He could've gone to far harbor and got the staggering ripper there where it just freezes the enemy in place locking them staggering since every time you hit the creature or person it has around 33% chance to stager so since the ripper is so fast it just locks them if you keep attacking rendering them useless
I once had a ripper with the poison legendary which meant I was adding like 20 points of poison damage every hit. Was hella broken even with me not using a melee build.
I've made just about all the legendary modifications; Mods are fun; and my favorite is still an Irradiated Flamer. Outside of Ghouls, radiation is pretty effective in killing most things.
I was gonna ask if it would work on that version. Also, if you can put mods on weapons they don't belong on, could you put the MIRV launcher on the Far Harbour Ripper? (yes, I realize that would be effectively useless because using it on an enemy would instantly kill you)
The legendary effect “wounding” causes targets to bleed. Amazing on ripper and shotguns because each pellet/beam counts as its own hit so if you hit with 10 things and each one does 25 bleed damage... Remember laser rifles can become automatic shotguns ;)
The first legendary Ripper I ever found was a Continuous Ripper which makes each continuous hit do more damage than the last. Which you can imagine how OP this was, Glorious!
The best Ripper in the game is The Harvester (or any ripper with Staggering effect). The Staggering effect has a chance to stagger on hit. Since the Ripper is so fast it basically continuously staggers the enemy & keeps them from moving or attacking at all!!! NOW THAT'S OP!!!!!!!!

It is easier to do it that way. Also, this technique works wonders when you want to cook stuff but don't have anything. FYI, you can cook anything as long as you have 1 squirell bit, 1 iguana bit, 1 brhamin meat and at least 1 wood. You just have to select the meals first then procede as shown in this video. Remember, you can hold a button (even the cancel button) before releasing it. If you create a new character, enjoy the level 1 guy with all the meal buffs! :)
I just clicked to craft the weaker mod and before accepting moving the mouse over the mod I want, then slowly move the mouse along the mod name and then rapidly pressed TAB (to cancel building the weaker mod) and then building the better one with E

Also iirc there was something else fun you could do with glitch modding a Legendary Machete, with the help of the Kremvh's Tooth effect being on the weapon mod itself, you could create a weapon with every type of damage (Physical, Bleed, Poison, Radiation, and Frost).
And don't forgot the contestant game breaking bugs in the main quest that stop the plot from progressing till you quick load 20+ times with a real life luck stat of 9 😬

From memory, in the nuka cola world DLC, there is a weapon called ”splatter cannon” it's a sniper rifle with a mod that has +25% damage on every consecutive hit. I changed it to a automatic weapon and had insane results. You should add it you your ripper. It would be insane

The "splattercannon" and "the problem solver", both got the same legendary effect, oddly 1 is way more expensive then the other. 1 is avaible on the nuka world market for sale and the other one is given to you during the quest where you have to go to the faction leaders from the pack guy after some speechchecks. They are both my fav guns in the game because... ...You got plenty of ammo that you can go full auto with ease (i usually run out of ammo with other full automatic guns for some reason, but 2 vendors on the nuka market sell together ~1500 bullets i... you dont find any ammo outside of nukaworld tho) ...they not that huge that they covers half of the screen (like the lasers or assault rifle) ...good stats make them great all-purpose weapons, unlike e.g. explosiv shotguns. i travel around alone most of the time so i got 1 sniper and an automatic... but giving a second auto-version to a companion works also ... they dont look like crap ... and they are quiete easy to get
Theres a ripper that has a %50 to stun every hit,since the ripper hits so fast It stuns every few seconds so Every enemy is just made useless at that point

8:44 You can animation cancel by repeatedly going into third and first person over and over again after every swing, which makes swinging the bat much faster. This works for all melee weapons (except maybe The Ripper since it’s a chainsaw?)

I did the swap exploit with "Heated Coil" onto a ripper since I didn't know about the mouse part of the "Can't make it, break it" glitch. I then fought the Deathclaw in the Museum of Witchcraft. I found that the quick fire nature of the weapon combined with Blitz, allowed we to cross the distance for my first hit, then the electrical aspect paralyzed the Deathclaw. I then just held the attack button down for a good 10+ seconds. The electrical aspect kept the Deathclaw paralyzed and ragdolling for the entire battle. I think I was level 4, maybe 5. Deathclaw had a skull and a star. Basically, while it took a while, I was able to safely engage the Deathclaw. It's not as useful for multiple enemies as the ripper eats through AP. I wonder if the Pickman + Heated Coil would be a better match since I could use my AP more efficiently and have 25 bleed damage per hit? I also found that I can't make a Rocket Launcher Pipe Rifle :( which would have be far more useful than the nuke pipe gun.
My favorite melee in Fallout 4 involves a special Machete called Kremvh's Tooth, it has a mod for bleeding and poison that can be removed and placed on to a Legendary.

an alternative to this exploit is the mod that lets you put any modification on any weapon, which makes it a lot easier to make whacky and broken weapons and graphically they tend to work better
I know, I just hit a bug with the first quest in the BoS line and now I have to find a way to fix it. It’s really put me off playing Fallout 4 for a bit, just because I know it’s not going to be easy to fix, so do I try and fix it or dump this character and hope it doesn’t happen again?

