I use the power bleeder the same way you do because of the slight mess and the wasted fluid left in the bottom. I feel once the fluid leaves the original container, it doesn’t go back!
I didn't shoot one... Brad, Marco, Summit 4x4 and Centerforce all shot videos and I just went along and enjoyed the trip.... it was kind of awesome. I'll shoot more adventures soon!
Hi Mr. Auto edit been watching your how to videos on the jeep for couple of years now and they are awesome. Have you had an issue with the clutch pedal getting stiff and squeaking? And how did you solve the issue? Thanks
I don’t know if you seen my last message but how about doing a review on the Baxter oil filter adapter? I’d really like to hear what you have to say about it.
It's on my list to try but will have to wait a bit since there's been a bit of maintenance happening across vehicles over the last few months. I appreciate the suggestion and am interested in the Baxter unit.
I recently bought a much cheaper system which i was happy about, but before using it I decided to trash it and get this pump kit from your Amazon page. The one I got was from Harbor Freight and is designed to use a compressed air tank to create a vacuum at the brakes and suck the fluid out instead of it being pushed like this video shows. It worried me that the negative pressure may collapse the brake lines, and there didn't seem to be a way to regulate how fast the fluid would flow. I was too nervous to even risk it. Money wasted. Not the first time, unfortunately won't be the last. Thanks again for another awesome video showing us how to take care of our Jeeps!! AutoEdits wins again!
I really dig these bones nitrile gloves... they don't cause me any problems and when dealing with slimy junk like brake fluid and handling my cameras... they save my equipment. 👍
@AutoEdits I can see the reason why you wear them and many others. Every time I try to wear gloves, I make more mistakes because I just can't feel the small screws and end up losing them. I think your gloves are cool.
I’ve been using the motive bleeder for 5+ years now. It’s used on all my family vehicles. I remember your wife helped hold the brake pedal in your last brake fluid video. Hope she is doing well.
Nice to hear from you and thanks for the call back to those fun older videos and the thoughts to my wife... she left a few years ago so it's just me around here now.
it was throwing me off a bit seeing you use the motive bleeder that way. I mean you could just discard any left over "new fluid" in the Motive at a recycle center and save the hassle of constantly topping off the brake reservoir, its cheap enough to not have to worry about a little extra left over... To each his own 🤷♂
It's not just the leftover fluid in the tank but the inevitable overflow at the reservoir. If I were a service tech and did this all the time... sure, fill that thing to save time. But taking literally 4 extra minutes for the whole flush isn't really a big deal to me in my garage 👍
@@AutoEdits Picked up the one out of your Amazon store. And my 2017 JKUR, with factory fluid, is showing 2.0. I tested several times, and once it read a bit higher, but 2.0 seemed to be the average.
Howdy everyone! Thanks for watching and being an active part of this community! 🤘
Oh no Jason, how could you do this to me. First my battery and now my brake fluid!? At least I have your guide now! 😂
Ha! But you'll have such a well maintained Jeep!
Nice walk through. Gotta admit that California undercarriage/wheel wells has me jealous!
I really appreciate it on all my vehicles!!!
Oh jeah so jealous!

I agree!
That's the rule, contaminating is to much of a risk here. The filled reservoirs are more for the professional user who may do a couple of cars a day
I have a squeal from my powerstop big brake upgrade on the same wheel, did this fix your issue? Great explanation, will have to change my fluid soon!
It sure did!
Work on my Jeep....
Great Video, very informative ... Thank You
Glad it was helpful!
Boss, saw you on Brad from TrailRecon video. Coming out with your version?

I haven't had any issues with my clutch yet (thank goodness) Maybe later this year I'll explore an upgrade to the whole clutch system... we'll see.

Seeing all your scratches on your car doesn't make me feel so bad about my one scratch made by some crack head in NYC.
Sorry to hear your scratch happened in the city and not on the trail... but they are Jeeps!
Be honest, your scratched up calipers are triggering you, aren't they? =D
Yes, they make me a little itchy 🤣
Cool! I"ve been wanting to do that for a while. Thanks for the video!!!🤙
Go for it!

AWESOME!!!
I was about do a flush in a couple of days. Just waiting on the same power bleeder.
Good luck! Have fun!
👌
I never use gloves. I can't feel what I'm doing with gloves. I do use plenty of rags lol

@@AutoEdits Sorry to hear that brother, you're part of the fam in this house.
My prayer has been answered. I was going to follow your big brake kit video and now I can follow this too!
Thanks so much Jeepin Jason
You can do it!
Another classic.
Thanks!
Glad to see you Jason.
Glad to be seen... thank you!

Bought one of those bleeders years ago, paid for itself many times over.
Now you tell me 🤣
Can you please add the link the Motive pressure bleeder since there are many models.

My JK is 7 years old now, and its likely in need of having this done. I think I will grab one of those little testers to find out :)
Let me know how it works out for ya!

Great video!! I love the magnet on the frame trick!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank You… Has been on my to do list, and now even more so 👍
Right on!
Your jeep has ABS correct? Do you not have to anything special to flush the ABS system when you flush your brakes?
You only need to activate the ABS pump if you get air bubbles in there. Otherwise the system bleeds like normal.
Thank you. Now that you said that, I think I remember you saying that in the video.
Great video!! You never disappoint.
I appreciate that!
Love your videos. We need more of them! :)
Thanks, I'll keep trying 👍
Love it another great one Jason!
Thanks again!
I love your presentation of the information.
Thank you!
@@AutoEdits Your straight to the point, and you'r easy fun style is why I have watched your channel for a long time.
