I love knitting socks too. I’m now progressing to more than single colors. My daughter has a terminal disease. Hospital medical staff like to see me come with my time-passing craft, my current sock project. It is small so it fits in my purse, not large that it drapes over the chair or fall to the floor. It doesn’t offer the same possibility of bringing in infection or taking out hospital germs from being a large project item, shawl, afghan, etc. I started knitting socks during Covid. I don’t enjoy knitting anything else. Do I qualify as a potential sock knitting member. So glad I found your blog!! Today is my lucky day. I needs all your advice and words of wisdom on sock knitting. I so want to try color work.
Never have I heard anyone talk so passionately about socks... I have never actually been able to knit (I'm a crochet girly) but I think you just convinced me to go pick up a pair of needles... lol
Yesss! I am so happy I decided to learn how to knit! It has been so much fun knowing how to both knit and crochet! I will say, it totally feels weird and awkward when you first start... but your muscles eventually learn the movement :)
Socks were also my second knitting project. I started 18 months ago and cast off my 38th pair last week. I almost always have a sock on the go now. My sock projects can fit into my coat pocket or handbag whilst I’m out and about which is super practical as a mum. I get a few stitches in when ever I can. You’re right about them being great gifts too. I’ve knit for my friends and family and everyone has always enjoyed them.
This was a great video! I feel inspired to share even more reasons! 1.) It’s a great way to use single skeins, especially those more wild variegated ones you may not want to use in a garment. 2.) There are so many methods to explore, from the types of needles (DPNs, magic loop, 9 in circular, flexible DPNs), to an array of different constructions and heels (there’s this one pattern I’ve seen that basically has you knit strips for the sock), and some people can get really into customizing them for the best fit. If you get bored with repeating projects, there’s always a way to keep it fresh! 3.) While second sock syndrome is a thing, knitting the socks in tandem can really help! 4.) A 100 g ball of sock yarn can go a long way, especially if you use a different yarn for heels, toes, and cuffs. You can also use scraps for things like colorwork and stripey socks. 5.) Sock yarn is really versatile and can be used for many other types of projects, and you can hold it with other yarns to meet a thicker gauge for different projects.
I am a sock knitter and not ashamed of it. I consider it my super power. People are so impressed when they see me knitting socks. I'm up to pair 29 and have a couple of hundred patterns and many skeins of yarn waiting to be knitted up. My Facebook feed is almost entirely sock knitting groups.😊
I only wear handknit socks now, even in the summer! Also, I love making my socks scrappy, or however I feel like in the moment, so very few of my socks actually match, and it's a point of pride
Scrappy socks are the best! Very fun and colorful- and a great way to add visual interest to vanilla socks imho. My first pair of scrappy socks were shortie/ankle socks, and very pretty…but I did not try them on as I was knitting. I learned at the end - after weaving in all the ends as I went, naturally - that I had picked the wrong size in the pattern. So they’re now my mom’s socks.
I just started learning how to knit socks after I got laid off a couple weeks ago and it has totally changed how I think about knitting! It is so satisfying.
I live in Florida and am hyping myself up to knit my first pair of socks out of 75% wool & 25% nylon. Are you telling me that I might actually be able to wear these without sweating them off or getting trench foot?
I love making socks. I felt so proud when I made my first pair. My brother’s gf had to go through chemo this past winter and I made her a pair to wear to her chemo infusions and she was so touched by having something made with love to wear to something so scary. She did her last session last week too!

I've been knitting socks for years and I agree with everything you said! Especially the part about it being way more beginner friendly than most people think. I kind of learned knitting in the "wrong" order (started with socks, then a sweater, then a couple of hats, and have yet to make a scarf lol). It really is a lot less intimidating than it may look, it's a cheap way to start because you don't need large quantities of yarn, and you learn so many important techniques. Great video! :)
I have knitted lace doilies and tablecloths for 50 plus years. I love using tiny needles and thin crochet thread. The smallest size needles I have used is 0000 and size 30 thread. At times I am using 3 cable needles. 2 on the project and 1 to work with. All are 60 inches long. It's beautiful to see the lace come together. I am starting to learn socks because I have never made a pair. I am learning 2 at a time method with magic loop beginning. Thanks for your video. You hit all the right reasons for knitting. I like my projects portable.
I watched half the video and that alone made me jump outta my chair, grab a pair of unused dpns and now I have the beginnings of a sock in my hands. I love this cult.

