@@landpet maybe, but it was unrealistic, don't get me wrong, 33k subs is nothing to laugh at, but it's far from 100k, plus you have 33k today, and this video is from over a year ago, so presumably you had less 33k subs at the time, so it was laughably unrealistic.
Not bad for a budget mesh system but there are better options as well. Depends what you’re looking for and what your speeds, house size and if you’re running wired or wireless
Well, it would have been nice if you mentioned it has a web interface (because some people (I'm one) aren't interested in installing an app - too many privacy issues with using an app). Anyways, performance looks decent.
Good day, nice review. i would like to know if the MX12 are EASYMESH R2 protocol or R1 ? I have a router 5G Tenda 5g03 that have already the mesh system with EASYMESH R2 protocol, and would like to add those MX12. Like that i would "save" one node using the modem as primary node.
Both good, I forget the numbers I had between these. TP Link has a better interface (Deco app). Again I forget the speed tests and range, I would just check out the other video and jump to the stats.
I’m planning on using a wifi 6 mesh system in new hard wired home with cat 6 cable and want it to reach a secondary building 150’ away. In your opinion, if I place the satellite in the home next to the closest exterior wall to the secondary building then place another satellite in the same fashion in the secondary building so the linear distance is the shortest and no obstructions other than the 2 exterior walls. Will it work this way?
I don’t know if that would work, it’s possible and having the least amount of obstructions would help with wireless backhaul. The mesh companies typically recommend the satellite is one or two rooms away. If you are running an Ethernet cable between the two homes then it would work. There is some other device called a “wireless bridge” and it’s designed for this sort of thing.
I’ve considered the bridge, the Orbi reviews I’ve seen have peaked my interest because it seems to have a pretty good range! I have no way to run a cable between buildings…their is a road between them. Would I be able to use a p2p system like ubiquities along with say the Orbi mesh system?
Hi! I am considering purchasing this tenda product. At home between the master and satellite there are many thick walls but I have a wired ethernet network, can you confirm that this product supports the master-satellite connection via ethernet cable?
Hey I am looking for a mesh system for my apartment. A regular router for my apartment due to the walls, so looking for a system for streaming and my son gaming. I was confused with wireless backhaul and wired backahaul? I would usually put one connected to my modem and the other in my son's room then one in hallway. Thanks in advance for you assistance.
I just got such a bad experience with an earlier 6 node MW3 system, also rebranded as ultralink by other companies, that I will never buy this brand again. Even though there were and are issues and shortcomings with the MW3 that could/can be resolved with a firmware upgrade they never brought out a firmware upgrade. Thus I can also expect that what you buy now is what you get and dont expect any improvements on the app or firmware. Totally different with other brands that address issues and listen to their customers needs.
I have an MX12 and an MX6 but I can't get them to connect via mesh. Do you know why or how to do it? I have them connected to each other via cable and neither work.
Thoughts on the Triband version ? You was saying that the Triband for wireless backhaul is best when it came to the TP Link Deco so I was wondering if its the same here.
TP Links new WiFi 7 systems look good. Wonder what Amazon’s Eero Pro 7’s will be like? Will they offer 10GB ports? You won’t be short of products to make videos on.
TP Links new WiFi 7 is insane if I’m going just based on specs. Not sure how fast the eero pro 7 will be, I’m hoping they put 2 fast ports on that. Yup no shortage of mesh WiFi/routers. I’m always testing new ones.
I remember you said you will make a video about how to create a local internet and test the router's maximum speed. But you still didn't do it. May I know when will you do that video?
Any updates on this? Did you try to switch it to AP mode instead of Router mode which maybe helps increasing Internet Speed Test? You only got 809/297Mbps which is a huge difference from your ISP Speeds which is 900/900Mbps. I have Deco M9 Plus and I can get Max 600Mbps max DL speeds using WiFi (Main Deco which is wired to ISP router)
Hello, great review. Would you recommend Mercusys Halo H90X over Tenda MX12? They are about the same price but H90Xs have 1x2,5Gb port on each of 3 units. Did you have opportunity to test it and compare them? Would be very helpful. Thanks a lot. Greetings.
This had better test results (not by a huge margin) compared to the X55. I do prefer the Deco app to the Tenda app, but on a performance scale, this did better.

I have a setup where I have to use the ISP's combo router which doesn't have a modem only/bridge mode. Is there a way to avoid the double NAT problem in this scenario?
I forget if the Tenda supports this or not but if it does support it, you can run the Tenda in Bridge or Access Point mode. I would try to call your ISP and see if they can help you get just a modem.
I have a Router (Mikrotik) with VPN configurations, and I'm looking for a Mesh Wi-Fi system (AP Only). I'm looking for a substitute for my Rukus (Cabled) Wi-Fi system and replacing it with a Wireless-Mesh Wi-Fi Access Point System. Can you edit which device will be the DHCP Server? Can the routing be disabled on this kind of device, so my Main Router can do that job instead?
A little late now (I'm looking for an access point myself, but I have a few key requirements - so no I'm not using it, but it's still on my list). According to the manual, the routing seems to be easily disabled. It has an access point only mode (AP mode) that can be togged in the web configuration as well as the app.

@@wyli1960 I just ordered it. Amazon has the single router for $100 after coupon. I don't really need mesh, only having a 2,500 sq. ft. home, but I like the mesh routers compared to traditional.
What is the difference between EX12 and MX12?
They already announced Wi-Fi 7 mesh model I'm so excited
WiFi 7 has been great so far with the mesh systems I've tested
Thanks for the review. Hopefully for their Wifi 6E new version (AXE5700) and future Wifi 7 version, it gets even better
No problem. I imagine they will get bette. WiFi 7 routers have crazy specs just looking at some of the ones that are going to come out.

Idk if they are compatible, probably best to ask Tenda
MX12 can't connect to MW12 by mesh, you can buy MW6 to extend network or let MW12 wired connect to MX12 LAN port ,build second Mesh system under MX12
For info, in the Tenda website they talk about Wifi+ networking and it is supported by MX3, MX12, MX21 Pro, the RX12 Pro, TX12 Pro.

You talk a lot
You should just give results
And reliability . You like to hear yourself talk
I put in chapters and did provide all the results, feel free to skip around. I’m explaining how stuff works and how stuff was tested for context.
Unnecessary comment.
