Happy New Year Reds!! I'm working on the 1983/84 season which should hopefully be out in the near future. This season made the most sense as there is a lot of content and of course a lot of trophies :) However if you are a fan of Dave Waller it will mostly be a consolidation of his videos but I aim to make it a bit more streamlined by shortening the longer games down to 5-10 minute highlights on average. I am also attempting a greater emphasis on narrative but we will see how that goes. Thank you again for all of the support.
My last game before I emigrated was this season v Derby, we won 5-0. I remember trying to hold back my tears as I left the Kop and walked out onto Walton Breck Road. Thought it was my last time. Funnily enough at that game, I got Derby and England defender Roy McFarland’s autograph, a fellow scouser! Been back three times and seen about twenty games since. Great season ‘79.
By any measure the 1978-79 season for Liverpool is the greatest club season in Football League / Premier League history. That is taking consideration of (in order of dominance) Preston, Sunderland, Villa, Newcastle, Huddersfield, Arsenal, Wolves, Manchester United, Spurs Leeds, Liverpool in the early 1970s, Derby, Arsenal, and Leeds and the entire Prem era. They were simply irrepressible. 16 goals conceded, 4 at home. 42 match season, Cup semi-finalists as well. The two greatest players in Liverpool's history (Terry Mac and Ray Kennedy) were at their finest that season. And no, I'm not a Liverpool fan.

Bob Paisley maintained this 78/79 side was his finest. I'll take his word for it.

In 21 league games at home , Liverpool conceded 4 goals. FOUR!