Lol I’m currently reinforcing my socks because I’ve been wearing them so much (plus some likely don’t have enough nylon - my grandmother who also knits socks gave me some mystery wool) and want to keep wearing them. Your video made me get out of my cozy bed and go to my library/favorite knit spot and grab a pair because cozy feet sounded lovely!
Love the magic of knitting my own socks. Just finished a pair that i had on my needles for months. Finished the leg, heel, foot and toe of sock one and knit the second on in less than two days.
I've been knitting socks for many years, but if I had not, this episode would convince me to do it all over again 😊 love your enthusiasm. Also your froggy socks are so cute!
Your list is exactly why I enjoy knitting socks. The 'sock heel turns are magic' is something I say a lot. You're knitting along, you do a few shortrows, and magically you have something people can identify as a sock! I also agree that there are so many patterns that you will never knit them all. I probably have 400 patterns saved and all of them are FREE. I have them divided into textures, lace, and colorwork. I also love the idea of coming up with these patterns, if they are lace, textured, or colorwork. within the confines of the 56/64/72 stitch parameter. As a person who loves math, I find it fascinating. Your froggy socks are adorable! You did a great job on both pair. Yes, handknit socks are amazing to wear, amazing to knit, completely portable. I enjoy knitting them so much, I have 8 pair on the needles. I would love to get a few pair off the needles because that is WAY to many. My goal is to finish those 8 and perhaps a few more. I want to knit 2 pair each for my grandsons because they came over to go sledding and had to borrow my socks! Their's will be tube socks, though, so they can wear them longer.
Its so funny because growing up I always HATED math and told myself I would never have a job/hobby that has anything to do with it, but now I crochet, knit, and sew and I am constantly doing math 😅. I also teach theatre and have to build sets and there's SO much math in construction!! Maybe I don't actually mind it 🤣 Also, 400 patterns!!?!?! That is amazing!!
@@nataliebeau creative people do a lot of math. I dont do set design, but help design our 4H booth annually. We have a theme for the fair and decorate accordingly. This year's theme is Passport to Fun. We have a space that's 3x8x8. It's always fun to come up with ideas and props.
I learned to knit, just because I wanted to knit socks. I followed Marly Bird from Red Heart, she taught a 4 video (maybe 5 ) series, and I learned using DPN’S we knitted house socks on size 5 needles, but then we had the 100% ability to knit them. Everyone loves hand knit socks, I work on them all year, they are my Christmas presents and they all look forward to them. 😎
Shortie socks are perfect in warmer weather….they wick away sweat, or super breathable and naturally keep your feet from stinking! lol I’m addicted to knitting socks! My grown kids and I ONLY wear hand knit socks now ❤ 🧦
Wool is naturally moisture wicking and will actually keep your feet feeling nice in the summer. It will pull the sweat away from your feet and use that moisture to keep your feet cool.
The first thing I ever knitted was a pair of socks! I was a strict crocheter as well. It taught me so much learning socks first and I stand by my choice. Everything else came a lot easier for me because of it. Even though everyone told me I was crazy and I wouldn't be able to do it
I love your froggy socks❤. I’m 58 yo and living in the Perth Hills in Western Australia but your approach is so fresh! Your finishing is excellent so I’m guessing you’re a real craftsperson. Glad you turned up on my feed. PS I totally agree with everything you say about socks. I love knitting them and gifting them too. You go girl!❤❤
I agree with you. I’ve been knitting socks for over 10 years and I am totally addicted to knitting them, the beautiful sock yarns and the great sock patterns that are available. I’m so addicted to it that I can “hear” my sock yarn in my storage room calling my name & telling me to knit it into a pair of socks. Nothing like wearing a pair of hand knitted sock’s especially during the winter months🧶
I'm a crochetter tooo!! I was really hate knitting, I tried to knit and I fucked up a little then hate it again. But now I really really REALLY want to wear that frog socks. Just for them I'm gonna start knitting. I'M WITH YOU NOW!!!
I knit 1.5 pairs of socks probably about 4-5 years ago (the second pair was for someone I was dating at the time, but we broke up before I finished them and I never polished it off). I found it fun at the time but didn't quite catch the groove. But recently I've thought about becoming the types of knitters that only do socks!! Not exclusively actually, but I feel like I frequently want to knit but rarely know WHAT I want to knit and socks are the perfect project for that type of thing. There's always a need for them, they're fast to make, and it's easy to come back to if I get sidetracked with a bigger project for awhile. The thing that really got me back into it was doing 2 at a time with magic loop. There's something so daunting about making a pair of something that I have to finish one at a time-- I almost never get back to the second one unless it is a gift or I'm on a time crunch. I don't know if you've tried it, but I think it's super fun and has elevated my sock game. Thanks for the video!! Really inspired by your (relatable) passion for sockmaking.
