  • In this video, we are looking at how we can take the standard dynamic filtering user experience and turn it into a fantastic user experience for your SharePoint Online Intranet 🙌
    👨‍💻 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
    • What Dynamic Filtering is
    • What's wrong with the user experience it provides
    • How to use it to create a top-class user experience
    • How to use ChatGPT to create custom JSON list view layouts (no coding experience required)
    🎯 WHY WATCH
The purpose of this video is to demonstrate how you can take a poor, out-of-the-box user experience and transform it into something truly amazing. I will walk you through the build of this dynamic filtering list solution and show you how I use ChatGPT to help me create JSON formatting code without the need to know a single thing about it! 😁

I have now been through 'Filtering DONE RIGHT' three times ... SLOWLY , i.e. ...play ... pause ... rewind ... play ... pause ... rewind. The video is a wonderful tutorial ... really good work.
A request please: prepare a Part 2 in which you walk through the steps to set up and edit the "Learn More" page.
Thank you ... very much appreciated.

Very useful tips. I never fully cracked the json code, now I don’t have to 😊

I’ve done this a few times on past projects, but could never get the click behavior turned off on the cards for the info panel. Thank you for such a great walk through full of gems like that!

This is great thanks. Can you have multiple filter lists which filter the main list? For example a category like you have in your McDonalds scenario and add another filter list with Beef, Chicken and Vegetarian. Then you could select Burgers in Category filter list and then Vegetarian in filter list 2, showing fish burgers, or Chicken to get Chicken Mayo and McCrispy etc……. I have this type of scenario now and this would be perfect and I can’t see it in your course which I’m 3/4 way through and really enjoying. Thank you 👍

Great video! How did you manage to place a filter on the secondary page with the chips (8:24)?
Does each product have a page and views for each one? Or is there a way to make just one page that is filtered based on a parameter?

    • @Academy365-Dan
      @Academy365-Dan  16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

Hi! The chips page is just a regular site page, so there would be a dedicated site page per menu Item. You're spot on with the set up 👍... I set up a list called nutritional info and aligned it with each product (or at least that's what I would have done if I had the time). Then, within that list I would have had a view per product. Then, I created a seperate list of sizes (SML MED LRG) which I used to dynamic filter on the page.

For some reason im still having a hard time getting the buttons to not open a secondary page

figured out the issue, turns out you have to mention to chatGPT that you want the contents and the card all to not open external links or be set to defaultClick
