- We're celebrating World Stroke Day to build more awareness for stroke. The B.E.F.A.S.T. acronym is widely used to help anyone identify a stroke. In patient Dianne's case, B for Balance and dizziness were her first symptoms that led her medical team to transfer her to Dr. Alexandra Paul at Albany Medical Center to receive immediate treatment for a basilar ischemic stroke.
