How to Make an OP Motivity/Strength Build in Lies of P | Build Guide

- Early Moonstones. Parry timings. Boss tips and tricks. The first Lies of P build guide!
In the run, there's a couple of Moonstones I couldn't find footage for:
-Venigni works - 2 x Hidden Moonstones in the drainage channel with the Puppet of the future. (Drain it with the lever behind the pancaking shovel enemy in the tunnel behind Red Fox)
-The bottom of the pit right after Fuoco - Hidden Moonstone
-Rosa Isabelle Street - Run straight ahead from the first grace until you end up next to the shortcut gate. There's a Crescent there.
-Barren Swamp - In the first cylindrical building you have to ascend, there is a wooden beam that sticks out with an item on it. This is the last remaining Half Moonstone.

Hey peeps! You can really season this build to your taste with P Organ upgrades and levels. I’d say the only crucial upgrades are deflect damage, fable damage, and that extra fable slot (you can do that one a lot earlier in the game than I did if you want to go for massive fables straight away). I’ve still not upgraded my dodge in this game and got used it without those upgrades, but I know they’re a dealbreaker for some.
If you know what you’re doing with the bosses, throw more points into strength rather than health and you’ll see the damage get a little silly, but wanted to keep it balanced for those who don’t.
Also, I loaded up this character for NG+ shenanigans and realised the wrench was still at + 9 (good to continue my classic Elden Ring tradition into Lies of P, I guess 🤦🏻♂️), so you’ll be doing more damage than I was on BRB2, Lax, Simon and Nameless. Hope you like the vid!

You can actually get a lot of ergo if you find the stargazer near Fort Faroth. Kill Greyroll with the morning star and the bleed grease. Just remember to pop a gold-pickled fowl foot just as she dies.

And if you're really fast you can rest at the stargazer , get the ergo and Greyroll will respawn

I'm all for guides that can help newcomers, but I have to say there's plenty of useful stuff that you've missed at the very start of the game. And these can *really* make a difference.
- You can start with motivity, but it's not really necessary. Go for the starting weapon you like better, you won't use it much anyways. Scaling in this game is less important than the weapon weight and base damage by itself.
- Do *not* level up your greatsword higher than +1.
- In Elyseum Boulevard, buy the Electric Coil to the merchant. *All* puppets are vulnerable to electricity. It's better to use the default triangle/Y fable art (from the blade) as it buffs the electric damage and it costs only 2 bars.
- Do *not* skip the officer elite in Elyseum Boulevard. He is hard, but he drops his weapon, which is essential for this guide. The electric coil will make him pretty easy.
- After defeating the Donkey, assemble a greatsword blade to the officer baton handle. You can also set the coil blade to the baton, but since Watchman uses electricity, I rather not.
- The officer baton handle fable art buffs a single attack. So it's very good for you to buff and go for a charged R2/RT.
- Especially useful when buffed with the coil electric buff.
- You *can* level up the electric coil blade to +2 or 3. You'll have plenty of materials when you get the Wrench, don't worry.
- When you unlock the P-Organ, the ability type passive that recharges your legion arm when killing enemies is *pretty useful*.
- Explore the whole factory. If you find the survivor NPC, he can be pretty hard, but make use of the table on his arena. You can use the Fulminis Legion arm (that you unlock after the Watchman) to deal massive damage to him. Just make some space between you two using the table and remember to always fully charge the Fulminis. Backstab spam him after that.
- For Fuoco and the whole factory, just hold onto the electric coil (you can use it on it's default handle or the officer handle, it doesn't really matter).
- When you finally get the wrench, keep going until you find the Atoned NPC.
- There's no need to fight her if you killed The Survivor NPC. Just use the Stalker's Promise Gesture and get into the railway.
- Finally, after reaching the Railway Stargazer, set the wrench blade on the baton handle.
- For your P-Organs, remember to get the extra Fable Bar. So you can combo the officer handle fable art and still use the wrench full 3 bars charge.
- When you finally find Alidoro in chapter IV (4), get the Extreme Modification amulet. This increase you damage based on how many fully charged fable arts you have. At the time, you'll be having 4 (with 5 you get a 20% damage increase).
That's it, have fun.
By the way, just a heads up. You won't be interrupted while charging the Wrench Fable art by *most* things. What do I mean most? Fury Attacks (red attacks) will interrupt you, but not only those but also every single attack from the Jester elite in chapter VII.
I could write a whole guide for the game here, but I think that's more than enough.
Tried coil + baton vs the boss. I would say it is without exageration the worse possible combo you ca use for that fight.
Less scaling, less damage than any other weapon, less reach, and antisynergy for the fable arts.
Honestly it made me think that a "worse weapon per boss" challange run would be much harder than in other souls like
@@regalvas Baton + coil will only work if you're a motivity build. It's better to stay with the default handler otherwise.

