Awesome stand alone 5.8ghz setup on the Bugs 3 my friend :) i actually have 2 Eachine 600mw VTX that I bought a while back to fit to one of my quads, and watching this looks like I'll be modding my B3 with this setup also. Good info. I have one of those all-in-one cameras in the nose of my bugs 3. I like this mod better with 600mw of power. f.y.i. Bought a set of HeadPlay SE goggles on your recommendation and I very happy with them. :)
Nice job bro! I Put the guts of my bugs 3 on a custom 260mm frame w a 600mw vtx, it's even more fun now, next, night owl plus. Yes range sucks, but what a qreat bird!
Now if we can just get a all in one like this one with DVR quality camera video footage that would be cool - found one it’s a purple camera but it’s too big.

For anyone thinking about ordering the FPV stuff recommended in this video you might want to get it through Amazon instead of the link he's suggesting. Unfortunately I didn’t find out until after I went digging around trying to find a status on the order I placed that AKK is in china and everything not ordered through their Amazon store will be shipped via the typical slow boat from china. Since there’s no tracking on their orders and the emailed receipt they sent me has no purchased merchandise listed, it just says I sent them money but doesn't say what for, I won’t know for a month or more if I’m actually going to get anything for my money. Luckily I paid through PayPal so hopefully I have some protection but if I had known it would be the long wait for it to come from china I wouldn’t have ordered it!!!

@@RCEscape I just recieved my Akk A3 fpv cam, the feed has very strong signal, but one thing I noticed, is it normal that it gets hot.. any tips? Im using a 3.7v 300mah lipo with Lst connector..

Great video! I know the bugs 2 has a lot more range, but there has to be something wrong with your bugs 3 range. I have taken mine a A LOT farther than that and I have never got a "beep" from my transmitter.
awdturbo4 you wanna see disappointing range, check out my lemon of a replacement Bugs 8 I received.. Tx range beep at only 50m away and it even twitched mid air and dropped to the ground
I'm beginning to think that MJX have a bad batch of receivers or transmitters out there... maybe? Cause I have seen a few people with the same issue, but also LOTS and LOTS of people without that problem. Even flying higher and farther away than me. very weird... My transmitter is stock, the only thing I did was ...I pulled the stock antenna out (vertically), everything else is stock.
I was extremely disappointed with the B3 range. I had to add a 2W booster just to reach their claim/lie. Been flying it for 6 months with tx03, hundreds of flights, FF 7s camera. But will never trust MJX claims, esp for city flying.
Hey man, I was just thinking about where to put my 2watt booster I got some 6 months back or was it 3 months back...whatever.... so you getting about 400 meters with the booster at least?
RC Escape MJX claim was 300-500m stock. The booster in my signal polluted areas just barely gets me to that 300m. I'll get a beep warning, so haven't risked a drop pushing it. I have read that some 2W advertised boosters are really barely over 1W. I fly strictly LOS but use Eachine monitor for fpv, but can look up and always bring it back at that distance, so I wouldn't need more distance.

the AKK-KC02 is 600TVL....why is the AKK-KC03 with 800TVL cheaper?...witch one will you buy?....from what I know about cameras and I do not know much the AKK-KC03 looks as a better camera but it is Cheaper than the AKK-KC02.....please explain so I learn another thing here is you know.....you are making me buy even more cameras...please stop...hahahaha
I just took a look at the kc03 and this one does not have the controller that comes with the kco2 the kco2 can be mounted on a racer frame with the mounting hardware or just by itself with two screws. that looks like the differences of the two. lol :)
I just have the BUGS 3 now...what is the controller? do you have any ideas... The BUGS 2C after maybe 40 flights it started to do the flip for no reason at all and crash...on the third flip and crash it broke one of the arms, but i am not going to change the body because it will only start to fall out of the sky for no reason...so i am stuck with it as is....i did not have much luck with it as mine arrived with a broken camera and now the flipping..anyway thank you again for all your help
Thank you for explaining but i am not fully sure what you mean, but i decided to take a gamble and to buy the AKK-KC03 and hopefully it will be plug and play like on the one you have.....thank you for your help and if you can talk to the MJX factory and tell them about my trouble with the bugs 2c it will help me out....it takes off and after 5-7 minutes and flips and falls...that is what it happened and the 3rd time it broke...

I would always go with the akk a3. Amazon prime. Gets to you in 2 days. Return capable.

That is normal for a vtx. All vtx gets hot. So long as you are flying with wind cooling it down it's all good.

I've been getting more that 6 minutes I believe....I've been flying it with a 750mah 3s and I get around 6-7 minutes.

The controller is the cable with the joy stick so to change the camera parameters.
