Blake Brennan Glad to help. A few customers of mine have these tractors so I'm pretty familiar with them and their common problems. If you have any questions, just throw me a line. Thanks for watching

I am having to replace the tie-rod on my LS R3039, would have had no idea how to loosen the End Assembly and get the tie-rod off without this video. Thank you so much. I have no idea how to align it when I get the new one, but I will keep searching.

The ball has a place to put a wrench to keep it from spinning.
At least that the “case” for most ball sockets.
Actually about to head to a tractor junk yard to find a tie rod end, actually both ends that have been on this tractor for I’m guessing the life of it. And was wondering how rusted in hard and a secret to pulling the end out of the rod it’s clamped into.
I’m guessing I’m in for a treat but the new one I got that was made in China is too big where the ball is and will rub on the tire if installed.
Anyway I think if you lift the boot there’s a couple flat spots on the topside of the ball that you can slip a thin set wrench on to hold it from spinning.
I believe that’s what you also do to tighten it as well and for putting a cotter pin in to back it off or whatever

Problem fixed went and put new ends and o ring into the couplers and tried it that didn't work it still blew all the remotes out so I just hooked up one remote started on 1 and went to 3 # 1 blew out # 2 and #3 worked fine I isolated the problem to # 1 so I removed #1 remote and disassembled found 2 different remote cartridges one had a screw to take it apart one is like the new ones you buy so I replaced both cartridges and the problem fixed to elaborate on symptoms all remote hoses would blow out at the same time and a lot of oil dripping off #2 and 3. Remote. My conclusion is that the one bad remote cartridge in #1 was not allowing the fluid to flow backwards through the hoses and dead heading the remote and releasing its pressure through the 1/4 inch vent line on each remote and the applying pressure in to the vent pushing the cartridge forward releasing them and causing oil to be forced out of the lower drip line on # 2 and 3 remote when I came to that conclusion I was testing and I actually blew apart out one of the 1/4 inch vent lines this was all new hoses I had put on earlier so I new high pressure was entering the vent side of the remote it cost me 2 remote cartridges 251 with shipping from superior tractor parts and like 20 bucks in o ring seals and about 3 gallons of hydro fluid school of hard knocks now I know Im a self employed mechanic by trade for 15 years I work on small engine and autos for a living. I've never worked on any thing this big its not much different the principle is the same its way bigger and heavier and a lot more parts

Blake Brennan Good to hear! Process of elimination usually works. It is always challenging buying something used because you don't know what anybody else did. I once rebuilt an engine that had the wrong cylinder head on it. Took a while to find that problem!

On my 7140 im having a problem keep the hydraulic hoses in the remotes it will spit all three remotes out some times you can make it work then it will quit and all three remotes are unplugged its really odd it started doing it more after I replaced leaking o rings on the hydraulic cylinders on the disk I've been working on and have it hooked to i ive recently purchased this tractors and been replacing numerous parts is it possible the remote cartridges need replaced I've cleaned them and that didn't seem to help I've turned down the flow on the valve s all the way besides spending a grand on remote cartridges I thought I'd ask someone who deals in this area thanks

Blake Brennan Do they pop out on other implements or only on the disc? I would definitely check the shoulders on the male ends of the hoses on the disc. They generally wear faster than the balls in the female end on the tractor. Since it started after you worked on the disc, try hooking up a different implement. keep me updated

ill go buy new ends for the disk i resealed the cylinders and put new hoses on it the only thing i havent changed on the disk was the quick coupler ends this is the only implement i have currently ill let you know

Blake Brennan make sure that you get the correct ends. There are a couple different sizes available and it could just be that the male ends are a touch too small. Going to a Case dealer would be the best chance of getting it right and taking your serial number with you just in case. It is most likely located on the frame on the right side of the tractor just under the cab.
