I’ve always had a passion for those old Volvo’s, but at 78 years old I really doubt if I’ll ever have one now. Hope you fix it up real nice and wouldn’t like to see it cut up. Great show, keep up the great work!
Yes Chad will fix it up alright if someone does not buy it from Chad well he will most certainly chop it in some shape or form with out a dought thats what Chad does cut chop cars it would be a real shame to chop that car but if someone don't buy it from him well that's the poor little cars future I can see it now poor little car 🤔🙄🤒🤒🤒
Ha! I fight the desire to cut up mine, a slightly later Amazon/122s! So far I've avoided the temptation, but I've seen some great "mini-Merc" versions, lowered with chopped tops.
It was nice to see you Jolene if it was just for afew. Hi Jolene and everyone else. Nathan I know that you will get it running but I was why it took you so long to find out the rotary button wasn't in the distributor on the flathead. God bless and have a blessed evening and night
Adjust those valves, take the plungers out of the top of the SU’s and put some ATF in there. Screw them back on and lift the throttle barrels up to get rid of the excess fluid. You’ll have to take the air filters off to accomplish this. I would put an electronic ignition in as well and get rid of the points. Then you’ll have a bulletproof engine. Cast iron block and head. They are almost indestructible.
I have some American muscle cars and I have some English cars when you're a car lover you can enjoy driving a Mustang and you can enjoy driving a little Morris Minor that old Volvo I would buy that tomorrow if it was in Australia it's a rare gem
Nate the carbs are simple only a float needle and seat the main jet is on the piston mixture adjustment is the big nut on the bottom of the carb were the small pie runs to the float chamber if you take the dash pots of just mark the and don’t forget to fill the piston tubes with light oil simple
Whow SU carburetor action! They are so interesting by how they work! I've learned my lessons for sure on those things! Cool carbs! Cheers from Junk's Automotive
Those are such classics please don't alter it keep it as is so cool. My brother had one just like it the earlier models had a split windshield. Way cool. Classic keep as is😊😊😊
Chad, Your making headway on the positioning and the adjustment of the frame for the 1934 Dodge / Plymouth Rat Rod Race Car for Jolene McIntyre to race at Pine Tree in Maine later this year.
Yall are making my day. Really enjoying your vids. on both channels are entertaining level 10. Thanks for keeping the vids yours. Hollywierd would have ruined them. I would polish the Volvo up inside, and out. It's already a show car.
i think those notches you plasmased at the rear window needed to be deeper to straighten up the door posts which will raise the front window up some but still have some rake in the rooof line
When I first saw one of these 544 Volvo's I immediately thought how much it looked like a 3/4 scale post war fat fendered Ford. Have you thought about perhaps turning it into a coupe.
😮😮OMG look whete the can of break clean spray is standing very dangerous position omg 😲 that could be big trouble if it shorts out you never rest anything metal on a car battery never worst case it explode not so worse you short out your battery 😮
If the brake clean has chlorine in it, mustard gas is produced when it is burned. Never burn or spray brake clean into an engine. Mustard gas is deadly! If you survive your lungs will be damaged.
@@Welder-y5x Yup! It was like six shotguns going off. My glasses landed 20ft away after a few seconds. I saw the fire coming out of holes for the cells. It was a damned old Rambler.
@@Welder-y5x My hearing got blasted too, it was dark and I was bent down over the battery trying to see. Only a good battery will blow up, a bad one isn't making hydrogen sulfide gas.
Holey crap guys 👦 you guys all lucky so very luck see battery's can be very dangerous but you all lived thank god 🙏 and I hope no permanent injuries 🙏 😀
sometimes it would be nice to see things your working on like the head liner the next day we're just kept hanging not knowing how it came out but enjoying watching everything you do
Unstick a clutch depress clutch an give the car several good revs it should unstick i do that an it works all the time on cars that have say for a long time 😊
Chop it slice it dice it up.😂 just so i can see the comments about how people cant believe he chopped it up how he ruined a perfectly good car then watch as they comment after he is done about how it turned out better than they could of or would have ever thought.
Bad gas will distroy that motor the minute you start if it’s not all cleaned out the clutch he could just pull it with the black suburban then pop the clutch it will pop or go in the inspection cover and slid a thin slice of tin up on the disc the part that touches the flywheel some times they pop then there free you could even spray parts cleaner up in the clutch to get it wet some times they turn then the parts cleaner evaporates fast no worries there it will all work out Nate got a good car and he can improvise on what to do to get the clutch freed up and make every thing work very smart guy Chad was smart for having the Nate on the team
WOW all you have to do is remove the gas line off the fuel pump going to the gas tank then get some gas hoses hook it up to the gas pump and put the other end into a gas can then you can start the engine then if the engine runs good then you can drain all the old gas out of the gas tank then use a camera with the long rich so you can look all round in the tank to see if it's in good shape and not all rusted if it is in good shape and not all rusty then you flush it out then put fresh gasoline and put the line back on the fuel pump then start it up
WOW NATE IS MAN OF HIS WORDS HE CAN GET IT START IT UP HE IS PRO PLEASE BRO BAD CHAD DONT CHOP IT UP PLEASE THIS IS GOOD LOOKING 61 VOLVO LOVE IT PAINT IT SAME COLOR AND SELL IT FOR MORE MONEY $12,000
Get back to the rusty crusty hot rods volvo's are cool but boring step it up chad getting cars started is not good content jolene you seem pretty intelligent make some headway with chad and build classics !
I can't watch this with the sound up because we're watching nate on the Volvo and chads grrinndiin ... You need to take the mic of chad if you're going to be grinding.. or like a previous video.. were watching chad and nate and a visitor were talking in the garage Fuxking this and Fuxking that 😂😮 .. you forget you have the mic on and we can hear everything you've been saying... Wireless microphone!!! Guys.
U should never ever put a steel spray can on top of a battery as it could fall over an create a spark boom Also put the drive wheels of the ground start in gear and keep pumping clutch paddle at the time work for me
all the criticism used to annoy me no end but I have to agree the projects don't seem to be completed and it is extremely frustrating, the man's attitude leaves a lot to be desired .No one will notice but I will find more interesting channels and unsubscribe .