If you get the Harvester legendary ripper from the far harbor island you can also constantly stun enemies to the point where they can’t even hit you or do anything.
There's a Ripper in Far Harbor called the Harvester that comes with the staggering legendary effect which, when combined with the Ripper's attack speed, can stun lock an opponent so there's no chance of them fighting back. (Located in a red trunk in the attic of Echo Lake Lumber)
There is a way to do more than a million damage with a melee weapon without any mods or glitches just by stacking various buffs from chems,perks, and armour
melee is absolutely ridiculous before you even start using exploits. partially because some perks don't work like they should. rooted stacks with blitz because the player is considered stationary during vats despite blitz teleporting the player. for some reason deacon's perk cloak and dagger is multiplicative and not additive. so instead of giving +.2 to the sneak attack modifier it multiplies the sneak attack multiplier by 1.2 which results in it adding much more then 20% damage.
I know but for some unknown reason TH-cam doesn't seem to consider the word coffee itself a swear word. It would broaden his list of things he can safely say when frustrated without being demonetised.
Spiff a minor spin off of the exploit you did with the weapons mods is near the bottom of the list you can actually scroll wheel down without selecting so you can use the exploit with the end of list/best mods (on PC at least) Cheers

I'm sure you know that drugs stack, one of each type and that the hybrid drugs only count as one (whatever is first in their name) and the advanced derivatives with their own names have their own slots. So it's totally legitimate to use BUFFtats (3S 3E 3P +HP), PSYCHObuff (+25%, 3S, 3E, +HP), Fury (+50%, -5P, +DR), Jetfuel (AP, AP regen), Med-X (+DR, +poison resist), Mentats (because why not), Mysterious serum (5S, +DR), Overdrive (+25%, +Crit) for a smooth 11S, 6E, -2P, ++HP, +++DR, +AP, AP regen, poison resist, +Crit and +100% damage; since melee weapons turn strength into damage that 11S is 110% more damage for a totally fair and balanced +210% melee damage. My survival melee character is called Bane and I hot keyed all the chems, put a macro on the side of my mouse to hit all the hotkeys so I had a Venom button that turned me into a monster.
Just for the funzies you should get the *Creatures of the Commonwealth* mod. It adds all the DLC monsters to the main map and it doesn’t care that you’re not lvl30 yet because a simple cave cricket may as well be a Borderlands2 raid boss.
That's why when you are trying to shot a enemy and it seems to take forever and waste way too much ammo, you just blitz up to them and use either Pickman's blade or the throatslicer they take much more damage,
Combine this with the legendary ripper “The Harvester” from Far Harbor that Can stun targets on hit, which can effectively stunlock whoever you are using it on, and you can become death itself.
I recommend mod-glitching a targeting computer from a missile launcher onto a 10mm pistol. It gives you rapid-fire homing missiles that cost a single 10mm bullet each. They have much greater range than a mini nuke, and if you avoid establishing a target lock they can be dumbfired at distant targets. At close range you can shoot over cover or around corners, by establishing a lock, and then firing your shot straight up into the air. It'll arc back down on a sharp trajectory and basically impact the enemy from above. Just like blasting a tank with a javelin missile from above and detonating the magazine, causing the turret to go flying off.
There's a legendary effect that provides 15% damage reduction as long as your character is stationary, and if you get it on every about piece or armor, you take no damage while standing still. That would be my guess.

Now you gotta craft some Fury on the chem station, you can glitch it if you can make the chem below or above it. It adds 50% to your melee damage. It's kinda like melee psycho. I inject it before every major melee conflict. Squirrel soup adds extra experience. I combine that with the robot workbenches glitch and voila!!

Good early game. But when you get to levels of 100+, enemies health pools are so large that wounding just doesn't cut it.
Tried a furious accelerated minigun and it rips a level 130 enraged fog crawler to shred in seconds. I haven't had the chance tried wounding tho
the ripper with th stagger effect is even more hilarious. 100% stunlock
stagger is best on the ripper for solo enemies bc they cant fight back
Furious on high firerate/attack speed weapons is just broken.

I had a Wounding Minigun drop for me once. That was a death ray. Bonus bleed damage (ignoring armour) for EVERY hit. Happy Times :D

Used that to make the weapon, anything strong enough to not die immediately is effectively bullied to death. It’s quite the spectacle to behold.

