    Hey Nilson,
    Thank you for the review, I was confused on what to buy an ultrawide 34" or 32" 16:9 qualHD monitor,
    I always had my suspicion that full HD won't be enough for programming and the small texts in Full HD will pixelate to the eye.
    Thank you to clear my doubts, there was no other video on youtube comparing these thing,

    Hi Nilson,
    My use case is mainly reading. How is the low brightness of this monitor ? Does it allow minimum brightness to be really low for a dark room setup? Is there flicker at minimum brightness ? Is the screen uniform at minimum brightness in readind mode ? Your response will help me decide whether to buy it or not.

    • @NilsonCreative
      @NilsonCreative  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi,
      I was doing some test and you can adjust the brightness all the way to 0, I didn’t notice any flickering at low brightness in the reading mode, LG also states that this monitor is flicker safe, so you should be fine and also the screen seemed uniform to me even at low brightness.

    İts so good video that includes many knowledges but i just wondering , how we can make srgb mode? İs there a mode for srgb or we have to calibrate ? Otherwise are there the options to make srgb colour look ?

    • @NilsonCreative
      @NilsonCreative  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Well, sRGB is a colour space and this monitor covers 99% of those colours, some monitors have the sRGB colour mode but this one doesn’t. The sRGB mode is supposed to give you a more accurate sRGB colours but this is something you shouldn’t worry about, unless you’re doing high budget works. According to LG, this monitor is already colour calibrated but you can calibrate it yourself if you have the appropriate tools.

    Good day!
    I've spent quite the bit of time looking for a suitable monitor and this one really ticked most of the boxes for me. However, before I make the purchase, I would like to consult one little matter with you.
    (1) The monitor comes with 1 billion colours - does 1440p@75hz retain them? Most panels I've seen, such as a very similar viewsync model, do not support 10 bit alongside 1440p@75hz, and will instead revert to the 8 bit configuration. Consequently, this blends perfectly into my most serious concern:
    (2) Does the monitor support 1440p@75 hz right out of the box? I have a non AMD card (2060), and intend to use a DP 1.2/1.4 cable.
    Thank you so much for any help that you may render me!

    • @NilsonCreative
      @NilsonCreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, this monitor is not a real 10 bit display it’s 8 bit + FRC. I’m running it with the Mac mini and it runs at 1440p@75 hz, but I’m unable to confirm if it’s running at 8 bit or 10 bit. I’m using HDMI cable to connect the monitor, I don’t know if it will work out of the box with the Nvidia 2060

      @@NilsonCreative Hey there!
      Thanks for being so helpful, I really admire the fact that you went forth with my question and answered it so thoroughly. Due to a change in circumstances, I decided to go with a somewhat pricier monitor, that being LGs 27 inch 850-B model.

    I'm going to be a programmer. I've seen you changed your monitor setup, would you share your experience. What display size and resolution would you recommend for only programming.

    • @NilsonCreative
      @NilsonCreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my experience, if you’re serious about programming, you need to have at least 3 windows opened at the same time, one for your code, one to see the results and another one to do research or watch tutorials. There are a couple of ways you can archive this! The first option, get 2x 27 inch monitor with at least 1440p resolution. The second option, get one 32 inch monitor and one 27 inch monitor with at least 1440p resolution, so you can mount it like I did in this video. The third option, is to get an ultra wide monitor with at least 38 inches in size. Hope this information helps you to decide

      @@NilsonCreative awesome thanks just one more, I care more for long term investment so when you say "at least" could you clarify for optimal, I don't care spending more money if it improves productivity so for example would 32 inch 4k be better than 32 inch 1440p for programming?

    • @NilsonCreative
      @NilsonCreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I say “at least” I mean don’t go any lower than that because you’re gonna waste your money! 1440p will give you “similar” screen real state as 4K monitor but if you can, then go for the 4K as your main monitor, it will give you an overall better image quality and the text is gonna look much sharp, which is important since you’re going to be reading a lot!

    Hi There,
    I intend to use this monitor mostly on the Portrait Mode for 6-7 hours daily. Do you think there would be some kind of a problem for keeping and using this monitor in the Portrait Orientation? LG customer rep. said they wouldn't suggest keeping this in Portrait, but I'm finding it difficult to believe that.

    • @NilsonCreative

      I’ve used it in portrait mode for a while and you do lose a bit of image quality when in portrait mode, also the text is a bit harder to read. These might be some of the reasons why they do not recommend it? This monitor is quite big to use in portrait mode
