i just made this and this is, without exaggeration, the BEST non-creamy soup that I've made in my life. I've always thought that I'd never be able to make non creamy soups that taste as good as restaurants, but you proved me wrong 😊
Thank you Aaron and Claire! Thanks to you I was able to make delicious food with my poor cooking skills. I had to pre-order your book, when I noticed it's going to be released on my b-day - 20th Dec :) . Lots of love from Poland!
Thank you Claire for your food reviews, I can almost taste how good the food is by watching your expressions! I’m getting the recipe book from Santa this year 🇺🇸
Delicious 😋! I used soup dumplings from Trader Joe's and the result was great. I was surprised to find your book in our local library. I'm going to try new recipes soon. Thanks! 🙏
Since the fried rice episode, I found myself trying your other recipes as well. Thanks for making these. I cook so much often now as I used to have a lot of doubts about cooking. Thanks again 😊
I love watching these. I am always chiming in on commentary with Arron and Smiling with Claire as she is enjoying describing the delicious food. 😋 It's the joy and love for food that comes through and this foodie eats it up.
This became the first ever Korean recipe I have ever made. I used what would probably be considered low grade ingredients, cooked it like a fish out of water but since I made it for my family it turned out great. Of course I have nothing to really compare it to, but thank you so much for giving me the will to cook something way outside of my comfort zone it really was as easy as it looks. Though I made a much bigger mess, it was worth the experience and is a keeper for a repeat.
I am so jealous of Claire. EVERY SINGLE dish that Aaron makes is always so yummy looking. I would LOVE to have someone who can cook for me too. They are the cutest couple. #couplegoals ❤❤❤
Beef bullion and MSG make broths taste so much better. If you don't want to add much seasoning, you can just brown your minced beef with salt and pepper. I bulk prep most of it, including the pasta (usually fettucine). Green onions and coriander can be sliced up and stored in the freezer. Just boil water, add the beef bullion, MSG and dumplings. Throw in the pasta and minced beef last if you're lazy. Otherwise put them in a bowl and microwave to warm up, then pour the soup on it. This is definitely better than instant noodles with minimal effort.
My life is changed! This recipe is so simple and so good. Had it for dinner tonight. Substituted chicken breast cut small and Cantonese noodles (it's what I had) but oh my goodness! So good!
yall are so cute together, she makes some of the same faces you do, i can tell yall are the real deal. keep it up!! I wish you both happiness and success!
Just pre-ordered your book. Wanted to thank you for all the great tasting easy recipes. Your recipes were a life saver when I needed to cook instead of my wife!
Great one Aaron! If you open a restaurant, can you do it in my hometown? Just kidding, but not really. Fav part was when Claire said she could eat dumplings everyday and it sounded like she was singing it. 💕
@@neila9701 since you have time to cook from the scratch, try Maangchi’s lol it’s great. But I’m lazy 😂and I need great quick recipes. I pre-ordered it and it’s coming in January. I look forward to it! 😊
Pre-ordered the book on Amazon :) can’t wait! I have a question what if I’m allergic to all fish. Can you just not use the fish sauce? Or must it be replaced? Thanks!
@@AaronandClaire The soup was quick to prepare and tasty. However, I used 1 Qrt beef stock, 2 cups water, and 1 Lb ground beef. Keep up the good work! 😜
Tasty wonderland is right! This one looked especially tasty and easy. I'm with Claire, I think I could eat dumplings everyday. 😋 Stay safe sweet friends.
You guys are the best! Hoping to visit Seoul next year so hopefully I can get some ingredients like dashida so I can make your recipes! Love from the UK
Does Claire have the best job in the world or what?? I love her. She’s so tiny yet she happily shovels the food in. She’s awesome! Your cooking is pretty decent too 😂 Question time-: coming from Australia 🦘🦘🦘 your green onions are huge!! I thought it was a leek! They don’t sell large ones like that here. Your chives look like our green onions. Our chives a fine like the thickness of a matchstick. How would a little Aussie battler compensate for this??
The chives are flat garlic chives, not regular round chives. You can get them at Asian grocers if you have one nearby…. Otherwise they are fairly easy to grow here!
Just left Seoul yesterday…it was our 1st time visiting… went to Mashi China & Yooksiri after watching your old vids…food was very delicious….you guys should do more restaurant recommendations.
Made this tonight with a couple of edits: used ground pork and caramelized it , had some pork broth on hand and added a bit of Korean chili pepper flake. LOVED it!!!!!
As a mongolian, the only thing id do is make the dumplings from scratch, smth we do very often, very easy - at least to us. I will make this tomorrow for my bf with handmade noodles and hm dumplings! Thank you for the idea. Oh, also idk if anyone cares at all but most of us where i come from make dumplings with beef or mutton lots of fat and onion seasoned with salt and barely anything else. The way my mom taught me is to of course salt but also black pepper and red pepper. Now that i make my own, i always make them with minced carrots. Depending on the quality of meat we get from the market, it is impossible to know really how old the cattle was when …… so in order to make the minced meat a little tastier and juicier, minced carrots onions and garlic+ black pepper red pepper, sometimes i ll every put in parsley or oregano or whatever i feel like- but i know that some people hate the random taste of parsley or thyme…. So i try not to surprise them with a non traditional additional ingredients. I can respect people being picky because at the end of the day i am the pickiest. LOL - next on my list is to make chicken dumplings at home. Store bought chicken dumplings are delish already so i dont feel the need to make them myself, but store bought beef dumplings always have mutton tail fat. Which is the most disgusting snotty fatty stinky thing ever.
Instead of plain water, you can use a mixture of plain water and 1 pack of bone broth. But since the bone broth itself is seasoned, you need to reduce the amount of other seasonings (soy sauce, fish sauce, beef stock powder, etc.) Otherwise, it can be too salty. Hope this helps! 😉🙌
I love this Korean cutlery set - stainless steel chopsticks and the loooooong soup spoon. I can't use the chopsticks well 🤪 but the soup spoon is AWESOME.
