Just bought this TV today and I appreciate your professional knowledge. Glad I didn't completely mess up haha. I got it for 430. Not too bad in my mind. But I'll definitely be checking out what you have to say about any other electronics I am considering buying. Keep up the good work bro!!
it's $359 right now at best buy. so you think it's worth getting? i'm usually a sony guy but this is like $100 cheaper than the sony in the same price range. edit: it's $359 for the 50 inch, which is probably as big as i need, any bigger might be too big for my room.
i just always loved the way the colors and picture look more natural on sonys. i've seen other tvs where the colors are so overly bright they make real life look like a cartoon almost, just don't as natural. i miss my old sony, but sadly they don't make em like that anymore.
The CU7000 is essentialy the exact same as the AU7100/AU7000. Differences is the on the C model you have the Gaming hub and the new tizen operating system. Same body and exact same screen
Yesterday, 6/11/24, I bought the 55" DU7200. I currently have a 40" Samsung that isn't even 4K and after 4 years I decided to upgrade it to something bigger and in 4K. Right out of the box, when I turned on the power from the remote, I could hear music but there was just a black screen. I called Samsung and they had me try to unplug it for 30 seconds. This did not work and in the end they told me to simply return it. So I'm back to my 40" set. I didn't want to try again because the TV was heavier than I thought and just getting it out of the box was exhausting. If I ever do this again, I'll have it delivered.
Yup, my Samsung 50-inch of 20 years broke yesterday mid-day. I went to BB and picked this 65 inch for $399 set it up in 45min although I had to improvise cuz I did not have a big furnurture stand for it- But the great thing it was $399 the kids are happy the wife is happy with it- Done,Done. Today now I'm learning hey it's an ok tv. Thx for the video.
Thanks Steve... I think the optimal word here as you stated is "The Average Consumer". Most people will be more than pleased with this purchase. I think that covers more than 80% of the average consumers. And lets be honest, most people, probably more than 90%, are not looking to spend more than $500-600 for a 55 inch tv. Having said that, I believe a tv like this checks "most" of the boxes for persons looking to coming home from work, putting on news, checking out a movie on a streaming app etc....
I’m debating this vs the 8000 for my parents. Basic TV users. They won’t want to spend all that much. 65” model is 500 at Walmart while the 8000 65” is 630.

I bought this 43" model yesterday, got it home and the set-up was going fine . . . until I got to the 'set up account' page. Of course, I missed the "skip" option in the upper right corner . . . and spent almost two hours trying to set up the account I didn't want . . . it rejected the email I put in . . . rejected my password, etc. I never got the account set up . . . and I boxed up the tv to return it because I'm apparently too stupid to use it. In looking over your video and a couple of others, I FINALLY noticed the "skip" option on the account set-up page. I'm getting ready to unbox it and try again. Hoping all the crap I put in (emails, birth date, etc) won't make it hard for me to go back to the very beginning and start the process again. Sigh. It's hell being an old fart.
Hi. Great channel. I have recently purchased a Samsung 43cu7100 in the uk. The retailer lists it as a 60hz refresh rate yet other retailers list it as a 50hz panel. How can the same tv be listed as two different refresh rates. I'm confused.

Hey Tech Steve, I just purchased the TU7000 from Costco last week only to find this model (CU7000D) on the shelf yesterday. I’m still within their 90 day return window, from my eyes, these two seem to be basically the same, but I want to know your perspective, is the picture quality on this identical to the TU7000?
Quick update for anyone else that may be curious, I went back to my local Costco and I was able to compare the TU7000(D) with the CU7000(D)-the black levels seem to be a bit better on the CU7000, of course this would be no comparison against any mini led or OLED model, but for a backlit LED, the difference was enough for me to switch and go with the CU7000.
@@tonystewart6856 Sure Tony. I finally got done mounting my CU7000 yesterday and I am pleased with it. After shopping around I noticed the TU8000 wasn’t on the market anymore so I reluctantly settled on TU7000. Fortunately, they had both models on display right next to each other so I was able to do a light comparison, first thing I noticed-the black levels on the CU7000 were better than the TU7000, basically it’s as if they used the better image from the 2020 TU8000. Since I was still in the return window, I decided to take the TU7000 back and go for the CU7000. I’m completely happy with it. Steve, how do get to view my cctv security cameras on my cu7000 tv?
It doesn’t work that way only HDMI
Will CU7000 work with CU8000 remote? Especially the voice input commands (by pressing the mic button) ?
No mic feature
Hello Steve. New subscriber. Thanks for what you do..Question. I bought a 70/75". How do I get both Tvs to share my same video settings in sync? And why does Netflix change my video settings? Thanks in advance. Be well!
Did you ever get to compare it to the CU8000? Would you say the picture quality is the same or better on that?
Thanks for the info!
Not yet
I didn’t see a microphone on the remote. Is there another way to “speak” to the TV? Your video was great! Thanks!
Does this TV have Chromecast built in?
No it’s Tizen OS not Google
@@TechSteve ok thank you, and would the Tizen OS typically be easier and more user-friendly to where I wouldn't need to use Chromecast?
Great video. We just purchased the 2023 Samsung CU7000 TV. We wanted to mount the TV where we had the last one but found out we cannot use the same screws. What kind of screws do we need?
I showed on the video when I showed the back m9
Just got my 85” for $1100 pretty happy with it!
Still happy with it? How's the quality? Thinking of pulling the trigger tomorro on the exact same model and size
^ their 900 now
Yep. Got my 85" for the Super Bowl for $900. Awsome tv.
How weak is crystal ? I purchased it but I’m deciding wether to return it or not, bc someone did tell me it was weaker than glass and that even if you tap it it would break, but here I can see he put the tv facing down
I doubt samsung would build something that fragile
How do you get to live tv? I have direct tv but can’t find live tv
DTV has there own live TV, if you’re using an antenna you have to click on the Samsung TV plus then go into the settings under broadcast and scan for channels
Was really hoping to find out how to use voice for the search. No mic button :( What is is this, 2012?!?! Any ideas? Thanks, Steve.
You have to buy the cu8000 for the voice remote
What is difference from cu7000b?
I prefer not to have a smart tv if you do not use the smart part how good is the tv just being a plain tv?
It’s a smart TV, i wish it was that easy.
I use my Samsung Smart TV, 2018 model, as a non-Smart TV by not connecting it to the internet. I connect it to our Dish TV receiver for tv stations. When I want to stream a movie from the internet, I use my connected Apple TV device. Both connect to the tv via HDMI.
I did not connect to Wi-Fi my husband only watches dish tv is Samsung 7000
I've decided that this is all the TV my inlaws need (in their 70s/80s). Steve, do you know if the mounting screws are M6 or M8?
M8
Good morning 🌞

Hey Steve ! I have a question. If I wasn’t into gaming and I just wanted a nice big tv at this price, (I would be using cable), just to watch regular tv, would you get the CU7000 or the CU8000? I’m torn between the two, but it seems that the CU7000 would be better? Help I need your advice ! Thank you!
Working on that video now, I’m trying to get it done tomorrow or Wednesday

Steve, I would like to get a clarification if the BN59-01315A Remote that you had in the video will work with the CU7000 series tv. If it dose , will all of the features of the remote work with the CU7000? Thank you Scott Stephens
It will work but no extra features
Hows the nighthawk with online gaming?
It’s an extender so if your speeds are good it’s great for everything in other rooms far from your main router
