My sister's husband CHEATED on her. She came back home with her 1mo BABY. She doesn't even want to face him but my family is asking her to adjust and COMPROMISE and live with him just to prevent a DIVORCE!! I hate that I can't stand for her. I just wanted to scream at their faces and ask to leave her alone.

@@niharika9446 I strongly agree with you. When it comes to arranged marriage it us arranged by parents or some relatives. And you do not even know that person. We can't spend the whole life with a stranger. They only enquire about Family, Job, Salary, age and physique. They won't enquire anything about his character. This is just absurd.

@@niharika9446Not True. You kids probably don't understand that cheating can happen whether it is love marriage or arranged marriage. Please sympathize with people instead of telling them that they made "bad decisions" because they probably didn't. I know many successful arranged marriages. And infact in this era, the concept of marriage itself should just go away. People should just date and live in.

Do they not know that a couple should mutually compromise? If they don't mutually compromise, it is better to get a divorce than stay. They need to understand that divorce is not a bad thing unless done for the wrong reasons.

I refrain myself from commenting on such videos because most women might not agree with me. This video really sounds good for women in 20s. I'm 38 single independent women and let me tell you just the way marriage has its pros and cons being single also has it. I am not saying every woman has same experiences but I would like to give insight in my life.
    1) being a single child I know my parents are senior citizens and they are worried if I can manage my life alone without them. We don't have extended family. I would be on my own after them.
    2) All my friends are married and have school going children. They prefer hanging around with mothers of their children's friends. We rarely meet as they are busy with their families and when we do we don't have anything common to talk about.
    3) my colleagues are my friends who are much younger than me who often come to me with their boyfriend problems. Senior colleagues though married feel I'm available n might want to make a pass.
    4) yes I have learnt doing things on my own. Like watching a movie alone, going on solo trips, reading a book, dining alone... but don't forget it's ALONE. You feel good about it initially and keep saying better to be alone than in bad relationship but it's just like saying grapes r sour.
    5) you see children around n u feel emptiness. Yes u can adopt. But does it make sense to go to a job and leave ur adopted child to ur old already tired parents. Coz as single mother u need finances to look after the child so job is important.
    6) yes get involved in society work, social causes, spiritual work n then when u look around and see a couple holding hands or see a husband checking with his wife if she's ok n u feel that pang in ur stomach.
Yes marriage can have it's disadvantages. I have gone through a failed marriage in my 20s n I completely agree marry for urself and not for a society. Do not stay in a marriage which doesn't give you love and respect. But dear girls no person is 100 % perfect if you meet someone who respects u and who supports you in thick and thin please consider marriage. It's about living thru differences and still sailing together.

I totally agree with you KP. I am a 31 year old single woman and totally agree. If as a girl, you find a man who cares for you and respects you and if there is mutual attraction between you two, totally go for that guy. Career is important , it can give you money, respect but at the end of day we are humans and crave for humanly love, be it form of spouse, kids, and parents. It's not only for women but for men as well. I understand, till 25-26, people should focus on their career but after that, if you find a guy/girl for whom their is mutual love between him or her, don't let go of that person. I don't believe in forced marriage but marriage done with mutual consent and love is of prime value.

Most of the factors originate from the belief that marriage = life long relationship = allowance for sex = moral right to reproduction.
In my opinion there are 2 major reasons of gender discrimination in societies all over the world. a) biological buildup and b) institution of marriage. Now in point a) there are differences some of which needs to be embraced and some not and in b) as the dialog: concept me hi locha hai, we need an equal concept bounded by law

Now we are happily married. We have no children either of us. I knew from an early age I never wanted children. We dont have arranged marriges. We marry on our own terms with the person we want. Love is essential. Lots of people prefer to live together and we did that too. Its a good way to find out if you are a good match. Divorce rate is about 50%. If I don't completely agree with your point, please don't mind, don't bash me with abusive language.
MARRIAGE IS A BEAUTIFUL COMPANIONSHIP BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE and even between families.
There is no need to fear this concept so much.because firstly it wasn't meant to be dowry driven, patriarchal ,one sided advantage ,or even kind of dealership ....some parts of society has made it look like the above said for their benefit.
It is relationship between equals ,by equals ,I don't mean financially equal,I mean equal in terms of love, care, nurturing and respect...
It's nurturing each other....be part of each other's growth and progress...life doesn't need just growth career wise, there is emotional ,spiritual growth as well.If you are with a partner who understands you, loves you, cares for you, supports you emotionally , that person may not be perfect for somebody else, but there is nothing more beautiful than being in committed relationship with that person...
I am against patriarchy but in Marriage like relationship I really feel it's mutual giving ,mutual trust ,mutual understanding kind of khatti meethi relationship not always easy but yes good experience if you marry the one you want to be with whole life.
I don't oppose the idea of marriage.
Career is v important for a woman as well as personal relationships.
Marry when you are mentally and emotionally ready.
Marrying doesn't harm your career.if it is going to harm, either wait for right time or if your guy's side wants you to quit your job then don't marry that guy!
Live in,is not always progressive or modern concept.
And marriage is not outdated concept.
    Period!

