    I've got mine all in using a harness. Probably the easiest one I've ever done. The issue I'm having is "no bus" is displayed in the odometer. After watching this video, I assume it has something to do with that violet/yellow wire for steering wheel controls.
    Great video

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally it's not related to the radio, no bus can be caused by a various number of reasons, sometimes the cluster harness is loose, low voltage, dying battery, crank sensor going bad, etc.

    I just bought an 04 liberty and tried installing an aftermarket stereo. Everything went well until i tried power and had none. I decided maybe it was the new stereo. I reinstalled the oem and it also does not work anymore. No volume control on this one. I also checked fuse on the inside fuse box and it is ok.

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use a multi meter and make sure you are getting constant 12v, switched 12v on the accessory wire and a decent ground. If one of those three is incorrect, the radio will not turn on.

    Hope you can help! I didn't get the steering wheel control module and installed exactly as shown and no sound. Thinking the wiring harness is bad I
    Tried another one. Same results. I spliced a set of speaker wires and hooked up a speaker from the house directly to the wires from the radio and it worked. Hooking up the old radio there is sound. The new radio wiring harness didn't have a blue wire but the adapter harness does. I'm at my wits end! Any thoughts?

    I have an 06 with the Infinity system that I was originally just going to replace the factory stereo with an aftermarket one. I read on Crutchfield that if I plan on bypassing the factory amplifiers, I should either replace the factory low-impedance speakers with aftermarket 4-ohmn speakers or add an aftermarket amplifier to prevent the new stereo from overheating. I only stream music so I hardly use my sound system at the moment. I was wondering if you think it would be worth it or not for me to bypass my factory amplifiers?
    Thanks,

    I bought the ASWC-1 kit for my 05 Liberty when I put a single din Sony deck in it. Checked the wires more than once, and the steering wheel controls did nothing. I lived with it like that until I got a Pioneer double din Nav unit. Hooked it up per instructions, the steering wheel controls still did not work. But the weird thing is when I would start the car and the radio was on AM, it would automatically change to FM and the volume would go down. WTF??? So, I just pulled the adapter out and everything is fine, except no steering wheel controls.

    • @ProvoBeastAudio

      It's tricky as the speakers themselves generally have the amplifier built onto the magnet of the front speakers themselves. The tweeter and rear door speaker tie into them too. Unfortunately we don't have a video on it here on the channel, sorry!

    • @ProvoBeastAudio

      We sure have, but requires a bit of wiring. Both front speakers have a built in amplifier and the tweeter and rear speakers also connect into that amp. So when you replace the speaker / remove the amp, you will need to ensure you tie in those channels to the new radio.

      Provo Beast Audio Installation Yeah it’s definitely a 2005, I checked the sticker on the door. It’s a 4x4 model but I don’t know if that makes any difference.

    If you have 6 speakers in a 2007 sport, does it have an amp?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it does have an amp, they are actually mounted on the front door speaker magnets.

    how does one tell if it has the infinity system or not?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will see the Infinity Logo generally on the speaker grills around the car. However, the wiring harness shouldn't change if you have it or not.

    • @MCatwar
      @MCatwar 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just installed the head unit, same wiring exactly as you had it set up - I used wire nuts instead, however, and a different pioneer head unit. However, the friend who I installed it for claims that it's not playing sound out of the drivers' side. I'm not sure what could be wrong. The only real wiring jobs I've done are home audio, so this shouldn't be *too* different; I'm guessing it could be the wire nuts not being fully compatible with the wiring, an issue with the factory amp, or a ground. I'll mess with the fader just in case it's that. But if it's not, I wanna try everything I can before I have to pull the head unit back out again and re-wire it. Did you have this problem, or have you had it before? I'm new to this and, while installing it on this car took 10 minutes, I'm a bit concerned that I did something wrong as it seemed *too* easy. Suggestions?

    • @MCatwar
      @MCatwar 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, I bought the exact same adapters as this. However, I color matched, and didn't label match. I knew after watching this video it was fine, but to my knowledge, these color wires are the speakers, correct? if that's the case, the factory stripped wires on the pioneer wiring was much longer than the ones I made on the wiring harness adapter; it could just be a bad circuit, and paired with the wire nuts and the vibrations of the car, it could cause it to not be *quite* enough. My friend also said it randomly comes on and back off, which leads me to think that it's just a poor connection.

    • @ProvoBeastAudio

      Do not use wire nuts in a car audio platform. Soldier or use the crimp method.