Totally agree with all your reasons for joining the hand knit sock cult:) I celebrate my sock knitting anniversary (first completed successful pair) with a super special sock yarn purchase. Also bought two new sock knitting books for my birthday, The Sock Project by Summer Lee (she also has a TH-cam channel Okay Knits), and Knit a Box of Socks by Julie Lebouthillier. Hand knit socks are my family’s favorite gifts so in January I made my list and am working my way through 17 pairs (many will be DK or Worsted weight). I like CoBaSi by HiKoo for summer shorty socks. It’s a blend of cotton/bamboo/silk/nylon that holds up and launders great! Love the Crazy Sock Lady and Earthtones Girl video sock tutorials as well.
I started out knitting, hated my experience, had so much trouble. I made one sad, terrible sock once. But then I started crochet and it’s taken over my life lol. It’s my new special interest. But now I have this confidence with fiber crafts… maybe I should try again? You might be inspiring me right now 😅
i've literally learn knitting two weeks ago but YOU CONVINCED ME. i already got two "orders" from the family (a hat and a scarf) but i'm making socks right after that!!! thx
My second knitting project ever was a pair of socks too! I learnt to knit because I wanted to make my own socks, so did a beanie first to learn the basics then immediately went to socks - the frog socks from your last video are gonna be my next project!!
I truly enjoyed your podcast! I have about 5 pairs of hand knit sock and love them as well. Getting a great fit takes a bit of time. I love all your plants❤️🪴
When I was teaching knitting, I would have my students do a sock as a first project after the basic stitching because of how much they could learn by doing it. I had them do simple ankle socks in DK weight for home slippers because they knit up fairly fast, they are easy to hide if they don't come out perfectly but they still are usually wearable even when big, they're just slippers then. And that can really help with confidence in the skills. Too many people I've talked to who learned and then put it down for years were not happy with their first project and never went back. Usually it was a neverending scarf that they didn't want to broadcast their mistakes on their neck and it took long enough to get bored with knitting. Socks are amazing first projects.
I love hand knit socks, and i have tons. I learned knitting as a kid, but my grandma was knitting ONLY socks, so everyone was supplied already (woolen winter socks for the most part). So when i started knitting seriously during my university days (cause longer break times and public transportation rides), i knit different things like winter hats, scarfs, gloves and handwarmers on the go and big sweaters and stuff at home. I used crocheting (after learning it in primary school) more for lace crochet, cardigans and tops and ctochet lace, but i made a few crochet socks for my partner when we moved together. I started knitting socks after my grandma died and my socks started to fall apart, from there i started to knit thinner socks from cotton and/or linnen with my 1mm knitting needles (takes forever but worth it). Honestly, knitted wool socks (with max. 25% synthetic for the Regia strenthening) are the best. I barely used my central heater this winter cause we were just wearing knitted socks all the time, they keep you perfectly warm. Right now i have a pair of knee long socks, a scarf and a cabled sweater on my knitting needles. On my crochet hooks i have a laundry net (for my knitted socks to be washed in the washing machine), a pair of crochet socks for my partner, a chunky cropped jumper, a tunic (with color grading very fine yarn) and a lace cardigan (the last 2 made with a 2mm hook). I still have to work on the heel of the knitted socks at home, with instructions, cause i'm trying to find the type of heel i like most and am trying out different ones. In that time, my crocheted laundry net is my 'on the go' project. I usually make one net at the same time i make a pair of socks, or right after.
I made a crochet socks and it was hard Now I have finished the heel turn side on the knitted socks and I am doing two at a time. this is a really a very exciting magic project. I plan to knit at least 3 pairs
I told my mom I was invited to join a cult. Her shocked face was so serious! “I’ve been invited to join a cult.” 😳🤨😡 “A sock cult.” 😮💨🙂😆 I then proceeded to show her your intro.
I am getting ready to make toeless socks they are great for flip-flop season and because I’m a diabetic the toes and my socks are driving me. Crazy actually painful so I decided to make these and the other reason I make socks is because I have big feet for a woman I wear an 11 men’s so I have to measure my foot in multiple places I don’t have big ankles or thick calves just really long feet, but I started in Germany when I was learning to knit making a pair of tights came from North Carolina and you just do not understand how cold it is until you move to Germany. As soon as I got my daughters tights made, I immediately went into lace socks. We went to Bavaria and everybody wore two pairs of socks with lace designs and it’s so fun remember when doing lace or color work, you can keep changing your pattern every couple of rows, so it’s a really good learning experience.
