Desmond Tutu is honored for his OUTSPOKEN support of LGBTIQ human rights around the world. And he returns the love.
Desmond Mpilo Tutu is a South African social rights activist and retired Anglican bishop who rose to worldwide fame during the 1980s as an opponent of apartheid.

One of the very VERY few high ranking clerics in Anglicanism (in ANY ism for that matter) to apologise for the abuses (and the continued abuse) of LGBTQ people.
Such a proud son of South Africa!! Makes me proud to be a gay South African!!

I cried when he apologised on behalf of organised religion for promoting homophobia. It's refreshing to hear a religious man who truly embodies the concept of the love of God.

My dear Lord forgive us for we know what we are doing forgive this man for violating your laws and paying tribute to mans law. Lord I dont know what to say to you but SORRY FORGIVE.
Lord he has it all wrong. It does not go like that. He is twisting your laws upside down. He is mixing the spiritual with the physical. It is satan who has mixed up God's plan for us and has to be fought against. It has always been Adam and Eve Man and Woman. Bishop Tu Tu YOU ARE WRONG.
You should be apologising for every gay teenager that has committed suicide. For every gay man or woman murdered by Christian laws, and for every trans gendered person who continues to be abused by your teachings. Shame on you and those like you! God bless people like Desmond Tutu. He will be remembered when your name is ash.

Desmond Tutu is without a doubt the greatest person living today. The fact that he is not Archbishop of Canterbury is beyond ridiculous. The Anglican Church needs to change it's policy of having the Archbishop chosen by the prime minister of England.
It's really so sad the church can't know what's really happening
Instead of us telling the world the wrong path that they have chosen to take we are busy covering up their evil acts

And thats good but you are going too far. Too far east is west!!! God wants you to advocate for those without voice but its not all that say Lord Lord loves Him. When God makes something beautiful the devil comes in to twist it around and then it does not face the same way God made it to stand.
