    I don't think you can truly appreciate how much work goes into a build like this. Really looking forward to the finished product. Pablo is his usual stoic self.

    Growing up in the 70's I'd get kustoms Hot Rod magazines. With the likes of Barris, Jefferies, to many KeWl Kar Kustimisers to mention. Every time I watch you Brent it reminds me of stepping back in time . Thanks for the Videos Always can't wait to get the next Halfass Video no matter the content. Can't wait to see those finished crests ! Godspeed

    Brent you are like a one man production line. Loving the car with that long hood it reminds me of the first comic book Batmobile. I wish you would wear a mask when sanding.

    It's insane the amount of work you get done. A few weeks ago the front end looked hopeless and now it's in primer. You and Pablo get it up the good work 👍

    I work with wood, nuts and bolts and screws mostly. Bought a welder. My first time welding, a "gallows" to hang my pigs after dispatching. Practiced for hours. Boogers! boogers! boogers! (And spattering) Then, I got the temp and feed dialed in. Man, what difference! Looks and feels much better. Patience, slow and steady with "U" movements wins. Gallows is strong. Will hang the gambrel secure safely. Bottom line: You make it look easy. It ain't! Lol! Practice makes perfect. (At least acceptable)😂

    I'm so glad you showed cleaning your body work tools. Filler stuck on my tools makes me hate body work, and I've moved to disposable tools as much as possible. I've thought of sanding off old filler, but never did it. Maybe I will in the future.

    Dammm, this RumRunner era is exactly what I like... I was watching the thumbnails but waiting to be surprised later. Heading backward now and digging the music! I remember once in the early 90's we spotted this 34 abandoned Chevy something and snooped it out that had a small block and 12 bolt set up already and tried finding the owner to buy it but had no luck.

    Just my two cents, Brent,, the longer hood, and the other body mods, give it a unique character,, I see this rod,, and picture either front fender mounted spare tires, or a continental kit on the rear bumper with filler panels from body to bumper, and I keep envisioning chrome steel wheels and/or fender skirts…. So far, very kool build .

    This is turning into the meanest looking rod of it's era (40's?) Brent. The front is big man. It would so greatly suit the 8 liter Viper V10 with a seven speed auto. Or a nice LS 😅 . The hood line is more like like a Kenworth than the pointy car hood. I like how the redesign has ended up looking ! As means as Cinderella's step sisters. Just plain nasty😈🎱

    The new hood has really come together to anchor the front sheet metal into a cohesive, stylish unit. I would love to hang around behind a bunch of classic MOPAR guys as they discuss the various aspects of this car. It is beginning to look like it was designed that way, and you really can't ask for anything better than that. With the amount of welding and patching done on those panels, it is a miracle that they shaped up with the minor amounts of filler actually used. Fantastic craftsmanship in the fabrication.....

    May sound crazy but late 40's to early 50's gm cars are actually fairly light.
    I would love to see a body and partial frame, repowered by a 3800 front wheel drive set up.
    Not really a hot rod set up, but a very cool cruiser idea.

  • @nicodemusserpico77
    @nicodemusserpico77 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Goulash/Patches is lookin' magnificent! Not sure if you caught my crazy idea, but for its namesake, I'm can a swirly reddish pattern with streaks for the paint job, even expanding on the ornamentation of the sides of the hoods. Maybe a solid sparkly color would be best, and pop significantly, but imagine layers of darker red to lighter pink moving upwards, with swirls and streaks flowing from front to back! Challenging, but it certainly would be even more unique -or an outright bad idea....!

    Have to admit. That came out nice. Alot of work there. I have the same 8 inch DA. I used those orbital flat files. The 8 in DA is way better. I flung my share of filler in the past and those bag busters(as I call them) are the best for getting a panel straight fast. I did a 63 caddy convertible and put 13 gallons of filler into the rig!! Lol. That was what 95% of the work was done with... of and the car was painted gloss black after. Lol.