Another reason is how nice it feels to wear socks that are custom fit to your feet. Most commercial socks for adults come in two sizes: men's or ladies'. But feet are all different sizes and shapes! I have small feet but wide toes, and my hand-knit socks fit my "duck feet" perfectly. My toes are finally free to wriggle!
I am a fairly new knitter and have recently in the past. Few months have started knitting socks. After a little trial and error, I think I finally got it!! as of right now I am only needing a basic vanilla sock but I’m still excited about it because the type of yarn and color of yarn makes even the basic vanilla sock exciting to knit! I love watching the sock come together I love watching the colors play off of each other and I just love everything about knitting socks. But I always wonder if I could consider myself a knitter if the only thing that I ever knit is socks? 🤔😀 I have a knitted sweater currently on the needles and all I have to do is that one sleeve but I am so burnt out from the time and effort it took me to make this sweater that I don’t even wanna go back to it right now but socks, nice, easy, portable. I love everything that you’ve said about them. !! ❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve been knitting about 10?years and finally just made my first couple pairs of socks. Definitely a great little project for taking to appointments or for travel
You’ve convinced me!! I have the coldest feet and it’d be so comforting to make myself an adorable and warm pair of socks. Also, my sisters love socks, and I think it’d make great gifts for them! And everyone else! :)
I knit toe up with afterthought heel, which means I can work out how wide they need to be with any yarn, use bits of yarn up for toes, heels and cuff. :)
I just discovered your channel. I also started with crochet and sewing. I found knitting way later in life. Then I discovered spinning yarn and weaving. I have fallen down all the rabbit holes as well. Socks are so portable. I love portable projects and sock construction is so interesting.
Socks were some of my earliest projects. I agree that they are great for beginners. I'm allergic to wool and that is probably the biggest challenge I have with socks. The other is I get bored if I only do socks but it's ok because I crochet and enjoy knitting other things.
I've tried knitting socks a few times and I always got stuck on the heel turn, ended up with holes etc so it really just makes me feel like a failed magician q___q but I think I'm nearly ready to try again, so thanks for putting all of the good reasons together and the pep talk!
It’s so funny, I never had an interest in making socks. I’m finishing my first cardigan and it’s taken me TWO MONTHS because of the lacework. I’m ready for a quick project 😅
My first completed project after trying and failing to make a scarf (boringgg) was a pair of socks to give to my mom for Christmas. My favorite part about making socks is probably that I can take my project to class and nobody really bats an eye. I'm still in high school so teachers still care about what I'm doing, but knitting as a way to keep my hands busy is acceptable to most of them as long as I still take notes
Lol I’m currently reinforcing my socks because I’ve been wearing them so much (plus some likely don’t have enough nylon - my grandmother who also knits socks gave me some mystery wool) and want to keep wearing them. Your video made me get out of my cozy bed and go to my library/office/favorite knit spot and grab a pair because cozy feet sounded lovely!
I started knitting for many reasons, but one of them was because I wanted to knit socks so badly. Socks are sooo cool and soo adorable, I had to learn it. I guess I lucked out that I wasn't aware of exactly how hard it was. But it didn't bother me. I just took one step at a time and used the knitting equipment that worked for me so the whole process wasn't so overwhelming...meaning I used a circular needle first and then moved on to DPNS.
YESSSSSS this is so right hahaha. I’ve been knitting for about ten years, knit my first pair of socks a couple years ago and was so intimidated. It’s been my goal this year to become a sock knitter!!!
Only half way through the video and I am sold. I've been working on my knit shorts for twenty days now (though I got an eye allergy (unrelated) and had to put knitting down for a while.)
I also love knitting socks for all of those reasons! Hand knit Socks rock! Wait, I just thought of reason number 11 - when the apocolypse comes and there are no more Targets or Walmarts .......we will have socks!
I already knit socks (after being too intimidated by them for like a decade lol) but I just love watching people be excited about socks! They’re kinda my “don’t know what to knit rn so I’ll just grab my socks” mindless type project
8:47 Lol I live in a desert (SW US) and wear them all year. Wool is a fantastic thermo-regulator and unless the socks are in direct sunlight for a while (which is unlikely given the presence of shoes) they remain perfectly comfortable. 😍 I have yet to have a pair of socks made of wool/wool blends get too hot, and I’ve worn them on 100+ degree days.