One thing I love about your shows
Is the variety of your content you show your followers,
You all make a great team 👍
Keep up the amazing work x
Well done Super Nate another Victory !!! for Team Hiltz . Chad and Jolene thank you for the wonderful and entertaining video.
Love the Volvo. Looking like my old 48 Ford.
I couldn't hear a lot what Nat was saying because Chad grinding and welding in the back ground! Which spoiled this video.
My first car in 1973, a '64 Volvo 544 ❤
Please don't chop up the Volvo 😢😢😢
Ha! I fight the desire to cut up mine, a slightly later Amazon/122s! So far I've avoided the temptation, but I've seen some great "mini-Merc" versions, lowered with chopped tops.
Bad Brad is going to cut it in half and make 2 vehicles.
It’s sold
keep in mind, this channel is about chop & metal fabrication, not restore only…that’s why I watch…
Haters be hating

Nathan has incredible mechanical skills. Whatever Chad pays him isn't enough.
Bad Chad the classic destroyer 🤣😂
Wow a lot got done Chad nailed it today !
Nate the carbs are simple only a float needle and seat the main jet is on the piston mixture adjustment is the big nut on the bottom of the carb were the small pie runs to the float chamber if you take the dash pots of just mark the and don’t forget to fill the piston tubes with light oil simple
They are SU carbs, the tops unscrew and a light weight oil such as air tool lubricant lubes the carbs 👍
I hope he has topped up the oil in the SU’s dash pots
hope its saved ... got one for my sister years ago ... same set up ..i think those are SU twins ... similar to webbers ... cool cars
This is a joy to watch. What an artist 👍👍
Always wanted one of those Volvoes never could lay my hands on one this one sounds great
So enjoyable seeing good variety and fantastic designs , shapes , ect
thanks! my 1st car was a '60 544--enjoyed this!
Another win .....solid little car.
Whow SU carburetor action! They are so interesting by how they work! I've learned my lessons for sure on those things! Cool carbs! Cheers from Junk's Automotive

B18 engines so reliable they went forever 66 122 Amazon
Take Chad's mike off ..
I would love to drive this car..........love it.
Chad, Your making headway on the positioning and the adjustment of the frame for the 1934 Dodge / Plymouth Rat Rod Race Car for Jolene McIntyre to race at Pine Tree in Maine later this year.
Check the hydraulic cylinder on the clutch. Had a 1966 122S with the same clutch problem.
Yall are making my day. Really enjoying your vids. on both channels are entertaining level 10. Thanks for keeping the vids yours. Hollywierd would have ruined them. I would polish the Volvo up inside, and out. It's already a show car.
The best way to unstick a cluch is put the car in 2nd gear, hold the cluch down and pull the car with another car
great job , all you hear is chad in the back ground!
You need to lower the engine down into the frame or you going to have no place to sit. With the frame being modified it messes everything else up.
i think those notches you plasmased at the rear window needed to be deeper to straighten up the door posts which will raise the front window up some but still have some rake in the rooof line
Chad when you want to buy something....think for a bit.
You have been taken to dry cleaners few time.
Nate can make any thing run he is a mechanical wizard
Between Nate's skills and Volvo's reputation for building these engines understressed gives us very good odds!
Nate and jolene are more enjoyable to watch !!
Great job on getting the Volvo running guys it’s now a driver. Keep up the great work all of you
Love that thing, just the way it is.
Nate is the man who can
They blow head gaskets
Loved seeing that Volvo starting up.
Here in Sweden that car would be quite expensive.
I can see people freaking out seeing Nate in the Volvo and the sound of the zipcut coming from nearby 😂

