SMART! 😎🤘 Selling your V1's to upgrade to Goggles 2! Very logical. Yesterday I read soooooooo many guys comments that just bitched and moaned about this fantastic update. Over and over I heard nothing about how great it is that DJI upgraded the Vistas and older air unit to work with the new Goggles 2. Sure, it's what everyone always wanted, and Vistas also got full Betaflight OSD! Which we all desired since they first came out, years ago. But, all people were bitching and moaning about was not having Audience mode when they're flying with Goggles 2 and want someone else to ride along with V2 or V1 goggles! Damn! Seriously, all this good and that's what you're complaining about?! I still can't believe it!!! 🙄🤷 Who gives a flying FUC% about audience mode, for those rare times someone wants to see what you are seeing! Yup!... I'm gonna keep a set of $429 goggles around just for strangers or friends to very occasionally watch me fly on. Glad to hear someone else doesn't have money growing on trees, like those guys obviously do! It never even occurred to them they could sell their V1 and V2 goggles and use the money to upgrade to Goggles 2 OLED's. JUST LIKE YOU DID! 👍😁 I said use your phone and the Digiview app, which works great, but bitching was in FULL SWING! It's amazing how DJI can give us everything we ever wanted! The things haters loved to hate about the system NOT having. Then, they bring it all to us... Even a surprising Vistas upgrade to 03 lites! And the smallest little thing pissed them off enough to forget ALL OF THE GREAT UPDATES, and complain about the smallest little "who cares" feature. By the way, most had no idea the Goggles 2 are supposed to be able to wirelessly stream Goggles 2 content to any phone nearby for audience mode. Fuc%! I hate how all our dreams are made to come true from DJI, and they pick the most insignificant thing to hate on! Grow the Fuc% Up! 🙄🤷 Me, I'm happy as a clam in the sand about compatibility with Everything and Goggles 2. Vistas with Full Betaflight OSD! Vistas get same software in our Goggles 2 as 03! Get more functionality similar to 03... That we'll have to see after people get testing on those updated Vistas. Yeah, but this shows you, that if you get the ITCH to fly FPV, you can just drive and fly! Comfort of your car, maybe tunes a blastin', and you're still getting your fix of flying! Co0ol! :)
Newb here, when you're in the goggles while using the og air unit are the sides static like blurry? That's what I'm getting with mine, the center is perfectly clear but not the sides
Hey Duarte. This is called focus mode. Make sure you are using the highest MW output. How far away are you flying? Make sure both the antennas are plugged in, and make sure the goggles/air unit have the same type of antenna. (LHCP or RHCP) also make sure that low power mode is correctly configured. This can cause MSP problem and air unit is only in low power mode not high power mode.

I have the v1 Goggles, v1 remote, & several OG AUs. A few AU Lites. Got the Goggles 2 for Christmas & they're just setting on the bench. No use for them yet. I'll use them with 03 AUs eventually but no rush. Glad they made them somewhat backward compatible but they seriously F'ed over the OG AU owners that spent $20-$30 more on them over the AU Lites & after shelling out $300 on the remote. Smh.

i cant see any different from the old airunit to the new one?. Think they just reduced the fps to 100fps to bump up to 1080p with the same bite rate of 50mpbs in the vista. If anything the shadows where darker in the 03 and colours where brighter although i couldn’t see a white line down the power polls in the new airunit in the 200% zoom so i can see only a small difference
It is rather hard to see any difference with the DVR footage to be honest. But when you are actually flying they feel very very different. I agree, the 03 colors are definitely darker and more contrasty.
I know you get almost 2w on the 03 with the ham hack but from what I’m seeing thus far, this isn’t the case with the vista on the g2. But I’m loving the 03 and vista on the v2 goggles minus the binding thing. But meh, not a huge deal in the grand scheme. Great video n rippage!

@@richardruckert7954 my bad, I thought you meant goggle DVR. The OG air units wont record DVR with the new update, so I cant make this comparison. I dont plan on using the O3 DVR either because I always fly with a GoPro.
Honestly the footage looks very close to me, hard to see any meaningful differrence beetwen the two. The upgrade to googles 2 is expensive and you loose all the good wtf os stuff. Uhm...

O3 protocol that he has loaded on both OG AU and O3 AU encodes/processes differently so pure watt output is not not the 'special sauce' here.

you have to update the firmware of the goggles and the air unit by connecting to the dji programm on pc. After that it worked for me without a problem

Yeah.... no. None starter. The update GIMPS the OG AU & AU Lite. Only 700mW & no onboard DVR. No dice.