Do you call them “sock walks”?
How do you manage the yarn?
I've been knitting socks for many years, but if I had not, this episode would convince me to do it all over again 😊 love your enthusiasm. Also your froggy socks are so cute!
Aw thank you so much!!!
Maybe I don't actually mind it 🤣
Also, 400 patterns!!?!?!
My grown kids and I ONLY wear hand knit socks now ❤ 🧦
I now know I need froggy socks in my life. 😻
Thank you so much about that. I will check your pattern !
Wool is naturally moisture wicking and will actually keep your feet feeling nice in the summer. It will pull the sweat away from your feet and use that moisture to keep your feet cool.
Your description sounds so nice and yet so nasty. 🤢😅🤣
I’m convinced. I’ve gotten tired of making beanies and I’ve been scared of socks but you’ve given me the push to start
Yess!! You need to give them a try!!
The first thing I ever knitted was a pair of socks! I was a strict crocheter as well. It taught me so much learning socks first and I stand by my choice. Everything else came a lot easier for me because of it. Even though everyone told me I was crazy and I wouldn't be able to do it
Yes!!!!! I love this!!!
Lmfao I LOVE you knitting at the salon!!! So happy to have joined your cult🧦
Haha - a sock cult, it is calling to me. Did anyone count how many times she said sock in that video ? ❤😂 so funny.
When i was editing, I almost put a counter for every time i said “sock” 😂
I love your froggy socks❤. I’m 58 yo and living in the Perth Hills in Western Australia but your approach is so fresh! Your finishing is excellent so I’m guessing you’re a real craftsperson. Glad you turned up on my feed. PS I totally agree with everything you say about socks. I love knitting them and gifting them too. You go girl!❤❤
Thank you so much!! You are so sweet! Glad you’re here :) ♥️
I think I love them mostly cause I can use one skein and be done lol it’s so nice to be able to use up my impulse buys lol
YES!! Let’s do it!!!!!
@@nataliebeau
You might be inspiring me right now 😅
Yes!! Try it again!
I love turning a heel so much!
i've been looking at sock patterns to get back into knitting, this is exactly the push i needed thank you!
i've literally learn knitting two weeks ago but YOU CONVINCED ME. i already got two "orders" from the family (a hat and a scarf) but i'm making socks right after that!!! thx
Ahhh yay!!! I’m so glad!!!
My second knitting project ever was a pair of socks too! I learnt to knit because I wanted to make my own socks, so did a beanie first to learn the basics then immediately went to socks - the frog socks from your last video are gonna be my next project!!
Yes!!!! They are such a fun make! Happy knitting! 💚🐸
Your joy and excitement is definitely infectious, i think a pair of socks will need to be my next project. Thank you for the motivation!
You are too sweet!!! Happy sock knitting! 😋
Never seen anyone else that started in strictly crochet. I think you’ve convinced me to start knitting :)
Yesss!!!!!!
I have started and frogged a sock at least ten times now on dpns. Recently I learned about doing socks on circs and I am so excited to learn that way.
So happy to find another person who’s caught the bug!!! Hand on it socks are the only good cult 😂
Hahahaha yes! A cult I can stand behind 😂
Or a cult you can stand in… 😜
Yes Yes and Yes!!....exactly!...its so true!...Socks are exciting!...love u!....❤❤❤❤.
I just finished my first sock and it was also the second thing I’ve ever knit! Such a confidence booster, I recommend them to everyone now 😅
Socks gave me SO much confidence in my knitting! Such a game changer!
I truly enjoyed your podcast! I have about 5 pairs of hand knit sock and love them as well. Getting a great fit takes a bit of time. I love all your plants❤️🪴
I love making socks. I do toe up two at a time so I don’t have lonely socks.
Watching this while knitting my first pair of socks! It's my second project as well- Wish me luck 😊
The sock cult!!. I love it.
I started knitting my first sock because of this video, it’s pretty fun!
Yay!!! It is the best!!
The amount of times I have knitted a cuff and even done the heel!!! But never have I FINISHED 😂
That’s amazing!!! Thank you for sharing! I love hearing everyone’s story 😊😊
I made a crochet socks and it was hard
Now I have finished the heel turn side on the knitted socks and I am doing two at a time. this is a really a very exciting magic project. I plan to knit at least 3 pairs
I told my mom I was invited to join a cult. Her shocked face was so serious!
