RC Escape Man I like being able to switch into acro but I like this mid size Bugs 3 for modding long range FPV and camera work. What are your thoughts on the Bugs 8 pro 3s?
Awe man....The Bugs 8 pro to me is definitely a pass. What they need to do with these acro switchable versions is to have it be able to connect to betaflight so we can fine tune them because the stock tune is just not that great. The acro mode in the mini is a lot better than the 8 pro but it aint that great either not like what we are used to with the likes of KK ET series for example. There's a coupon code for the bugs 3 on the top of this comment section if you want the bugs 3 instead of the mini :)
Nice flying, very smooth👍. I’m experimenting with mounting a SQ11 cam on my Bugs3, but all I get is a lot of jello and vibrations. Already changed the props and soft mounted the cam, with no luck. Any ideas?
bert beinaaf I was still having a bit of vibrations on mine too and my props are sort of used up and needs to be replaced but you shouldn't have too much shaking... did you check the lens of the camera to see if it is loose?
RC Escape It’s a Quelima SQ11 camera, so I can’t adjust the lens. I ordered another type of props to see if that will do the trick. And I’m going to try the SQ11 on my good old JJRC H98 to check if the camera is the problem instead of the bugs. The H98 is a very smooth and quit quad

Bugs 3 is BOSS! Turning in between those tree's swiftly. I got to try it my brotha. Question? Did you do it with VR Goggles? Or just FPV? I'm thinking you can have better Orientation from using the VR Goggles, but please let me know how you fly your Bugs between those tree's without hitting them. Was this the footage from the FPV camera or did you have action camera mounted underneath? Either way it was a great flight from the the King of FPV flying.
My blomiky c5820 FPV camera that was made for the bugs 3 laughed when it saw the range you got. It was like hell naw dude! So how did you get such good FPV range?
RC Escape I may have to look into that! I fixed the camera antenna so it's mounted vertically hoping that might help some. I have a circular cloverleaf on my goggles so it can't be on the receiving end. Guess we'll see.
RC Escape I actually have great range on the bugs but the c5820 gets me maybe 150 meters if I'm lucky so I need better range to truly enjoy flying it around FPV. Also I'm just not confident that it won't drop signal at a moment's notice.
RC Escape I use only 2s batt, but second ESC is burn out. May be you know, where I could buy spare ESC first revision (v01)? I search it on aliexpress,bangoohd, but it sell only new revision(v10).
Dou people at the park get mad or irritated at you for flying in a public space? Have you ever had a close call with your quad and a stranger? I see some fpv videos in cities and closed areas where innocent people could get hurt, is that a rare thing? I live on an acre and so do all the neighbors so I don't have much room, unless I fly over neighbors' yards, and I don't want to violate their space or accidentally crash through their window. What is common etiquette for flying over other peoples property? I guess I'll just have to stay in my yard, how boring.
Great flight and video - adds to my current feeling that the original Bugs 3 is all I want and need for out door flying at the moment.

try mounting it closer to the body and more towards the center of gravity of the quad.

Bugs 3 is the best quadcopter under 100 $. But it has one problem: ESC is burned often.
Just don't use 3s batts. I've had mine since it came out :)
