I always hear this because my gamepad has a f***ed up L shoulder button that requires a few tries before something registers.
Mine has the same issue but luckily it also has back paddles that i set to act as the shoulder buttons
you can rebind both buttons to maybe left and right on the dpad since during QTE the buttons used for switching between the two of them are only available to be pressed
I hear it from Ellen and Anton a lot just simply because I don't wanna swap characters. Ellen is so fun and Anton has so much Studio Trigger energy that I'd be fine playing just him lol

Idk if you're on Xbox controller like me but I always have this same issue and what fixes it for me is pushing down the trigger and blowing into the gap under the bumper (yes I know it sounds stupid but I swear it works)

They also tell you to dodge sometimes, something along the lines of "Dodge now!". Not sure what the actual trigger is, one of them was when I was attacked from behind with projectiles
You usually hear it if it's a projectile attack, or an attack coming from off-screen/behind you. It's been that way for me, at least
my personal favorite it's when you're getting attacked from behind with Anton and he says "Sneak attack? Not cool!" lmao

Whenever I use Billy,he'd occasionally say something along the lines of "Look out!" or was it "Behind you!".
Not sure which one it was but he definitely gives us a signal whenever an attack would hit from behind
Why people say combat and parrying in this game is bad??? Can you not hear the CLANG sound ? Satisfying af, plus slow motion with flashiness, man i absolutely love this. People need to get out of streamers asses and enjoy game for themselves
People compare it with wuthering waves which is definitely more skill based and in terms of combat, bosses have much more difficult attacks and parrying requires more skill and timing than just switching when you see a flash. Although the combat generally feels smoother and more satisfying, people think its very casual focussed.
@@myfault.5735 yeah ngl wuthering waves had that that soulslike feels with no flash indicator in enemies attack but everything is a lot faster than soulslike
I think its more an "game genre misunderstood" issue than a "this game misunderstood" issue. Kingdom hearts and dmc get "style over substance" pinned on them pretty often even when theyre even more in depth than this game.
Besides that, pretty sure the parry timings in this reflect the beidou "1/3rd second" timings(as opposed to smaller/stilted block timings you see in PC/console that can range from a tenth of a second to frame counts) to compensate for mobile, so parrying feels a bit weak even if the sound and visual design is top tier as it can happen quite often/doesnt factor in positioning/gets even stronger with slower attack animations(and is probably why they had to give the parry a use limit as its pretty OP as is to throw out ultimates like that).

It’s not even complicated or hard to begin with
It's fine for the most part as it is satisfying, however parrying shouldn't be limited (imho) and for example in WuWa you can parry at any point with any attack as long as your hitbox meets theirs. In ZZZ you can parry at any point they glow yellow however you have to use a switch parry to do so, which is fine but what if you want to stick to one character only? You're forced to switch, another example is parrying in any souls like game is just a touch of the button which puts them in a state to visceral attack. I've had times when I ran out of counts to parry which made me just dodge which again is fine. Having a parry on a normal attack to me just feels more natural but it may not be for others.
I love how Ellen doesn't say "You daydreaming?" implying you're not paying attention. She says "You daydreaming too?" Implying SHE'S not paying attention. 😂

I somehow almost always preemptively guess when the break is gonna happen so I hit it the millisecond it pops up. My finger just does it without listening to my brain, I just need to see the little pictures and it clicks.
Although at first I found the constant switching annoying because I didn't understand the flow of the game so I tried to find the non existent cancel button...

Ngl, this has helped me dodge a few off-screen attacks sometimes.
Is there anyway to set camera distance to get a better view of battle areas? Those warnings did help a little but reacting to warnings blindly is definitely a new experience. For me at least.
not me being berated for not swapping out during Ellen's 2-part skill to put in an unbuilt character because i want to get that extra part in for big damage.
if your character is doing an action, they will finish said action before leaving
@@XenoWars the issue with that is Ellen’s second part of her skill requires you to hit the skill button again and too often the chain attack prompt happens during the first part of the skill, so it’s either skip the chain attack or lose that extra aoe damage.

It’s more like a reminder to choose your sequence of coordinated attacks quickly and wisely. I appreciate this mechanic a lot when I play on the iPad and I can slow down and pick exactly who I want to go next.

Sometimes I'd wait out the chain attacks purposefully just so I can hear what they'll say.
It's surprisingly fun(for me,at least).
I especially love how it can also be considered as them indirectly talking to us,the players.
It's a great way to keep the players focused and prevent them from failing the chain attack due to us(the players)taking too long on deciding who to continue the chain attack.
Hence Why when the timer is about to end,they'll tell us to act now or even yell at us to be hasty about it.
I also love the variety that each character has.
It can range from them being nervous like how Corrin stuttered "Q-Quickly!",
to them being supportive like Anby saying "It's up to you",
or even them telling us to keep our head in the game like Billy saying "Stay focused!",
and last but not least,they would even start raising their voice because they want you to ACT NOW like Anton saying "Get moving!/Hey Hey Hey"

Another small detail to add to the list between Anby and S11. Both say “Time to act”. Considering this is happening ‘in combat’ anything said can be considered to be intrinsic meaning they both either hear/think it often enough. There’s was a vid essay about the two forgot the channel think the video was called something like “How Anby and Solider 11 are related”
