    37:01 when you tag in your lab rats you have to take the same position of the tagged out lab rat. The melee/ranged is only for initial position in round 1

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      So in the situation you timestamped, you are correct. I forgot that if the Lab Rat survives the round, the new Lab Rat takes their same spot.
      However, if the tagging out Lab Rat is defeated in the interim, the new Lab Rat CAN go on any matching starting location, since the old one isn't on the map anymore. That's the part that confused me here. Sorry for the error!

    At the beginning of the video, I had no idea what was going on. By the end I sort of figured out that you’re supposed to roll dice?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha, sorry about that. Like I said at the start, this is the third video we’ve done for the game, featuring the newest and most complex expansion.
      You should really watch either of our previous playthroughs. They explain set up and rules in much greater detail.

    Whoa... I don't think I've seen this game played sooooo fast... I enjoy it at a slower pace but i'm sure if you were not filming you would've slowed down a bit. Great example of how to use S&D expansion during a game. Thanks Mike!

      Sorry! I sometimes edit a little too aggressively. But don’t worry, my footage for most recordings is 2-3 times as long as the final video, so I wasn’t ACTUALLY this fast ;)

    1:04:32 you didn't take out the special abilities, you stunned every 5 point baddie or less with horn of the zerker

      @OneStopCoopShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha, good call on that one. Got distracted by the similar symbols. Maybe stunning everyone would have been better for me :)

    I know this is an old vid, sorry for the late callback, I'm just getting into these games.
    At ~48:50 you move the dragons initiative until after your unit, but then proceed with the next unit. Does he not now get to go a second time?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think a given unit can activate more than once per round, even if their die gets moved in its order.

    I really want to like this game, but I feel like the battle board and stacks of chips abstracts it out a bit too much. Wish I had a friend I could borrow it from to try it out.

      Not sure how you feel about online gaming, but there are some mods on TTS that will let you get your feet wet. Though that is definitely NOT the best way to play. Dealing with stacks of chips online is a little odd :)

      @Daniel Halladay I just got TMB a couple of weeks ago so I hear what you're saying, but I don't feel like anything is lost. Somehow it actually makes battles more engaging bc it becomes a very hands-on and tactile experience. I don't really know how else it could be done though. You certainly wouldn't want to use pencil and paper because you're constantly taking away and adding health to individual baddies and gearlocks not to mention things coming and going from the Battle Que. I wouldn't want to use dice either bc the HP stacks are all over the place so you'd have D6s, D12s etc and be messing with finding the correct face every single action (plus, this game doesn't need MORE dice to manage). I wouldn't want a bunch of minis with HP cubes because that's just going to make an already expensive and over-produced game cost even more. I think the chip stacks provide a good visual indicator of HP; the bigger (taller) the stack, the stronger the unit. It is actually a simple approach that keeps you from having to micromanage HP tracking which leaves you more time to enjoy the game.

    1:02:25 you should have moved tantrum first next to the Baddie using one of your 6 dexterity

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did a moment later. Just a camera mistake.
      If you're wondering why i was rolling 6 dice after moving once, the 1 defense die was free from the shield.

  • @henriqueribeiro4954
    @henriqueribeiro4954 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    34:13 I think you could not Roll dices with Tantrum without a valid target
    1-Move
    2- Select target adjacent for melee
    3- Roll Dice

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are somewhat correct. If you cannot select a target (if you are a melee gearloc with no one adjacent), you cannot roll ATTACK dice or Skill Dice that have a Target effect.
      But in this case, I rolled only defense dice, a defensive ability with no target (like a Kobold), and the horn which also doesn't need a specific target. So this was a valid roll.

    • @henriqueribeiro4954
      @henriqueribeiro4954 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OneStopCoopShop ow good to know! Thanks for that. Like a Wolf its considering a target dice? Or the sheet need say "target"

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@henriqueribeiro4954 see if any of the effects say "target". In the case of Like a Wolf, it hangs out as a defensive ability until someone hits you, so you can still roll it.