Not every girl can get job . Hence those girls who are in job must focus on job and be involve in building nation's economy. They must not be pressurized for marriage.
Also the boys who want to marry can get n number of beautiful , caring and good cook girl to marry. They preferably must not marry a girl in job . Either it will spoil her carrier or it will spoil marriage life of both. So best way that boys wants a wife or a real better half ( gharwali), first they must make it sure before marriage. If they want gharwali then they must refrain from a working women or girl. She may not become a home maker completely. She can not serve you delicious meal. And even after marrige you have to be dependent on zomato, swiggy etc... She can only life become a partner.
Girls have their right to choose their carrier objective and boys have their right to choose a best suiting home maker better half for them.
Boys can have a trial and error relationship with a girl working. This will help them to know consequences after marriage with that girl. In relationship they can know and analyse how much time she can give to them and home,,,in kichen ,, on bed .. making coordination with her job. If you find in evening a women tired of job, stressed,,,, unable to make your stomach happy (ie actually way to men's heart) and not able to accept sex request as tired too much, boys can predict the situation after marriage. Hence best way to get break up here. It may be painful for short span but it will prevent whole life to be painful.
Also if you find a women may be very good or great scientist or genius , she must not be distracted to ordinary activities such as marrige. They must be given full opportunity to serve nation and mankind.
The ideal age for boys to be Father of first child is 27-28. If wants second child then 33-35. Hence they must marry a women only who can gift fatherhood to them in this time slot. Life is very small . Especially young age period. And this precious part of age must not just spoiled in fighting, divorce , separation just for sake of surviving a Baniya (employers)
So any girl who is carrierstic should be given full freedom to make carrier.. to fulfill her and her employer's goals and objectives. Only some stupid boys expect marrige with them or they are after such girls to marry too and their marriages end to disaster after some time.
You can see indian husbsnds of manny successful and busy women enjoying official tours at Pattaya, petppong thailand and at Cebu, Angeles, Burgos cities of Philippines. So what is the meaning of such marriages.
I know some stupid people won't like my comments. But boys must not care those. Boy are free to prefer what they want irrespective of gender discrimination.

4:44 you might not get married, but it's okay... You just have to be sure of living with the person you like and want to share your life with. Now that's a answer you'll get with time whether it's going to be lifelong or until-the-feeling-last (mind my words because compulsive decisions often reflect immature actions taken), or simply you get to know the other person better in real-time.
5:05 accept that you don't require a romantic companionship and can control the sexual urges you'll be having... Because trust me, that's where the most people fails.

It is truly interesting that we are educating women to move into live-in relationships because we cannot fix the marriages in our society. If taken the same way, we shouldn't accept anything that isn't perfectly designed for us, because we're too childish and immature to face off with real life. Oh, and the best part is where women are supposedly the target of it all because, you poor lot never heard of men being riddled with torment by their wives, continuing with marriage just because of the kids. Y'all need to educate yourselves, marriage is a two-party project, you can't snooze and blame it all on the other person. Applies to either gender. The only alternative to marriage is you growing up. If you can't be mature enough to get married and adjust with each other (man or woman), you really shouldn't have kids because you're gonna set the worst possible example for them.

I think being a mother and getting married is not mandatory, but I am not supportive of live in relationship too, that's just how commitment less a person is . And Only a Manchild and womanchild go for this kind of casual way. Getting divorced after having kids over little thing like he is becoming fat and don't earn that much etc. is also not good , There is a reason why Asian is becoming more successful and black in America usually have a high rate of being brought by single parent than white, Jews and Asians .

