      I find these videos very helpful, but I want to be a chef in the navy and had an interview over the phone last week and moved on to the next stage of my application process. I would appreciate it if you can give me and tips or even make a video for people who want to be a part of the catering service In the Royal Navy.

      Do you have anywhere I can get info about getting a sponsorship of some kind? I’m not too knowledgeable when it comes to application process and how I can actually get into the RN as an officer, and I’m slightly confused as I have not found many online resources, any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

    How important is knowing the history of the Navy as well as the specific assets the Navy has (E.g. specific vessels, specific bases) for the interview? Thanks in advance for any answers.

      Hi, yes I think it's important. The more you know about the Navy, the better. Learn about ships, weapons and aircraft. There's a good RN quiz on this page to help you: www.how2become.com/blog/royal-navy-ships-a-recruitment-study-guide/

    Leadership and management are actually the same thing.

    • @CareerVidz
      @CareerVidz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, they are not the same. There is a difference between leadership and management. You need both to succeed: th-cam.com/video/YNGO1GWnbm4/w-d-xo.html

      CareerVidz Good managers and good management includes leadership, surely? And on another point, why don’t you think that the army or Air Force have high standards (which is implicit from the specimen answer you suggest about why someone chooses the RN over the other services?)

      Hoho Hoho With regards to your comments on management/leadership, management refers more specifically to how an individual allocates assets/personnel to achieve a task or result, where as leadership refers to an individuals ability to inspire, motivate and most importantly influence an their subordinates to buy into the leaders goal/ambition. A lot of managers are good at allocating assets and people to tasks, however fall short at effectively influencing their team members to by into their vision.