Souls type games are all about distance management. Always walk towards enemy until they are about to swing them back up. Let them finish combo.. then go in for a couple hits. Back up and repeat.

Just today I finished a Motivity playthrough with Pipe Wrench on Boom-Axe- Handle and this was ridiculously powerful - I killed Walker of Illusions before he summoned the duplicate. Just my luck, I find the easiest way to play on my 5th run ;)
Well, almost easiest. Slow weapons have drawbacks - the second Black Rabbit fight has never been such a pain before...
I like the move set of that handle, and like you say, great Motivity scaling right out of the box. Another good one more for Technique is the Booster Glaive, gives you a little wind-up distance. That took me through my first playthrough.
same here - the 3 black rabbit guys are now attacking all at once - it took me over 50 tries and a wizard to get it ng+5 motivity built

An important thing to know for people using slower strength weapons: shot puts can break a white healthbar and open the enemy up for a stagger.
Getting fatal attacks at-will is endlessly useful, and it being a ranged item makes it even better

Just finished the game today and that was my weapon though I used the electric arm since it still scales with Str and that status effect makes it easier to stagger which helps the build even more.
Had to rewind a couple times to realize he's choking back a laugh after saying P organ 😂😂😂

For anyone attempting to follow along as I am the chandelier jump has been patched or something I have been at this for over two and a half hours you can not make that jump anymore.
Imagine making a motivity build without using the Holy Sword, aka, Guts Greatsword pre crouch-poke nerf, except you don't even need to crouch to do the poke, and the charged attack comes out twice as fast.

I LOVED THIS BUILD krat baton handle and wrench head is my favorite play through so far im doing a twin dragon sword run now but DEMOLISHING everything with the wrench was so much fun
A SUPER overpowered build which got me through my first playthrough which you should totally make a video on is the sawblade plus the bramble curved sword combination with the arm of god amulet and a focus on the fable art. I got this build from fextralifes sawblade dancer video and it is totally OP 😁

I've been experimenting with the Etiquette lately and I'm honestly surprised more people don't run with it for some fun. It's definitely not crack cocaine damage, but the parasol guard stances are amusing as hell to pull off.
Anyway, didn't really need the guide but it was fun to see how destructive the wrench is, good build, good guide, and good vid.
Cool guide as per! If you end up doing a boss weapon besides the katana, might i suggest the Trident of the Covenant. Such an awesome weapon for sure, and you can play around with crit strike stuff.
I second this, I slept on it until the end of NG+ but it could be the best weapon in the game imo

The cathedral was a bit annoying and had a hard boss. I would recommend to keep going 🙂

elden ring was my first souls gane, i gave up on it, too hard for me, i tried some of your guides.. got into lies of p and tried a dex build and eventually got the double sword, then i saw this video and rerolled.. not using any summons or throwables and following along ive just beaten romeo after the 50th try, feels much better to play like this, i genuinely never thought i would be able to do any of the bosses without a summon, im a noob so maybe im deluded when i say this build isnt broken its just how the game is meant to be played? thank you
My favorite weapon combo was the city long spear handle and the tyrant murder's dagger blade.
Good god I didn’t realize how absurd strength is in this game. I played with dex/technique and sat on the Mjolnir head and technique infused booster glaive for the longest time cause it was just so good to balance distance. I’m on my 3rd playthrough but you make me want to give this a try, though sadly I’d have to reset and start anew 😭

@dennisthemenace9882 Most definitely. Positioning when using its charged/heavy attack is tricky. I think I’m in the the sweet spot but I’m a hair short. Still very useful especially when the specter has agro

35:05 I had such a hard time with the 3 brotherhood - as they all keep attacking me at once - after 50 tries I had to take the wizard
The very last fight against the nameless puppet can become nasty in phase 2 because blocking her causes a lot of damage and this superboss is superfast .
Once you have the "fat blade" Live Puppet's axe blade, use it with the handle of the pistol rock drill . The fable art of this handle is a drill that last as long as you've have full fable bars.
Upgrade them from 3 in the beginning to 5 bars (P-organ level 4). Then equip your fully upgraded (+10) superweapon with the elemental damage grindstone that makes sense, aka electricity for the nameless puppet or fire for Victor.
If you hit for a full 5 bars with the fable art of the pistol rock drill handle, your damage is incredible. Amulet here that makes sense ? Victor's ergo give you "Arm of God" amulet, which is perfect for the superfast hits of the rock drill fable art.
Once you've beaten Laxasia, do NOT use her ergo for the weapon. Use it for the amulet (Impregnable fortress), equipped it means no damage when you block hits from an enemy -> important for phase 2 of the the nameless puppet fight.

