You make all other TH-cam DIY guys look like hack jobs. I’ve said it before you cinematography and editing is spot on your even getting better, I went back and watched your videos 6 months ago and there is a noticeable change in the way you put your productions together that really streamlines the whole video.
We just need him to talk a little more and maybe include your wife and kids those snow bikes need to make a comeback we don't get those in Australia for some reason maybe because we have snow in one small part of the whole country
For many years I have been watching fabrication and builds. You are the best out all of them. You're attention all the smallest things are amazing. I wish you can get students to teach. Keep up the great work!
I'm trying to rig up a similar switchback system on my truck and bought shrouds just like these with the same wiring system it seems. On the wires for the turn signals the original has the green and white. The harness for the switchback has the black box with the black and yellow going to the shroud. Then it has four wires coming out of the other side of the box (black, white, red, yellow). I couldn't see how you rigged the other four wires here and I don't see much on the forums that's helping me. Could you give me a brief description as to how you hooked those up?
Definitely a great one 🔥. I plan on doing some headlights for my truck but thank you for ideas and inspiration from your work on the builds keep up the good work
Stellar work as usual man. I've used several of those Cerakote headlight kits with amazing success, they work extremely well...especially if you want brownie points with your mother in law! 🤣 Morimoto is also top quality kit, I'm running a 55w HID kit with their bulbs in my Tahoe, and I have a set of their XB headlights on my Silverado. Insanely bright - they are a huge step up from the factory HIDs. Funny you mentioned TRS, too...Nick C. over at there is an acquaintance of mine, great dude. Good choices all around, man!
New to this channel. I must say great job. I hope you never stop making content because your level of detail and motivation is crazy for somebody working solo.
much like yourself ive got a 3rd gen 4r and a 1st gen tacoma. i want to put 4r glass headlights on my tacoma. havent given it a close look for mounting yet. i know the grills have different shapes for the headlights would need a 4r grill on the tacoma. dont know if its possible but my 4r headlights are like new after 23 years and tacoma lights are crap after 18. after thinking about it some more the hood would prob have to be changed too.
Just subscribed, great work bud, you're one talented guy. I have a 2000 Tacoma and just love seeing the potential my old truck has through your videos. Hopefully one day my truck will look half as good as yours. Thank you for sharing your work and ideas with us all!
I was thinking at beginning how could you be so excited over headlights lol . At the end I was pretty into it too :-) They look awesome and more importantly perform awesome . Lighting is one of those areas top brands and more money works out best . Cerakote headlight kit looks interesting product, I got an old clean sf9 forester (wife's winter car) with milky lenses and this product looks ideal simple solution to try . Good job , this truck everything lucked out pretty sweet ...
Love the videos man. Well made for sure. I was wondering if you had a bumper kit for. 2012 Toyota Tundra. Not an off road style though. Also one that removes the plastic trim piece under the grill. I’m looking for the low profile look like the factory bumper but nice like what you make.
I wonder how black chrome spray paint would work on headlights. I think Duplicolor makes one called shadow chrome or something like that. I think it’d turn out nice, and since most of us don’t have a sandblaster, might be a more doable option.
Some folks seem to be using clear coat for headlight restoration using 2k in a rattle can, along with a similar sanding routine to what you did on these. Results seem promising. You have any experience with that?
How did you wire the switc backs exactly? I have all the same parts in the mail for mt 3rd gen 4runner, very curious what exactly was done for wiring the switchbacks.
Impressive work on whole truck, with all the modifications you’ve done.I would probably not wanna to even drive it after it’s done.good video as always.keep on doing what your doing 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Great video bud , im confused so retrofit has the whole package ? As u have so many links ebay , amazon etc , then retrofit theres a package $300 and change , or i can buy separatey ebay , sorry not sure if i explain my self correctly thanks
That truck is truly one of a kind, frickin’ awesome! Great job! Just wondering if this light retro kit would fit into a 1998 Toyota 4Runner. I’m currently looking for a projection kit for it. I installed LED light bulbs into the stock fixtures and totally hate the broken up beam and it just doesn’t have the reach of the beam I would like. Thanks Austin for another bitchin project, can’t wait to see what you do to the small Toyota “streeter” project! MAKING TOYOTAS GREAT AGAIN!👍🏻
How exactly did you fit the shroud to the projectors? I bought the same kit as you and am having trouble with keeping the shroud on. Not sure if I should shave the plastic opening on the shroud down?
That's terrible grammar what I was trying say was I understand why you don't talk much in your video but I'd like to hear you try but I must say you talk along more than you used by the way this not criticism just trying to help
Halos should have been put in the opposite headlights. The way they are now, the Taco looks sad eyed. They would have looked angry the other way around. Other than that, awesome build! Thanks for sharing.
Did you mark your old lights on the wall before the retro? I'm about to do the same thing but forgot to mark old cut offs. Thinking about installing prior to putting lense back on to get cut offs lined up then pulling back out to put lense on and bake back together. How's your cerakote kit holding up? I tried it on an aftermarket set and it didn't last for sh#t
Great work Austin, those really set the truck off! Makes the front look even meaner! I really hope you find a set of wheels you like and try to sandblast them and powder coat them the color you want. I've never seen you do a set of wheels and I think that would be awesome!
@7Marrez are you talking about the green Raptor Liner Yoda? If so, yes! I wonder how he's liking it! That was a great truck! I'm still wanting Austin to build a Tundra with a 12 valve Cummins under the hood!

