Cool video, Steve. I always wondered how those digital antennas work. Now I know. Looks like a good option for those who don't have a wi-fi connection.
There is no such thing as a digital TV antenna. Antennas are just pieces of metal that pick up certain frequencies. One can make an antenna with just a coax cable and loop it around a chair. It works if you have strong TV signals.
That blue border round your thumbnails really set it off. Only have one other sub that has that. Very cool.

Great video. Spent 45 mins with Samsung support and we never looked at running the setup program. Will try tomorrow. Q. Once I set up over air can I use WIFI with over aid antenna?
WiFi will not help the antenna, what issues do you have anyways?
Steve I really hope you could help me out I have an indoor outdoor antenna I want to put in the Attic and hook to 2 65 inch Samsung one is a 1080 and the other is a 2160 and the third TV is a 65 inch Panasonic I want to go Wi-Fi through my modem then router then over the air how can I do that when the router and modem are in the living room and I want the antenna in the Attic your help would ever so be grateful IF YOU COULD HELP ME OUT THANK YOU
Thank you, Tech Steve! I'm planning on getting the new 55" Samsung OLED TV for Mom's 84'th B-day. She decided to cut her costs and cut the cable! She now is just using her Roku via Wi-Fi and it's buffering. My plan is do away with the Roku and download the Roku Channel app. She'll be able to stream with no buffering (I'm sure it's the current Roku that's the cause - she's paying for 500Mbps, so...). She'll then have access to Samsung TV Plus as well! Finally, I'll get the antennae setup following your video. She is in Capitola. That's 30 minutes north of Monterey and 45 minutes south of San Jose. I'm hoping she'll get a good number of channels. Any advice, please let me know. Thank you!
Cool! Steve.. just to be clear. If I go with over the air channels only and no Wi-Fi then & I don’t have access to Netflix Hulu and Prime Video which requires internet service?.. and can I stream educational children channels like ABC Mouse & Homer Reading System?

Just setting it up and will have to run the setup program to incorporate the antenna. My question is after I do that can I then add WiFi back in to take advantage of the free programming that comes with the tv?

No, it doesn’t have a sat receiver in it.
I live in the Detroit area so there should be lots of over the air channels however I have tried 3 different antennas (two digital and one rabbit ear) and zero channels are coming up. What the heck am I doing wrong?? I do have a Roku connected...could that have something to do with it? Help!
It could be the location of your home or you have a older 1080p that doesn’t have the digital tuner.

Please enlighten me! Is the above mentioned device that comes with modern Tvs (Q60A etc) is a necessary device? Does it make any difference? I left my Coaxial Cable plugged in directly to my Samsung Tvs Coaxial port without the Adapter.
Doing some research on S.4K.S.TV. If I set up WIFI streaming 1st will I be able to add attenna channels after & go back & forth to view? Most important, which HDTV indoor antenna brand do you recommend?

I figured out how to set up the antenna on my Samsung TV & I can switch from streaming channels to atenna via the home page.
(in general, setting up an antenna sounded complicated but it was pretty straight forward). I went with a Winegard indoor antenna.
I think they are mixed in, but it’s been awhile since I looked

Tech Steve, after setting up the antenna to you Samsung TV, if I wanted to add WiFi, could I do that and also go back and forth the the antenna? Thank you.
It will be listed under Samsung TV plus once you connect the WiFi and go thru the wizard. It uses that to get the guide updates
So If I already had the tv using wifi. How do I set up antenna then? Or do I have to reset the whole tv and antenna before doing so?? Because at the moment the broadcast option to scan the channels is grayed out and I’m assuming because the tv is connected to the internet.
I like using both the streaming apps and the over the air channels

The truth is - There is NO such thing as a 4K attena - Its possible to recieve HD signals but you will NOT get 4K resolution - ABC NBC FOX and CBS doesn't even broadcast in 4K
I hooked mine up with atena but now it’s saying tv plus what’s that because didn’t do that at first. Channels keep freezing guess maybe because of weather??

Nu6900, antenna. "Broadcast" is grayed out for me, after scanning for channels. Idk why.
Try to press the house on the remote and press source make sure TV plus has a check box

Ok, so my TV is already hooked to the wifi. How do I switch that off, so I can access the device plugged in the coaxial on the tv?
Same problem/question. Every "solution" I see involves screens that just don't come up on my tv.
Figured it out! Under "settings" go to the very end of tge list to "all settings" and select "broadcast." Then choose auto program and "air"
I feel like the antenna port is placed awkwardly smh. I'm having issues installing mine to my tv..why couldn't the port be set up straight out on the back 😒
Hard to mount to the wall if it was stuck straight out.

I live in a area where there’s plenty of strong signals, I have no Idea about your area because I don’t live there. If you’re not getting signal it’s where you live.
