What i feel is we mistake literacy for education see I've seen people spending hours studying, going to colleges , getting a degree , getting a job but their minds are such disgrace . The older generation went to school but most of them didn't change and some did for ex i used to go to school but never learned about anything useful until i got my own phone but still i think literacy does brings a change coz if i wasn't literate , I'd be wasting my time watching so called mindless funny videos and wouldn't have discovered channels like these

Its so heartwarming to see this, i hope one day even my parents accept me for being a non binary pansexual/bisexual (still confused about that) queer person but i also feel kind of sad watching this because i know that is never ever going to happen, i wont ever have that moment in my life because in our political discussions i have gauged that they're not supportive of the community at all, and my "father" even called my community a disgrace to society. I just hope more and more parents become accepting of gender and sexuality and educate themselves. I hope I can do something to change the perception of the queer community in India, and fight for inclusivity of queer education in schools because I believe its a good place to start. I knew I am not straight since I was 14. It scared the hell out of me. I was scared that my family will disown me if they find out. 12 years after, I just could not take it anymore, I got tired of lying why I dont have a boyfriend, etc. So I decided to come out. I was ready to accept the consequences. But then, to my surprise, my family responded completely different to what I expected. They were very supportive. My mom got emotional when she realised I kept it for more than a decade, she apologised to me for not knowing and that it must be very difficult for me to keep it all these years. She told me, she does not care about what other would say, all she cares about is my happiness. Had I known that this will be their reaction, I would have come out a bit earlier. My relationship with my family greatly improved after I came out. So to those who are scared to come out to their family, have a little faith in them. 😁

I cried the entire video. May be because i had a bad day and watching this just took my emotions to another level. I consider myself to be a part of the community and I'm still figuring out who i am. But there is this constant fear of my parents and society who don't have much information about the queer community and it really pulls me back for exploring who i really am. Telling my few best friends that I'm not straight was really tiring. The accepted me for who i am but i always thought about what they would think if i hugged them as just a friend.
I think my parents are really accepting but i don't know what will happen in the end. It stresses me out on a daily basis. and i just want this to end. I hope i can just live a life without thinking what others will think about my sexuality.

My girlfriend's family is not as accepting as mine, even if mine was. Or should I say rather homophobic. Sometimes when people are being homophobic, they don't realise they're going against love all because they're of the same gender, even if they know this person is amazing for their daughter. speaking from experience i think most of us know who we are attracted to since we were little kids but since talking about attraction isn't really common in indian households even for straight people so most people keep it to themselves. and then ofcourse middle school comes and boys starts saying all the homophobic slurs they have recently learned, that's when we know it's safer to keep our identity to ourself.

You know what, India and China are neighbouring countries and in bad terms and on top of that, the whole world is now waiting to see what China does in near future in global politics and in all we see China is coming hard on anything against the so-called traditional patriarchal Family structure. Now, both countries are a playing a number game in terms of future generation, China is forcing people to have more kids, coming hard on women's liberty and choice and on LGBTQ people. Indian politics is also affected by that. And, in this way, I think every country and community's politics deal with human liberty in the context of their neighbours, opponents and in general global communities. This is also a matter of tribal politics and patriarchy. Eg, in the recent Texas law, the gate keeping freaks of religions along eith their very own impractical heartless calculative "culture" prepared a ground for the judgement but the state approved it bcz of their own tribal politics.
