wait, you don't have to take the bumper off!! I mean, you just take the grill off and you can access all the screws. Unless I missed something when i had mine apart I think I put the bumper cover on before the lights? I can't remember. pretty sure you can keep the bumper on.

Both of the day time running lights turn on when I start the car and they stay on like they're supposed to. But when I turn on the headlights. The driver side daytime running lights goes off, while the passenger side day time running lights stays on. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks for the video.
Yes they are. Every time the car is on the DRLs are on. If the headlight are on or off, the DRLs are still on. They are actually so bright, if you have the headlights off at night, in a neighborhood, you can still see 😂

@@posturesonparade I read the same. I wanted to update the look of my car but wanted actual DRLs and those only come on when the light is on. You think they would be able to figure out how to make it work properly 🤷🏼♂️
@@MTParadise yeah, they’re wired as parking lights- so technically with my fog light euro switch I could control that separately but I don’t want to have to do that every time I start my car! I agree, they should’ve worked that kink out! Lazy aftermarket headlamps...
Hi I just upgrade to projector headlight same as you. After completion the yellow bulb sign pops up. However all the lights are working. Please let me know if you have an answer
That’s weird. I had something like that happen to be when trying out different LED taillight bulbs. With my headlights I never had that come up. Essentially since it’s not an OEM part from VW, if the voltage flowing through it is not the same, the car might think the light is blown. When I was using the taillights, I just ignored it until a while later I replaced them with something else then the light went away

How bright are the DRLs in the day? Do they get washed out? I've seen some aftermarket headlights for a mk6 jetta and some of them don't even look like DRLs are on in the day.
I’m just a little worried on the bumper,is it really as easy as u made it look,n also I have the lights on the bumper that turn on when I make turns ,I wonder if I can just let the bumper hang some instead of removing it

The front bumper slides into and overtop of the bottom trim of the headlights. Without removing the bumper, you won’t be able to slide the headlight out
Yeah I looks like the clear ones are sold out however there are some with a black internal housing and another with tint. I just added a few more links to the other ones that are the same. They are around $260 for the pair and mine are still working great
Man, sweet video! I had white lights on my OEM halogen headlights I had previously added, would I be able to swap those into these new headlights? Do they take the same type of lights as the original headlights that come with the car?

There will be a little opening and inside is a little tab. The screw driver goes in and under the tab lifting it up. You can use a flash light and look in there to see the tab.

The bottom of the headlights have a trim that hangs down that the bumper slides into and on top of.

Oh that’s weird 🤔 luckily I haven’t had that issue. When I turn the headlights on, both DRL go to about half power but both are still on.

They are actually super bright. You can see them really well during the day and at night the DRLs could be used as headlights lol

It was pretty easy to take off. There will be a few additional screws on the underside but it’s pretty easy.
How's the high beam on them? I'm wanting to get these but I need to know how good the high beams are. Do they project far down the road?

It did but the stock headlights had a halogen bulb that wold act as the day time running but these added the LED day time running

You don’t have to remove the bumper though. You can literally pull it out after unbolting

At night time when you unlock it with the key will the headlights come. On when you unlock it
When I unlock it at night, the daytime running lights came on for about 15ish seconds

I just unplugged the old connection and plugged the in new light connection. There wasn’t anything additional than that
what do you do once the led daylight lights burn out?
They are LED and don’t burn out for a very long time, that’s why they are LED. Honestly they’ll probably last longer than the car at this point lol

I’m having a hard time lowering the lens so I’m not blinding others.. also the LED DRL flicker slightly. Has anyone else had these issues?
I used a screw driver but it was pretty firm. As for the DRL flickering, I’ve never seen that. Maybe the connection is loose or not fully clicked in

The bumper goes over the trim on the bottom of the headlight. But good luck
Bumper does not have to come off…
It covers the lower part of the headlights and actually hooks into them so it unfortunately does have to in order to replace the headlights
I get tired of videos like this saying you can use a screwdriver to pop off a connector, but don't show where to push, pry or whatever. Ugh!
