Meant to say this in the video, but if you use the powergrade and love it, please feel free to tag me on social so I can reshare. Would love to see what you do with it! FILM DEPTH POWERGRADE - bit.ly/FilmDepth NOTES: Mislabed some Red footage in the intro as LogC3, and the HLG transform was incorrect. CST doesn't have exact ins and outs, but I would do In Sony S Gamut, Rec 2100 HLG, and Out Song S Log 3
I gotta be honest, i never buy these packs and I bought this pack 23 seconds into your video (I know because i bought it earlier this morning and when i came back to this video it was at 00:23) It's exactly what i've been looking for, it looks great out of the gate, and so far is the best film look i've tried so far. Thanks!
ah, that makes me so happy! Thank you for sharing this. And feel free to tag me on IG if you want anything reshared that's graded with FD. Love to see how it's looking for folks and what they come up with.
Bought it to support, love your videos and have learned a lot from them. I don't have a Sony camera anymore but will test with my Olympus and BMPCC Og cameras.
Any way to have the luts connected everytime I use the power grade it says “missing luts” I don’t want to be manually linking back the luts everytime I use the power grade personally. Any solution to this? Thank you!
@@Ishallahh ah, man. Sorry to hear that's happening. It shouldn't be. Um, I would say apply the PowerGrade to a clip, connect the LUTs, grab a still, right click the still and export a new PowerGrade. That exported one should be connected. Curious, did you import the entire film depth folder into your DaVinci resolve LUt folder?
@@ScottJeschke i’ll check it out as soon as I get home. Thank you for the feedback, I just dragged the LUT folders to the davinci LUT folder where you usually install all of them As for the power grade I right click “imported” both of them. I’ll uninstall everything and re-install using only DRX to see if it fixes the issue.
@Ishallahh ah, gotcha. Yeah, that's the issue. Copy the entire power grade folder to that out folder and import DRX and you should be good to go. But let me know 🙏👊
@@ScottJeschke I tried again and failed once again Here is my installation process just in case i’m missing something: Drag the two LUT folders into the Davinci resolve LUT folder list where you usually install LUTS 2. Click on “import” where you usually import power grades, I made an extra section named “Power grade 3” just in case. From there imported “FILM DEPTH POWERGRADE 1.0.drx” Close and open DR but still get the same error for some reason The power grade is applied but when I apply it, it says “multiple LUTs missing”
The primary reason is that my own cameras are Sony, so it was the most realistic way for me to stress test the LUTs with color charts and across as many variable scenarios as possible. The secondary reason is that my audience i think are by-and-large more in the pro-sumer camp, where Sony is simply more accessible. I do hope to create an expanded version down the line with more camera options though. But I did want to let more time pass me by without releasing this. There seemed to be a lot of interest
@@ScottJeschke No issues yeah but please do make the dwg version so that we will be able to incorporate the powergrade or a piece of it into own developed workflows, do comparisons and what not.
@@Unpublishedcritic the color aspects (ie LUTs) should work with the lite version, but the attribute nodes won't unfortunately. ie grain, halation, flicker, bloom etc

the color grade and luts would, but none of the film attributes will unfortunately

only works with Resolve?
