That has to be one of the most hilariously deadly box rushes I've ever seen. Imagine being the driver of the other bot watching this invincible Donkey Kong barrel of a robot chaotically bouncing at you. Congrats on the win!
@@LukeQuinYeah it's such a backhanded compliment lol! I can't think of a single other full body spinner of note active at the moment. And the most famous ever was probably Axe Backward, which... yeah.
@@olisk-jy9rz Noobtube is working pretty well in the lower weight classes. Barberous was pretty famous in Robot Wars and personally I love Pipe Bomb at Motorama, just completely unhinged and almost uncontrollable.
@@bami2 PanjandruM and Noobtube work a bit different. They are more like a vertical melty brain in the sense the entire mass of the robot contributes to the weapon. I think it would be pretty difficult to scale noob tube up without mechanical breaking and massive motors. Pepe is a more traditional full body drum spinner like Barberous. I was a big Barberous fan when I was younger.
Great fight. This guy builds this incredible robot and has also mastered the Weird Science machine according to the results shown on the NHRL Pepe short. He is a GOD ❤
Bots fight more than one match per day? I'm wondering if someone can come in with 3 separate identical finished bots and after each match just put a new one in? or what counts as the bot if it needs to be repaired? (if its required).
You can have an unlimited number of copies of your robot. the copies should look similar. Time, money and traveling logistics usually limit your copies to 2 or 3. I fly with this robot, the robot weights 45lbs. I can travel with two copies if I have 3x checked bags at 50lbs each. I cannot afford to build more than 2 copies of this robot.
Both Nautilus and Pepe had very dull weapons at this point in the competition. I'm sure if Nautilus had a brand new sharp weapon it would have eaten up the shufflers.
No weight bonus for shufflers in Battlebots so you're always going to have large wheels on the outside being pretty exposed to horizontals. Also I don't want to even imagine the cost of cutting a heavyweight full body drum out of a single block of steel and heat treating that, would probably cost over $10-20k if not more.
Very impressive performance from pepe! Congrats on the 1st place finish luke

"The Gang Wins Motorama 2024"
Congrats man, Pepe is such a cool robot, probably my favourite full body drum atm
Thanks! tho there's only been like 5 or so full body drum spinners ever made
@@LukeQuin there's way more than that, don't sell yourself or the concept short 🤙

the first irl robot to exploit the havok physics engine
Great fight Luke, I am looking forward to the eventual rematch! Pepe is awesome!
Thanks Matt! I'm sure Nautilus will be even more destructive next time. Which is terrifying to think about.
The box rush has to be out right scary for your opponent
Pepe is STILL waiting for his mail...
We're not gonna get fired. Cause we've already been fired
Awesome, man, happy for you!
What impresses me even more than pepes 1st place are your very unique designs. You allways try something new.
1st place was very unexpected. In the past two events Pepe only had one win.
Great fight! Did you get a count of how many things in the arena you broke across Pepe Silvia's fights? There was so much glass lol

Congrats! Very fun match. Heavyweight Pepe when? (Give it a Carol from HR minibot, please.)
If we go back to NHRL we might need a Carol from HR minibot
Congratulations!
Huge congratulations Luke! Well fought Nautilus!
Pepe silvia es un axe backguards que si funciona, aunque creo que solo en ese tamaño,a mayor tamaños no creo que sea muy efectivo
I hope this sport keeps evolving to be the sport of the future
Now this is a robot fight!
Loved the unique design of that rolling robot

Pepe Silvia used rollout, it missed. Still a very entertaining start as usual!
There is no Carol from HR.
Why don't they record in 4k 60...it looks better in iPhone
I wish they would. Might have something to do with storage or the cameras don't support it. 10 hour live stream at 4k60 would be like 500GB or more.
Would have been even better with Nautilus fully drivable. See if it can eat those side shuflers or not which are suprisingly durable

this looks like battlebots in the hood.
This could save axe backwards/barberous designs in battlebots.

its f ing plexi glass around that arena?? 😅 wth?? 😂
YAY!!
Oooooh Yeahhhh!
love this bot
really cool
Aww yeah
These are stoned engineers, crazy, what is this? so not fair
God Bless Pepe
Pepe The Frog? Lol.
