Doctor Who Blender Animation | Dalek City Diorama

- Here is my animation of my new Dalek City diorama model. Wanted to try something a little different to my normal projects.
This scene was made in Blender 3.0 and was textured in Substance Painter. It was rendered in the Cycles X Render Engine.

Love the metallic look kinda feels like a mix of the 60s and the set from season 9 of the new series
Reminds me of this Dalek strategy game I had in mind... never found a way to pitch it tho.
Wonderfully captures the look and feel of those older sets and the grainy film while still being visually clean and pretty!

This is quite literally a beautiful piece of ART!!! I absolutely love this. I just keep watching it over and over…I think I may get one of those ePicture Frames or whatever, or make one out of an old phone or iPad, and put this on continuous loop! It’s phenomenally good!!!
Love love love it!!! This is the REAL Dr Who.
Daleks only make sense if we go super simple. They are like insects: simple, crude, but they win because they are so unlimited and relentless.
Same goes for the animation on the screen. That is the REAL Dr Who. The early animation was like an instrument struggling to detect a signal on the very limits of detectability: the Doctor should always be on the very limits of knowledge. (After all, it was created as an educational series.)
Modern Who, with its super-advanced Daleks, and Doctor who can do anything, does not stand up to examination. But this old school Doctor grabs me and pulls me in (and outward!). More! More!

This is so awesome!! I love so many things here, so much cool stuff from some of the best 60s Dalek Episodes. Like how the Daleks used to have the Doctor Who opening playing on their screens lol, please make more like this, if you add in Mechanoids it will be perfect
Thanks! And yes, I will be doing more of these, at least one for each Dalek story. And as for the Mechonoids, expect plenty of content with those within the next couple of months... 😁

the hemis are slightly too far apart on the rear panel. they should follow the panel edge but be futher in. fantastic work 😉
