@@NorthcoasterHobby gladly! 👍🏽
But I need a better amplified antenna!
The one I have is just picking up 6 channels. Have trees all around this place. Need to install an outdoor setup pointed into an open area.
@@davidmazza8714 Yes, definitely try to place the antenna away from trees or other obstructions and facing away from the broadcast tower. Generally, a larger antenna with more elements will work better than a smaller antenna. Approximately how far away from the broadcast towers are you situated?
@@NorthcoasterHobby I’m new to this area, I’ll find out!
@@NorthcoasterHobby approximately 6 miles away from my house and on a hill 400/500’ high.
I don't have air or cable I have satellite and freesat and terrestrial please help I only have rv plus
Terrestrial is Air.
I'm wanting freeview. On my sansung tv in bedroom but can't get on tv in lounge which was double the price
Is there an antenna connected to the lounge TV?
@@NorthcoasterHobby I've fixed it thanks. Saved myself £50. I might be elderly but I don't give in lol
@@valeriemiller1 Great 👍
What if I don't see the "Guide" icon show up? I only see the apps icons. 🙃🤪
Press the Home button. Select the ‘Live TV’ app, then you will see the Guide button appear on the left side of the screen. Scroll up and select it- the EPG guide will appear.
Auto program, says function not available.
You might need to select antenna instead of cable in the settings.
Same for me
The Live TV app doesn't appear after scanning...any help? Thanks for the great video nonetheless.
Do you mean Samsung TV Plus? Not all Samsung smart TV’s are equipped for it. This model doesn’t have it either.
The Samsung TV Plus is still there, but not the blue Live TV app you go to after scanning...@1:08 @@NorthcoasterHobby
My Samsung smart TV is six years old.@@NorthcoasterHobby
@@freeb1111 The EPG guide. Try restarting the TV (unplug/plug in).
It finally appeared after shutting the TV off a few times. I only got five new channels, but at least it's working. Thanks again.@@NorthcoasterHobby
Why do you only get like 20 local channels after scanning Air Tv?
I hope you get a lot more channels than I do. I actually only get 3 over the air channels here. It’s because I live in an isolated Canadian city, also too far to pick up US TV stations. 3 channels is all we have in my area. Plus, OTA television is a complete afterthought in Canada. Thanks for watching!
@@NorthcoasterHobby I have a Samsung smart tv,which is loaded with samsung plus channels but it requires Wi-Fi at all times
@@southeastd.c5636 Yes, I made a video about that service. But this Samsung TV I have doesn’t have it. Only certain models do.
There are many services that offer free live streaming channels: Roku, Pluto, Tubi, etc.; lots of free content available!
A lot of channels has been disappeared
What channels? In your TV market?
When i do it i dont see any air channels
Are you using an indoor or outdoor antenna?
@@NorthcoasterHobby indoor!
@@dennisfinan7977 Try placing the antenna in a window. Try placing the antenna up higher if possible. Run a channel scan each time you move the antenna to a new spot.
Try this website to find where the broadcast towers are located in your area to give you an idea of which direction to point the antenna:
www.antennaweb.org/
Enter your zip code.
Click ‘antenna will be installed 30 feet above ground’- this will give you a better listing of available channels.
Press ‘go’.
Let me know how it goes.
@NorthcoasterHobby thank you very much for the thorough response I will Der try this. Have a great holliday