😅Chad ,you should clean that car up and give it a nice paint job, same color and make look like new.
Thanks like you and Jolenes show
When those Volvos first came out, it was OBVIOUS that the body style looks like a 40s Ford, but smaller. And not NEARLY as fast.
WIZARD DOES IT AGAIN!
Unstick a clutch depress clutch an give the car several good revs it should unstick i do that an it works all the time on cars that have say for a long time 😊
Nathan is doing a great job!
Nate will get it to run Chad and Jolene 👍👍
Hi all from Trois-Rivieres Quebec
It’s a flipper! I know you guys can make it. No way, 6v is opening a can of worms. Good luck keep
looking 👀 for the next one 🤠
How bout making a windshield visor and fender skirts for the Volvo with some white walls maybe even a continental kit
Chop it slice it dice it up.😂 just so i can see the comments about how people cant believe he chopped it up how he ruined a perfectly good car then watch as they comment after he is done about how it turned out better than they could of or would have ever thought.
it is a nice addition to hear Joline's reactions in the background.
You were wondering what went in the big hoop on top of the flat head. Its for the generator.
Put a lift kit on it rise it up go four wheeling go for it team hiltz
Oil in the water
Not good sign

Wish I had the money to buy that Volvo
Thats stop leak in that radiator !
Is the Volvo still being Sold? Go for it Team Hiltz 👁 🐅 👌
Great job Nathan, Hopefully you don't chop it if you no what I. Mean just getting running good and drive it.

Nat is a great guy but no point having him talk if you can't here him.

Chop,Chop,Chop👍
i would like see chad drive the forklift across the yard .that should be funny.will get stuck .lol will it not
Remember to check the oil in the top of the SU carbs. I used to use Marvel Mystery oil for that.
BOX STATE COLORADO. IS THIS NEW LIVE CALLED BAD NATES GARAGE. 😅😂😅
Sweet sound of success 👍
Sounds good Nate
Hats off to NATE the WIZARD!!!!!!!
That is such great shape please don't molest it. Keep it as is rare classic😊
Good job, Nathan
Nice car i would love to have this one don't mess with it chad
Get back to the rusty crusty hot rods volvo's are cool but boring step it up chad getting cars started is not good content jolene you seem pretty intelligent make some headway with chad and build classics !
They were JUNK when they were NEW
I can't watch this with the sound up because we're watching nate on the Volvo and chads grrinndiin ... That was a cool one
Im sure Nate will get it running and driving. Hopefully someone buys it before it gets chopped.
Ugly duckling I use to have one!
Hey Nate, when the camera is on you and Chad is not around you need to talk more and tell us what you are doing.
clean the gas tank and the fuel system, change all fluids instead of running around like headless chickens 🙄 it's a kindergarten
Need to get a 6volt charger for 6volt battery
That Volvo is not worth $6000.
You got screwed bud.
Like the black car you bought from usa
I'm lovin' that Volvo.
I think it’s time we see Chad do a late 60’s American muscle car
I think the Volvo would be a great one too repaint
U should never ever put a steel spray can on top of a battery as it could fall over an create a spark boom
Also put the drive wheels of the ground start in gear and keep pumping clutch paddle at the time work for me
Put seafoam in the tank Nate that works good with old fuel either Gas or Diesel.
all the criticism used to annoy me no end but I have to agree the projects don't seem to be completed and it is extremely frustrating, the man's attitude leaves a lot to be desired .No one will notice but I will find more interesting channels and unsubscribe .
Good old Nate
Very cool volvo
You need to set the body on , I think you are going to have to lower that motor & trans
Thanks Chad 😊
An old Volvo 🇸🇪 Swedish steel. ❤
A little bit discombobulating with all the mikes mixing together.
