you're a bit of a sharepoint master! Ive spent the last 48 hrs trying to learn it, you make it look so easy.. i actually thought it was all coding, but as you show it neednt be. Still interested how you do dynamic stuff though given that you have done so many intranet sites you must also use visual studio code for advanced functionality right?
Excellent tutorial! I like your method of adding text before images in the text web part. I’ve found if I add images first (which I tend to do as a visual person), getting text to wrap or align correctly afterwards can be really challenging. Your method seems much more reliable.
Awesome!! I loved your channel, the visual identity and this UI point of view that you're showing are unique, I don't see any channel that do that !!! An contribution to your tutorial; I think we can implement some scrolling effects that when you scrolls it will take you to fixed points (like scroll snapping or CSS Scroll Snap) -but this will need some hardcoding and SPfx
Thanks so much; I try hard to achieve just that, so I really appreciate you saying that! Great suggestion, I could think of some really cool way to use that, but! Have you any examples of this. Would love to see it in action or work with you to experiment!
I have used your UI concept and started creating an intranet site but one issue I am facing is the Images are all "clickable".. (which is just ridiculous from Microsoft). even when you don't add a link all images are hyperlinked and when clicked just show a bigger image. I have not found any option to Turn that off and looks like MS has taken up this feedback and will be rolling out a "fix" sometime in the future (no one knows when). any suggestions on how to handle this issue or any work around? (PS: this was fine within the text webpart and those images were not "clickable" by default but ironically MS has changed that too sometime in the last year or so and now everything is the same)
Hi @imrantahir1687, Sorry for the delay in coming back to you (I was away on vacation and promised myself I wouldn't think about SharePoint! 😉). I know what you are saying. Good news though, a way to get around this would be as follows... you need to use the 'Markdown' web part to add the image. Here are the steps: 1. Upload your image to your site and grab the link 2. Add the 'Markdown web part to wherever you want the image to appear 3. Here is the syntax for adding images in Markdown as provided by MS [Contoso](www.contoso.com/)![Alt text](Contoso.png) 4. So... say I want to display a non clickable image on my page, and the link to it (which I got from step 1) is 'A365.sharepoint.com/myimage.png' 5. I would use the following []()![Alt Text](A365.sharepoint.com/myimage.png) 6. Leaving the first 2 parentheses blank ensures there is no link behind the image Give that a go and you should be all set! Hope this helps (and Microsoft doesn't catch on and change it! 😝 Dan 🤟
Hey, sorry for the delay in coming back to you on this. The menu is the site navigation menu. I have set it to the 'Minimal' layout (do this by clicking the 'cog' icon and clicking 'Change the look' and then 'Header'). I have also set the site title to be hidden and used the apple logo as the site icon and thumbnail. That should get you the look I have demo'd. Let me know if I am missing anything!
Brilliant - I have never come across anything so good on SharePoint design. Thanks

Cheers Chas! Oh the plight of the visual thinker! 😉
Excellent tutorial and the end result looked really good. Will give this a try. many thanks.

Beautiful job! You made that look really easy, but some great ideas here! Thanks for the inspo and tips!
Hi Nadine! Thanks for the comment, really glad you found this one useful!

Really good - have to use the Text Webpart more often
Absolutely, a versatile ingredient in any SharePoint page recipe 😁
