A brilliant concept, only need a brighter cob unit as well as daylight sunlight grabbing reflectors to really punch the lights effective range and voila a brilliant lightbar to rival the rest, as love these bars and want a amber variant for my range rover
I agree the Streethawk would be made so much better if they upgraded it using this technology. I've always liked the Streethawk bar and I used them back in the late 1980's when I worked security. Our Streethawk bars had green lenses and the takedown and alley lights were VERY bright.
The LAST of the mechanical light bars. This was the tip of the iceberg of the good old rotater bars. After this everything went pure LED. LED bars are a fraction of the cost, much brighter, and can do almost infinite pasterns and even imitate the rotating bars LOL!! But, nothing beats the flash and pattern of a rotating light.
I wish these type of light bars we're on my hometown's emergency vehicle's. Get 1 with Red/White Light's for Fire Vehicle's & 1 with Blue/White Light's for Police Vehicle's.
The 30 patterns shown fill most police requirements. But for the California market, can symmetrical color patterns also be accommodated, along with red IMPAXX HotFoots forward and SignalMaster aft (per 13 CCR 818)?
I want very much for FS to make a compact 360° magnet-mount LED beacon that uses the SpectraLux technology for red/white/blue patterns to all directions! This would be ideal for a POV or unmarked unit! Maybe a single-pod version of this that could do red/white/blue/amber, as well as directional flood lighting!
The Vision SLR is available with LEDs offered in Amber, Blue, Green, Red and White and Top-dome colors are offered in Amber, Blue, Clear, Green and Red. You can use our online configurator to build the bar you need: config.fedsig.com/lightbar/
NYPD uses, Slide position one is pattern three. Slide position two is not shown. But all rotators rotate at the same speed full 360. Slide position three is pattern six.
Unfortunately, these lightbars aren't worth the money they are totally useless in the bright sunlight,we have a department here that had 2 of these donated to them to try out and both cars were totaled out within a month of each other, going through intersections and you guessed it the other drivers said they didn't see the lights
spoda81 I would highly doubt that the lightbars were ineffective in bright sunlight. First off they meet all certifications which means they have been tested in bright sunlight among other conditions. Second, there are other factors that are likely the cause. I would look at the installation and programming to ensure everything was installed properly and functioning. I would look at the officers and ensure that they used their siren and properly cleared the intersection. Running lights and sirens doesn't absolve the officer / responder from wrong should they be involved in a collision. They still must drive with due regard. Most states will hold the officer / responder responsible if it is proven they "blew" the intersection. Lots of other variables in effect but I strongly doubt the lightbar is the cause of the collision. By the way, as someone who as investigated dozens of collisions involving emergency vehicles, the citizen will always say they didn't see or hear the emergency vehicle - no matter how bright the lights or loud the siren.
I don’t know, a lightbar that is a solution to an nonexistant problem. A waste of money in research. On the other side Federal has so many top other lightbars.
The problem DOES exist and always will. There will always be motorists who don’t see the lights, and crashes in intersections because of motorists not seeing the lights. This was a really good attempt, V-shape lightbar and a bright pop-flash, just not bright enough during the day. It’s pretty good during the night, but not the day.
I really would like to know why the SLR reflectors were designed with such a narrow window of effectiveness. I mean the light is concentrated in such a tight window that if you're anywhere above or below where that sweep of the rotator flashes the light it renders the light bar completely ineffective.
This is a great idea for a light bar that was poorly executed especially for off axis lighting these light bars are so dim and are not attention-getting in any way whatsoever that they actually act as a detriment to your safety and at $5,000 per bar they are completely useless and an absolute fail and federal signal should be disappointed at a job not well done when most of their other lighting equipment is excellent but the design of this SLR reflector is useless.
As a retired FF Engineer and Reserve Peace Officer, I still like keeping on new gear. This particular bar is very nice for fire trucks
Okay, whacker.
Now this is a cool lightbar. The Valor is still my favorite though.
A brilliant concept, only need a brighter cob unit as well as daylight sunlight grabbing reflectors to really punch the lights effective range and voila a brilliant lightbar to rival the rest, as love these bars and want a amber variant for my range rover
Idk if you ever saw these things in action, but these things are insanely bright.
The modern Vector. Impressive. The StreetHawk should have had a similar upgrade.

@@ComputerLearning0 I have a Street Hawk in my collection

I thought this was the latest technology, surpassing strobe’s.
This bar is LED. And does a fine job of creating the pop flash like a halogen rotator
This is LED. There is also the Navigator lightbar which has optional LED SLR rotators in addition to the flashijg modules.
It will have the person pull over by just confusing the heck out of them.
Las Vegas needs these, it's time to upgrade
nah
Whatchu talk about, we have these long time. Five years.
This is what Las Vegas metro uses
@dmaninthewall, integrity or valor would be nice.
These seem to be a repeat of the same patterns, just with different colors.
That looks super nice. I wish CHP would rock this.
Quelle progrès en rampe magnifique 👍👍😋
this are sweet!! i want this light bar
Ah yes pattern 8, classic cop car lighting.
Do you do recovery Amber and white with traffic advisor?
Looks great except when you see it in your rearview mirror. Lol
I wish these type of light bars we're on my hometown's emergency vehicle's.
Get 1 with Red/White Light's for Fire Vehicle's & 1 with Blue/White Light's for Police Vehicle's.
Wish I could still get one of these. I love these bars and the Valor. Great for Fire Police and parking on an angle.
The 30 patterns shown fill most police requirements. But for the California market, can symmetrical color patterns also be accommodated, along with red IMPAXX HotFoots forward and SignalMaster aft (per 13 CCR 818)?
Can you Order this modal in all Amber and white with a message board in the back and the hot foot set?
I wouldn't know which pattern to use. Chp would run themselves crazy with this toy
man, if they made this in a mini bar, or a 4 rotator bar like the oldschool ones, would look sick =)
configure a federal signal navagator with 4 SLR rotators and an unpopulated centre or 5 for a classic rotator streight bar
Film this outside on a sunny day
that's a good light bar
Nice desing
Chicago Fire has had issues with the effectiveness of these in the day light, not enough light.
CHP would love these lightbars but I think they're good with the new ones they have.
Metro in Vegas use these.
Cool lightbar, but we need a led model 14!
would it be possible to do a video that is out side in the sun and with all flash patterns in amber and green in it would be great thanks
Fuckin security bitch

@HEATHwillard37 Those colours cover most uses of a lightbar...
i can see why we use whelen, code 3 and soundoff
Federal signal, can i get the vision slr in amber and green

Is available in amber and green
Omg very impressive!!!!
Is it plastic or alum>?
1:23 this is just the NYPD light bar patter but with different color pods/lights
Which pattern does NYPD use anyone know?
NYPD uses,
Slide position one is pattern three.
Slide position two is not shown. But all rotators rotate at the same speed full 360.
Slide position three is pattern six.
Replace my 1999 vision with this one!
6 7 9 10 are nice.
I want one. I want one. I want one. LoL
cool
Didn't look very bright
Something about police lights that I cant quite explain to normal people..
oh its hella brighter than the sun

I agree with spoda81. I have seen these in bright daytime light. Left lots to be desired. Cool light. Just not highly eyecatching
They should at least have heard the siren.
Toppo belle

so kids, lets see you make something better
Boring

Just like any other rotator bar.
That is disappointing to find out. I really like how it looked.
