after finding top dead center and setting up the timeing chain on marks flywheel and top end on mark . when trying to crank it , pops or back fires out the intake ?? am i 180 out ?
@@rolandsgarage8640 prob a dumb question but im racking my brain , if it is poping out carb and the marks are set up between the flywheel and piston is at top also , the head is at its marks also , how can i correct it ?? does that mean the head is at the intake position ???
hey, I just got my 2003 Kodiak back together after rebuild. It runs great but there is still a loud clicking in the head. I set the valve clearances. any idea what it could be?
Great video, man. Reminds me of me and my son working 😂
Good job letting your little one help. I miss those days with my son. He is all grown up and working on helicopters in the Marine corps now.
Thanks for the help! BTW The kid is hilarious :)
Nice video got the timing right the first time on my 01

Your camshaft is in the wrong position.
What will cause too much gap on the rocker arm
They valves need to be adjusted. If it'd not covered in this video it will be in part 3
I brought it to top dead center and it had a quarter inch gap
@@missypeppers3193 you need to tighten them up then

It's probably the valves. Make sure you get the motor warm and put it on top dead center and adjust them again