    Stop listening to these advices
lets me counter on all points she makes :- (I know its long, took me longer than what it will take you to read)
1st - For females - they should marry before 30. Because after that age in general, girls suffer from complications during child birth. But yeah you can marry at 32 and still bring a child to this world but you should also consider your age when you children are going to get married and then they have kids. It wont be even able to leave imprints on the new leaves of your tree.
2nd - No one will marry you if you tell them that you dont want to have kids. Marrying is all about making family and continuing you legacy. Yeah if couple cant have kids then you can go for adoption. But generally speaking, most people want to have their own family(their own blood).
3rd - So some truth in this statements, girls option gets less as she becomes successful. But why, because girls and their parents wont even consider guys earning less than her. If you just talk about the females, how many of them will even give a chance to guy or date guys who earn less than them. So you have your ans.
4rth - People around you especially your family are you well wishers and they will give you good advice. They know(as stated in 1st point), age matters for girls, so they will definitely push you to get married before you prime is gone. And being successful is good for both men and women, but men can be alone at 40 not being judged by society and even happy with himself, but its not the case for female.
5th - Relationship is about compromise for both. But why everyone thinks its more for women. Lets see. Girl has to change her job location when getting married. True but why this happens. Because job security for men is more imp than women, But why because women has to give birth and not work for atleast a year(now they leave their new born with grandparent and go to work. Its hard living in cities). Who going to bring food on the table at that time. MEN. Its just one example. But it doesnt mean guys sacrificing/compromising nothing at their end. But because of such examples, its always women, even men themselves will say that yeah its tough for women etc.
6th - Well again girls objectify(what a word to use here) men more than they do. Height matter more for women, income matters more for women, family background matters more to women, where he works matters to women, and list goes on. And as i stated in my previous point its tough living in a city, so these past couple of years guys want their partner to work so that they can do well for themselves. Buying a house in cities is like more than 1 cr. Working guy on average good job will earn 1L per month, with family you wont be even able to afford ac, well ac yes but not the bills. So yeah they want you to work. And the real hypocrisy is, if women works, she's like I work too and if not then, i have to take care of the house the children and what not. HYPOCRISY
7th - Ambitious women, but in what sense, she want to study, want to work and grow professionally. Who stopped you. And for the news adv, what they meant is these days even before marriage girls are interested in, what cars then guy have or he have at his house, we dont want that kind of ambition.
8th - What a big load of crap, no laws for marital rape. Martial rape is considered as domestic violence. And there are laws for domestic violence. Women must come out and seek justice for themselves in such situation and due to society where women are favoured they most probably will get something out of it. But What is not recognised is domestic violence against men. Go ahead and search for it. Also search for percentage, you will get to see results for yourself. Hypocrisy was the word used.
And dowry, ask you parent to search for the family which doesnt ask for it and in love marriage things are in your hand. Well we dont have dowry in my state(HP), its almost zero.
9th - Divorce is not normalized , well, because we dont have that high percentage of divorces in india and we should work towards keeping it that way. We are example for the world in this case. Love marriages have more divorces than arrange and guess what women are in majority for filing divorce too. And divorce will never be normalised, even in west people will date divorce but never engage or marry them(very low percentage).
10th - I dont support LGBT, but i'm not even against them. People should be allowed to choose what they want, even if its a mistake, because it will be their mistake(HA HA).
    Ending :-
Well you can live alone, but some points again(huh), you cant be forever with your friends, they will get married, might reallocate, or you get into a fight. Then you have no reason to be together, well you can talk, but you have to create a new social circle where you living. How many times you going to do that. You will work or make friends. People with job knows this.
Now you can live with the people with same lifestyle, how many unmarried people do you see. Will young people even entertain you when you 40+?
Live in relationships - Nothing wrong, do whatever you want to do. But will girls tell their body count publicly. NOOOO because they consciously know that it matter. So live all you want in LIVE IN RELATIONSHIPS, but you past gonna come haunt you ass.
Be ready for it. Simple example - guys with high body count - stud, playboy. Women - slut, whore.
And last yes marriage is not social obligation, but you should be mature enough by 30 to decide what you want in life. PEACE.

Thanks for your descriptive analysis. I would also add at last where she says,
      "Your happiness is above all".
I find this statement a bit selfish. Being a girl, I can understand the societal pressure of marriage. But one cannot simply destroy a boys life on her whims.
Girls like this " no marriage" idea in 20s...but as they age they feel lonely (their fault), and want to marry a guy for companionship.
Now tell me, why would a guy marry an over aged girl? Even boys do have preferences.. And that girl is getting married for what? Companionship? Isn't it too much to expect.
I don't intend to marry in life. ..n even if I feel lonely, I won't marry because loneliness is a personal problem...I should not exploit a man to get happiness.
Girls should come out of this dream world where every people will go by their whims.
Girls need to stop bashing men if they prefer younger women. You can't call his choice toxic masculinity. It's his life! If he thinks younger women is one stop solution in his marital life, let him deal with it.

Seems like these are the type of women who wants to live their independent life style in their 20s, which is fine do whatever you want. But when they turn 30 or 40 and hit the wall, they turn around and blame men for being single and they don’t want to be held accountable for their actions. Well let see what happened in 10 or 20 years.

Bitches be degrading Kings and say we can move shoulder to shoulder with men. Hol up, those men are the ones who structured this industry and all the claims that woman make that we are strong and all ya we agree but you won't be just strong shouting it and just trying to validate your point without any backups for it. Keep your mouth shut, grind for yo self earn the respect. It's that simple. And also if you think you can move shoulder to shoulder with men, yes you can but you don't have to go through the same sufferings a man has to go to reach to same goal as of a woman bcz this society is structured in such a way to give woman the ease to live and one more fact, this society that we live in is structured by those men and still men suffer more proves the point of why one suffers himself to provide happiness to others and one enjoys a given happiness without considering others.
