Why dont you clean the internal of the fork? The new oil is gonna get contaminated right away. =bad.

@Recharge Garage I see you did not do the bearings on the frame to the swing arm carrier, 1997-1999 Honda CR250R has a specific bowed puller for them, I however wasnt willing to spend the $300 for there puller as i had just biught the deluxe motion pro bearing press kit, so I grinded close enough to flush then continued to dile down the aluminum frame until my press sat flush, pulled the old bearings all out and installed all new. I see you didnt do those ones is this why?? The shape of those linkage bearings is a good indicator that them frame ones shouldve been done also.

      Hi
I’m not sure what part of the linkage you are referring to? I did all the bearings in the sub assy and the the bearings in in shock connecting assembly which is the one I had to die-grind through to get them out, I also did the swing arm bearings, there are no other bearings to do, so not sure what other bearings you are talking about? Cheers

@@rechargegarage8705 on the actual frame right where the links go to there is a bowed eyelit (if you will) that has bearings in it, I didn't see you pull those lol

Now I know what your talking about just checked OEM parts breakdown, 97 models had that bearing in the frame, this is a 98 model which doesn’t have that set up, I was thinking to myself I’m sure I did everything in the linkage and I did, 👍

Thanks for posting all your videos! I am getting ready to rebuild a 71 Kawasaki G3SS (90cc). I am looking at sealants for the case, etc. I have seen lots of folks using Hylomar but I've had zero experience w/ it. I am very familiar with Mopar sealant, which is frankly amazing. Pretty sure you could stop a dam w/ that stuff. Anyway, I am interested in your opinion and look forward to hearing from you when you have the time.

Hi your very welcome, I use loctite SI5699 grey sealant it’s an OEM grade sealant and never had any issues, I’m sure your mopar sealant would be fine as long as it’s an RTV based stuff.
Cheers good luck with the build.

Dude very much needed this video! Just picked up this same year make model last weekend and needed all this info! Would you be willing to link where you got all the new parts? Thank you so much!

      Hey Matt
Got all the fork seals, linkage and swing arm kits from Extreme motorsports on eBay all All balls kits, good quality use them all the time. The engine kit was a Matika kit which I’ve used a lot of and seem to be ok but they are cheap as, you could buy a Wrench Rabbit kit off Mx Store up to you. Good luck with the build and your welcome mate. Up the 2-smoke 🤙

      Hi Matt
did you put all the washers in the swing arm? should be plain washer then thrust washer then plain washer on each side then the seal.
