I see some youtube mechanics and Honda experts in here, so here we go. That is a D-Series, probably D16Y8, VTec engages at 4800 RPM while a B16A2 engages at 5500 RPM, doesnt scream like a B-Series, redline is at about 7200 while the B16A2 is at 8300, that car doesnt even have the acceleration of a B16A2. About the short gearing, B16A2, D16Y8,Z6,Z9, etc, its EXACTLY the same. I am talking by experience, as a former Civic ESI D16Z6 owner and owner of a VTI B16A2.
I had a D15 (non-vtec) with lightweight flywheel, knife edged crank, Skunk2 plenum, CAI and full header, no cat and Crower springs and retainers... it seemed way nastier than that. Even with all those mods I'm sure the B16 is still putting it to shame. No way that's a B16.

My old bone stock 5 speed d16y8 engaged vtec at 5,500rpm stock... no tune. Nothing.
and the gearing of b and d are by far not the same, get your facts right man..

It's definitely not a D15Z6, so my guesses are, it's a D16Z6, because based on the sound it's clearly SOHC..
it has to be a b16 the d series rev limiters dont go to 9

This engine i use b16a auto gearbox.. And i convert the gearbox to manual gearbox.. This engine are stok auto.. Just convert gearbox manual..

omfg its not. B16a SIR I is 8100, B16a SIR II is 8200, B16b redlines at 8400 and fuel cut at 8600, stock. Where the fuck do you get your info.
A b16b stops making power at 8400 rpm but it will rev to 9000 on a stock ecu