“I’ve been invited to join a cult.”
😳🤨😡
“A sock cult.”
😮💨🙂😆
I then proceeded to show her your intro.
HAHAHAHAHA I love this 🤣
I am getting ready to make toeless socks they are great for flip-flop season and because I’m a diabetic the toes and my socks are driving me.
Alright I’m in. Now I’ve just got to learn how to knit.
Yes!!! I didn’t think about that but you’re so right!
I have a similar journey! I'm on my fourth pair of socks!
I have a knitted sweater currently on the needles and all I have to do is that one sleeve but I am so burnt out from the time and effort it took me to make this sweater that I don’t even wanna go back to it right now but socks, nice, easy, portable. I love everything that you’ve said about them. !! ❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve been knitting about 10?years and finally just made my first couple pairs of socks. Definitely a great little project for taking to appointments or for travel
So true! I crochet socks and will create an outfit around my socks😆 I love making socks!
Yes!!! 💚😋
Love your 10 reasons, especially the sections theory. Cotton socks are great for cool summer evenings!
I'm knitting my second sweater ever. I had to frog it at some point, and I was terrified! But I did it. Proud moment for me
I totally agree, socks were my first wearable project after dish cloths! Freaking love your froggy socks, they're on my list now
Yes!!!! They are so much fun!
My second knitting project ever was also socks!! My first was a set of two gnomes....
Wonderful video. Great content. I like that the music in the background is not overwhelming.
I definitely want to make the froggy socks.
I just discovered your channel. I also started with crochet and sewing. I found knitting way later in life. Then I discovered spinning yarn and weaving. I have fallen down all the rabbit holes as well. Socks are so portable. I love portable projects and sock construction is so interesting.
That is awesome!!! SO glad you are here :)
Sounds good! I've only made one pair a few years ago, but I'll have to make some more!
Socks were some of my earliest projects. I agree that they are great for beginners. I'm allergic to wool and that is probably the biggest challenge I have with socks. The other is I get bored if I only do socks but it's ok because I crochet and enjoy knitting other things.
That would be tricky being allergic! Thankfully they seem to be coming up with a lot of wool alternatives!
I've tried knitting socks a few times and I always got stuck on the heel turn, ended up with holes etc so it really just makes me feel like a failed magician q___q but I think I'm nearly ready to try again, so thanks for putting all of the good reasons together and the pep talk!
currently stuck on sweater leeve island (finally last sleeve) and you best believe my next project will be a sock one!
Yes!!! I am a teacher, and I don’t mind if my students crochet/knit as long as they’re staying on task!
delightful video and excellent reasons to start knitting socks! I think the same applies for creating amigurumi :)
Lol I’m currently reinforcing my socks because I’ve been wearing them so much (plus some likely don’t have enough nylon - my grandmother who also knits socks gave me some mystery wool) and want to keep wearing them.
Your video made me get out of my cozy bed and go to my library/office/favorite knit spot and grab a pair because cozy feet sounded lovely!
i need to stash bust so i might have to try knitting a pair of socks for the first time !!
I've been working on my knit shorts for twenty days now (though I got an eye allergy (unrelated) and had to put knitting down for a while.)
as a crochet gal who wants to knit, you inspire me!!!!
I also love knitting socks for all of those reasons! Hand knit Socks rock! Wait, I just thought of reason number 11 - when the apocolypse comes and there are no more Targets or Walmarts .......we will have socks!
😂😂
I already knit socks (after being too intimidated by them for like a decade lol) but I just love watching people be excited about socks! They’re kinda my “don’t know what to knit rn so I’ll just grab my socks” mindless type project
Hehehehe yes!!! 😊
I agree! Heel down socks on magic loop was my first ever knitting project and I felt like it taught me so much and the skills are transferrable
Yes!!!
8:47 Lol I live in a desert (SW US) and wear them all year. Wool is a fantastic thermo-regulator and unless the socks are in direct sunlight for a while (which is unlikely given the presence of shoes) they remain perfectly comfortable. 😍
I have yet to have a pair of socks made of wool/wool blends get too hot, and I’ve worn them on 100+ degree days.
That’s good to know!
Wool socks breath, so they are cooler than even cotton! I wear mine all year.
what a great explanation,,, That is exactly how I feel about knitting socks.. gives me such pleasure.
I cant knit but your vibes are so cool and i appreciate it
My second project was also socks! A small project that I use every day!
I love your space and you energy, thanks for your video, keep them coming!
You are too kind! Thank you so much!