I second that and his work is phenomenal as well! Have a fantastic day
If you like this then you should also watch Tavarish. He has a similar set of camera angles and good format.
Now it looks 2022 factory fresh! The headlights really bring it together and updates the look. 👍🏼
Thank you!
Still loving every bit of your builds. Watching from Nairobi, Kenya..... oooh yes, you've got a footing in Africa 🇰🇪✌️
Awesome job with the retrofit and restoration of old parts! Nice to see it in such a detail. A lot of work, but it sure does pay off!
Unbelievably underrated
For many years I have been watching fabrication and builds. You are the best out all of them. You're attention all the smallest things are amazing. I wish you can get students to teach.

Awesome! Thank you!!
Thanks Austine....I like the way you do the hard stuff, to get the best, reliable products.
Austin… this was your best work on this day.

I'd get rid of my RAV4 in a heartbeat for that beautiful truck sheesh great job dude 👌🏽🔥
100X better!!! Well done! 👏🏼
Amazing work love the truck you built
Very nice! I really thought you was going to turn the lens into glass before I watch the whole video but still turns out perfect. 🤙🏼

Awesome thank you! All you got to do is get out and get wrenching!!
Also I am looking for a low profile rear bumper. Almost like a roll pan but still sticks out like stock but maybe half as much.
Love the videos! We need a paint job video on the 4Runner if you still have it?
Geez…those things kick ass bro!!😍🙌🏻🔥

Omg yes. I want to do this to my prado.
F yeah! This is what I was waiting for, so I can do mine.
Nice work. I love my Mostplus LED. Hated projectors. Shine out way farther. Projectors do seem better in the rain though.

Now looks nice 👌🏼
Very nice bro, what are the watts of the ballast you used
Hello!! Question did you connect wires white and red together with your headlights wire?
Love the lights will be doing mine soon. But did you build or buy the grill?
Damn I want this truck BAD

Question what wires did you connect the switch back shrouds to
Killed it 🔥
For the wire harness link, which wire harness did you choose?
The finished headlights look amazing! Very proficient job!
I have a question - are the indicators visible during night when the low beam is on?
What size halos did you get? Looking to do the exact same setup but don’t know what size to go with. Thanks!
Next build : 1 ton truck, regular cab on 44s diesel :D

Which harness did you buy? The ebay link has multiple options for you to choose from before putting it in your cart.
H4 if your vehicle has H4 factory bulbs
What size tires and wheels do you have? Any lift?
I bought BXBUILT over priced and it wasn't worth to wait and still waiting on it I've been looking for a video like this for a while
