t spoilers is that its an isekai, meaning the main character got transported from earth to another world.
This is the core premise behind how most series in the isekai genre start. There are several varieties of isekai, but the core premise is the MC is in a new world unlike their own whether that be time travel, teleportation, reincarnation, etc. The reason why the MC is in sweats is literally because that’s what he was wearing when he got ‘isekai’d’, and he quite likes it lol
Aight, I'm just gonna said that's what I love from this channel is not about the reaction. But how she makes theory, and almost everytime it's really far from the real things.

To say that Subaru is facing inner demons is an understatement! but the only demon that I remember that would make you shed a waterfall of blood are the xenomorphs from Alien. so it's obvious that his internal problems are the least of his problems..😂😂
Such a great show. It can be very emotional on different levels... some of which I rarely see in media (maybe I just suck at choosing the right media?) portrayed as well as in this.. or at all quite frankly. If you can get behind the main character (which some can't unfortunately) you'll absolutely love this. As you said, it's right up your alley, and from what I've seen of your other reactions (specifically one punch man and Kaiju No 8), I absolutely agree. That being said, the story CAN be somewhat confusing at times (purposely). But that's part of the fun.

Both sub and Dub are great voice acting wise, if you can understand Japanese I'd recommend the sub, but the subtitles themselves have a few mistranslations. With that in mind if you can't understand spoken Japanese I say go for the Dub, the voice acting is also quality in that and the translation works much better.

It still seems incredible to me how in the adaptation they sought to eliminate everything related to what Rem means to Subaru, either by eliminating important scenes that give meaning to a certain question that Subaru was about to ask, as in the openings (especially the third one that It was the best time)

In my opinion Re zero is a show with very layered plot points .....with emotions, personalities & character growth being the main driving force of the show. It's one of my fav animes now, although I didn't liked it in my first watch as much as I do now.... If you're gonna watch it, then take your time to cook up theories because there are hella lot in this show. Enjoy~
It's not a forbiden love story. It's an isekai with swords, magic and monsters. There are at least 4 important characters with white hair and similar face so the girl with dark robes and butterflies is not her.
Consider watching and reacting to the episodes; it's the best, if not the only, truly good isekai.
I'm so hyped how they will portrait Arc 6, but i know it will be another Masterpiece of Storytelling and Music. Tappei is a legend and they always choose the best Music as OST and OP/ED. Hyped
