    Great explanation! Would be awesome a video about how you organize your stock files (photos and videos) in your hard drives!

      Ok, thanks for the idea. I had that in mind some time back, but never filmed that :)

    Great work Luka! When you show your sales graphs in the videos is that just from ESP or some other app/site? Hope you’re having a blast in Huston and come back to Japan soon. Thanks!

      Hey, I am using Stock Performer to track my sales and for those graphs, but also you can check new DeepMeta. Yeah, for Houston, it was really great. Yeah, I love Japan, I will be back some day :)

    Hello Luka. Good explanation. I just wanted to add an extra info for those who use cameras which do not record gyro data. Assuming that they use Davinci's stabilization they have to thick "render timeline effects" on 24:37. This is valid for every situation if any effect is used in edit page. I am struggling about project settings for stock video. I have a question about that. What color / gamma tag do you use for output in project settings? I am using mac too. Rec709 gamma 2.4 or Rec709-A. ?

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, thanks for that!
      Well, I am using Rec709-A for my output color space. Don't ask me why, haha, I found that on TH-cam, when I had washed out colors on my youtube videos, so I tried that with a few other settings (11:48), and now when I upload it is the same as in Davinci. And I just use the same settings for my stock videos :)

      @@LukaAzman I missed that part 11:48 very sorry.Yes you are explaining very well. Color profile HD (1-1-1) is the only way to present the videos on browsers (on istock or on youtube) with the intended gamma and colors, and Rec709-A is the only way to get (HD (1-1-1) with davinci. Other settings change the color profile to HD (1-2-1). The problem with Rec709-A on the other hand, is that the client cannot edit the video with Premiere Pro with color management option on. The video looks dark in edit. And we dont know and we dont choose what software the client uses. Premiere pro does not have a Rec709-A color tag for output. It outputs Rec709 and gamma 2.4 by default. The result is HD (1-1-1) and colors are ok for browsers (youtube) and for any edit software. But this time on quicktime player shows it with wrong gamma 1.96 (washed out). and mac users use quicktime player generally. I wish Windows and MacOS could agree on a standard. You need to choose rec709-A with Davinci, otherwise your videos look washed out even on istockphoto site. Complicated. Sorry for the confusion I created.

    Hy Luka. Great workflow! When you shoot at 50 fps you use 1/100 shutterspeed or you crank up like 1/200 or whatever? I read some opinion about Catalyst Prepare giving best results in stabilization with higher shutterspeed, but then would not the footage be useless for stock? I guess you need to stick to shutter doubling the fps. Thanks!

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, when I am shooting handheld, I usually shoot with ss around 1/160.
      Well, if there is not a lot of movement, nobody will notice that it was shot with higher shutter speed.
      But if I shoot with a gimbal, I stick to double the frame rate.

    Hi. Great tutorial for editing footage for stock. anyway what camera do you use? and what the setting. i just want to start making stock video. Thank you

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! I use Sony a7s3 for video, and I shot in PP8 profile (S-log3.Cine). And I usually shoot in 50fps, so I can slow the footage down. Most of the time with aperture 2.8, and if I shoot handheld, I use a shutter speed around 1/160s, because of the stabilization software. If I shoot with a gombal, then I use 1/100s.

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It doesn’t really matter. But some Windows computers will handle some files easier than others. I think mp4 will be better for windows if I am correct

    If we don't have "middle click" on our macs, how do we duplicate the color grade between clips

    • @LukaAzman
      @LukaAzman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On color page, you can right-click on your graded file, and select "grab still". And there will be still created in "Gallery" section. Then you move to ungraded clip, right click on the thumbnail in the gallery and select "apply grade". This is what I did before I find this middle button shortcut :)