I found that the quick fire nature of the weapon combined with Blitz, allowed we to cross the distance for my first hit, then the electrical aspect paralyzed the Deathclaw. I then just held the attack button down for a good 10+ seconds. The electrical aspect kept the Deathclaw paralyzed and ragdolling for the entire battle. I think I was level 4, maybe 5. Deathclaw had a skull and a star.
Basically, while it took a while, I was able to safely engage the Deathclaw. It's not as useful for multiple enemies as the ripper eats through AP. I wonder if the Pickman + Heated Coil would be a better match since I could use my AP more efficiently and have 25 bleed damage per hit?
I also found that I can't make a Rocket Launcher Pipe Rifle :( which would have be far more useful than the nuke pipe gun.
My favorite melee in Fallout 4 involves a special Machete called Kremvh's Tooth, it has a mod for bleeding and poison that can be removed and placed on to a Legendary.

The shotgun is also, legitimately, the fastest firing weapon in the game as it's only limited to 2 shots, but there isn't a recoil cap on it at all!

an alternative to this exploit is the mod that lets you put any modification on any weapon, which makes it a lot easier to make whacky and broken weapons and graphically they tend to work better
The mod works the way it's supposed to that's why you shouldn't use it and use the default Bethesda way that's already in the game
I used that mod to put the Wounding effect on a mingun. It was insane.

I know, I just hit a bug with the first quest in the BoS line and now I have to find a way to fix it. It’s really put me off playing Fallout 4 for a bit, just because I know it’s not going to be easy to fix, so do I try and fix it or dump this character and hope it doesn’t happen again?

@@TuxieBSOD I know speedrunners use an unpatched version of the game, but I love how tomatoanus calls propclipping with a cone "VLC Clipping". And often times nobody gets the joke in that name.

There's a Ripper in Far Harbor called the Harvester that comes with the staggering legendary effect which, when combined with the Ripper's attack speed, can stun lock an opponent so there's no chance of them fighting back. (Located in a red trunk in the attic of Echo Lake Lumber)

melee is absolutely ridiculous before you even start using exploits. partially because some perks don't work like they should. rooted stacks with blitz because the player is considered stationary during vats despite blitz teleporting the player. for some reason deacon's perk cloak and dagger is multiplicative and not additive. so instead of giving +.2 to the sneak attack modifier it multiplies the sneak attack multiplier by 1.2 which results in it adding much more then 20% damage.

Spiff a minor spin off of the exploit you did with the weapons mods is near the bottom of the list you can actually scroll wheel down without selecting so you can use the exploit with the end of list/best mods (on PC at least) Cheers

I'm sure you know that drugs stack, one of each type and that the hybrid drugs only count as one (whatever is first in their name) and the advanced derivatives with their own names have their own slots. So it's totally legitimate to use BUFFtats (3S 3E 3P +HP), PSYCHObuff (+25%, 3S, 3E, +HP), Fury (+50%, -5P, +DR), Jetfuel (AP, AP regen), Med-X (+DR, +poison resist), Mentats (because why not), Mysterious serum (5S, +DR), Overdrive (+25%, +Crit) for a smooth 11S, 6E, -2P, ++HP, +++DR, +AP, AP regen, poison resist, +Crit and +100% damage; since melee weapons turn strength into damage that 11S is 110% more damage for a totally fair and balanced +210% melee damage.
My survival melee character is called Bane and I hot keyed all the chems, put a macro on the side of my mouse to hit all the hotkeys so I had a Venom button that turned me into a monster.

Just for the funzies you should get the *Creatures of the Commonwealth* mod.
It adds all the DLC monsters to the main map and it doesn’t care that you’re not lvl30 yet because a simple cave cricket may as well be a Borderlands2 raid boss.

That's why when you are trying to shot a enemy and it seems to take forever and waste way too much ammo, you just blitz up to them and use either Pickman's blade or the throatslicer they take much more damage,

Combine this with the legendary ripper “The Harvester” from Far Harbor that Can stun targets on hit, which can effectively stunlock whoever you are using it on, and you can become death itself.

I have a mod that adds a really deadly bleed to frag grenades, and also modifies all the other grenades in the game to be more deadly.

I recommend mod-glitching a targeting computer from a missile launcher onto a 10mm pistol. It gives you rapid-fire homing missiles that cost a single 10mm bullet each. They have much greater range than a mini nuke, and if you avoid establishing a target lock they can be dumbfired at distant targets. At close range you can shoot over cover or around corners, by establishing a lock, and then firing your shot straight up into the air. It'll arc back down on a sharp trajectory and basically impact the enemy from above. Just like blasting a tank with a javelin missile from above and detonating the magazine, causing the turret to go flying off.

I would really like to see how you manage to exploit armor, as you have covered Melee and Ranged weapons, why not show off the armor modifications?
There's a legendary effect that provides 15% damage reduction as long as your character is stationary, and if you get it on every about piece or armor, you take no damage while standing still. That would be my guess.

Now you gotta craft some Fury on the chem station, you can glitch it if you can make the chem below or above it. It adds 50% to your melee damage. It's kinda like melee psycho. I inject it before every major melee conflict. Squirrel soup adds extra experience. I combine that with the robot workbenches glitch and voila!!
