    I have the same juicer...I use the slower setting...not as loud and I think it’s more beneficial to juice on a slower setting....plus you shouldn’t stir it...air destroys the compounds..I actually juice into the glass I’m going to drink it from. Thank you Gina for showing the benefits from Juicing ...it’s always worked for me...

    Very nice 😃👍. I have a centrifugal. I’m getting a horizontal masticating juicer for leafy greens though. And maybe an upright masticating for citrus and other soft fruits.

    OMG I love your dog, and so would my dog, who is about 10 lbs (a Peke) but thinks she's Northern Dancer. For years and years I juiced apple carrot celery and a bit of ginger before swimming in my neighbourhood and going to work. Beets weren't in the mix; didn't know better but there is so much evidence that beet juice is way more powerful than the beet itself (I take in a lot of fiber, so it won't be missed because of one juice per day)> Loved your great video.

    I had a Breville juicer just like that but louder, drove me ( and my neighbours) mad.
    It blew up last year after 3 months of daily use :)
    Now I have a slow juice it was 4 or 5 times the price of the Breville but the juice is a much better quality.
    It is also very quiet but it is not the best for extracting wheat grass or kale.
    Thanks for the useful pleasant video :)

    • @GinaLovesOilsandMore
      @GinaLovesOilsandMore  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So, I'm thinking that method would be possible, but messy! Also, by adding water, it would definitely dilute the potentcy of the juice. However, I am always a fan of using what you have and being creative. But, if you could get your hands on a juicer, I think you'd be delighted.

      1cleandude It’s never been a problem for me! I’ve only seen wellness improvements, no negative side effects. For sure, a healthy lifestyle is way more than a glass of fresh pressed juice and does encompasses everything that goes into your mind, body and soul. I def advocate listening to your body’s feedback and adjusting consumption of all things based on that communication.

    I would not do juicing though, all that fibers you thew way are good for you! In fact, part of the benefits of these veggies contain fibers. Now juicing removes its benefit :(

    • @GinaLovesOilsandMore
      @GinaLovesOilsandMore  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I do love juicing, but I understand your concern. You can always bake with the fiber or even compost. It's so true, it's best not to waste.

    ............spinach, and , beets contain high oxalates crystals that damage your kidneys and brain ! and builds up in your joints....High-oxalate foods to limit, if you eat them, are:
    Spinach.
    Bran flakes.
    Rhubarb.
    Beets.
    Potato chips.
    French fries.
    all Nuts and nut butters...if you have kidneys stones avoid oxalates foods like nuts and avoid , calcium supplements spices like Turmeric are very high in oxalates .
    Lists of foods high in oxalic acid vary greatly from source to source. The body is known to absorb oxalic acid from only a handful of foods, according to the University of British Columbia, including peanuts, pecans, wheat bran, spinach, rhubarb, beets and beet greens and chocolate.
    4. Drink the right amount of fluids every day.
    It is very important to drink plenty of liquids. Your goal should be 10-12 glasses a day. At least 5-6 glasses should be water. You may also want to consider drinking lemonade. Research suggests that lemonade may be helpful in reducing the risk of calcium oxalate stone formation.
    5. Eat the right amount of protein daily.
    Eating large amounts of protein may increase the risk of kidney stone formation. Your daily protein needs can usually be met with 2-3 servings a day, or 4 to 6 ounces. Eating more than this if you are at risk at kidney stones is unnecessary.
    6. Reduce the amount of "" sodium "" in your diet.
    Reduce the amount of sodium in your diet to 2-3 grams per day. Limit eating processed foods such as hot dogs, deli meats, sausage, canned products, dry soup mixes, sauerkraut, pickles, and various convenience mixes.
