Don't you just love Brent's descriptive ways! Hates bodywork yet he sure does do a nice job of it. Moving along really nice. The efforts, time and hard labour are sure paying you back. Stay safe and enjoy.

As many have mentioned, I hate body work with bonds myself. However it is a little more enjoyable watching somebody else getting covered in gray dust. LOL. Bottom line a necessary evil and gets you closer. Glad your Napco truck was an easy fix for you. You and Esther enjoy the rest of your day.

It was interesting to watch the bodywork because as you filled and sanded, I recalled how you crafted the bumper, then the headlights, then the articulated hood. It made me realize-wow-you got a lot of work in that rig and it has some great features.!

A carpenter will always tell you that the installation of moldings hides a multitude of sins, as plastic does the same for body men. Look how hard you worked on putting together and welding the metal. Just that alone deserves a finish product that is second to none.

I've done lot's and lot's of bondo work in my younger day's a job no one wanted to do, but all the year's I figured out how to make the job go faster and easier to get it done. Because shop's are always pushing for time to get it done and the painter's want it done right so people can say that's a great paint job. The body guy is always for gotten about. The paint job is only going to look as your prep work before paint.

You might think there is nothing to see in bodywork, but actually there is a lot to learn about the preparation and the use of body filler, I have seen some bad bodywork where it looks like a blind man’s done it, it is always useful to see how things are done properly.

I've done a whole lotta body/bondo work took me many year's to master or make it easier for me to get it right. I just cover the whole side and run the long board. I remember a friend and I made a long board out of a 2x4 to do a Cadillac panel's. It came out car show the owner was very happy. My point is some time's you have to make your own tool's to get the job done as fast as possible. The paint job is only going to look as your prep work before paint. To those that don't know.

I watched Bad Chad use the resin trick, and as I was making some custom fenders for a motorcycle, I gave it a try. It worked great, and as you say, if you sand before it goes rock hard, it's nice to work withh. I don't do a lot of body type work, so the additional open time was a boon for and old hacker like myself. Iuse an old drywall hawk for mixing and applying the filler, its a bit awkward but its durable, and if you forget to clean it right away some acetone and a little sanding its as ood as new. I liked the frankenstein look of your build, and probably would have drove it as is.
