Worked Great!!! Thanks a bunch. My 2002 jeep liberty limited stereo has been cutting out ever bump I hit. Turns out it was a loose connection in back of stereo where the wiring harness plugs in. Been like that for years. Now it plays Great. Thanks again
Question answered... smaller grey connector is for redundant steering wheel controls. Thank you... I am glad you indicated functions of both receiver ports. 🎯
Very helpful thank you! Do you know how to remove the code asking transistor, so that the radio will never need a code anymore every time when the battery ‘s been detached? Thank you
Is there a cooling fan in the stereo system? I hear a clicking sound coming from the dash and I was told it was a fan hitting something and not to worry. It drives me nuts.
I hooked up a high end Pioneer deck using the fool proof harness and I get a high pitch distortion when I turn it up... Non Infinity. I disconnected the left door speaker and the noise stopped. I ran a wire from the deck to the left door speaker and it works fine. Why is this? Supposedly only Infinity uses external amplifiers.
Hey if my car has no steering wheel controls why would the 10 pin connector be occupied? I disconnected it to see if something stops working but it seems like everything works fine.
NOT on a 2002 Liberty......(and, probably others)??? The 4 screws at the outer perimeter hold in mounting clips; the upper 2 screw tabs of which are captured BEHIND the dash moulding.... it bends the crap out of those clips if you do it the way the video shows... The 4 screws at the INNER perimeter are the correct ones to remove....then you can remove the outer screws/mounting-clips afterwards, if you need to; which we didn't need to. The Metra DIN adapter we used mounts to the inner screws set.
Great video, so I did this, put the new radio in and I couldn't hear through the speakers so I put the original radio back in and now the original radio doesn't come on at all and my key fobs aren't working unless the car is on. Any suggestions???

My jeep doesn't have steering wheel controls but the connector is still occupied?
Does this have an auxiliary input on the back of the stereo
no, no stock radio that I know of has aux on the back.
I believe the limited version comes with it as well as volume control but don't quote me on that.

it's a 6 disc cd changer do all the cds go in stereo or do they have a separate box
The one shown in this video is an IN DASH 6 Disc changer.

it sounds like you may have pulled some of the wires loose in the connector when taking it off maybe
I found out that the fuse went. Now for some reason when I put a new radio in the speaker doesn't work.
+Shanelle Gorham that's cool, least a fuse is a easy fix! which speaker is it that isn't working?
+Alex Dernst Any of them. I may take it to a person to look at it because it could be the radios I used, they were cheap ones.
+Shanelle Gorham yeah just have a professional install it
My jeep has no steering wheel control yet the radio has the plug for it. Weird
This is the fucking dude from that movie FALLING DOWN!
2006 btw
If you’re gonna do it half assed save your video!!