Here we go! I picked it up a few days ago and I've just been in the cable car and I'm on route to the Cathedral. Dying to watch this but don't want any spoilers. I'm running a straight up quality build, because souls , but I can't help feeling I should have stuck to either strength or dex. Oh well. Having a blast with it anyway. Let's see how long I go before I cave and watch this!

Great video as always! I have fable arted a lot of times with dialogue because of my choice of bindings too! A for xbox felt more natural, and picking up felt better with Y after elden ring

Yo bro great video.. I used to use this weapon combo at +7 doin 255+142 phys attack, I then switched to bone cutting saw blade wit the exploding pick handle, I have it at +9 doin 288+138 phys attack, I’m in chapter 9 should I go back to the wrench or is my current build good enough?

Intro had no business being as hard as it was.
I just Hulk Smash everything and it's carried me to the end of NG+ so far, even Laxasia didn't take more than about a dozen attempts.
how is he perfect parrying by just holding block ?
There's a special grindstone that allows for it...and he's Really good.

Elevator in a wooden area ?! Elden Ring and the elevator at farons keep ... ?! Used the Handle from the Tonitrus lookin weapon and the glaive blade .... the weapon Art from this elektricy handle is soo insane ...

I always go pure strength on souls(likes), at least on my first playthrough. This time though I went dex for the first time ever because the trident won me over, it's so good. Also the katana but it aint close to my playstyle (obviously). Then I realised there are handles to make heavy weapons that scale A with dex such as the heavy curved sword and the booster glaive. Pop the fire/lava/whatever cutter blade or the coil stick head and voila heavy elemental weapons that scale with dex. Or just the saw blade xD. Definitely trying this build on my ng+ though whenever I have the time to replay this awesome game. Thanks a lot for this guide!
i usually hate soulslike but this one might be in my top 3 favorite games ever, its so frustrating and hard but for some reason i refuse to give up lol can't wait to play as Dorothy from the wizard of Oz omg

Just started playing and I'm up to the king of puppets... saw you did a shortcut by jumping off but did they fix that? I tried for 20+ minutes and I couldn't get it to work.

Damn corrupted parade master is kicking my ass. Hard to get his health down without throwables or a summon to distract him. Can’t stagger him and can’t change weapon for something with more range as the stargazers don’t work.
Currently stuck on this boss. I’ve watched other tutorials how to beat him but not having any luck. Guess I gotta get good…
That police batton handle has some good stats but paired with the wrench blade, it just didn't havnt any range for me. Is there any other handle you can recommend as the wrench blade is op with is fable
Green swamp monster and walker of illusions are hell with this build but the rest are not too bad. Gank fight just gotta use summon; 2 v 4 is not too bad

Uhh so i have been following this guide and you said the next boss is the atoned but she didn't attack me... what did I do wrong? Do I just attack her?

So if some of us were complete noobs (me) who didn't know what we were doing, and sold the baton thinking it wasn't good at the time, what would be a pick for second best handle? I've been using the fire axe handle with the wrench and it's been decent, though kicking myself for selling critical items I didn't know I needed early on.

I miss 99% of my perfect guards so still stuck at the second boss. Even the training dummy smashes through my perfect guards 70% of the time.
@5:50 your character has the guard up and never drops yet your controller shows you just tapping the block button. How is this possible?

P.s.: i totally feel you on this damn AOE spittin crow ;) ... and if you cant play with the wrench like me because its too slow ... in this game i need weapons with more speed but what would you use if you cant use the wrench for this build ?!

I just dont like the range of this weapon unfortunately. Doesn’t fit my play style i prefer keeping enemies at arms length with big slash or thrust movements staggering them. Always played like this i tried this weapon it wasn’t for me
I just wanna give an advice - I dunno how you include the inputs in the video, but that part isn't helpful at all. They're incredibly dim and disappear if the background becomes a little lighter. If you wanna include this in the video and be useful, you should find a way to make it A) Bigger and B) more visible. Maybe don't make it see-through, but make it a solid controller and make the lights flash brighter on the buttons you're pressing. I had to actually look for 20 seconds after you said you included inputs to find out where it was.

Honestly I dodge more then perfect guard and the game isn't relied on it hate how so many people complain about it
