    Football is a sport when the super stars are being produced every 2 or 3 years..
    Each club has its own academy, kids as young as 6 or 7 get scouted by the clubs and get recruited for the team, once they get the kid they train and educate them in the world of Football, make them into professional athletes. If you are really good as a Kid you can make your senior professional debut as young as 16.

      Acadamies can produce young talents but not create legends, they've have do that by themselves.
      Can you spot anyone with the reputation and name that messi had at his early 20's in todays football.
      Every generation has great players but to be the greatest is the hard job.Only one or two from each generation can enter that conversation not everyone

    Interesting your comparison of tennis and football stars, and I tell you that after Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo finally retire and I believe this should happen in the next 4, 5 years or so, it will not only be the end of the cycle of these two unique soccer aces, but it will also be a moment of ''empty'' in quotes, of supreme soccer aces and something that in fact has never happened since the 50s, we can say that. Because from the 50s to the 70s, the supreme players in soccer were Di Stéfano, Puskas, Garrincha, Gerd Muller, Eusébio, Bobby Charlton, Gento, Rivelino, Beckenbauer and Pelé (who for many people is the greatest soccer player of all times) and even agree. From the 70's to the 90's there were super stars like Platini, Zico, Cruyff, Maradona, Van Basten, these few examples, from the 90's to the mid-2000s, the super stars appeared, Romário, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Batistuta, Baggio, Mattaus, Zidane, Bergkamp, among many others, from mid 2000 until today, there are the best known superstars, let's say, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Ibrahimovic, Iniesta, Xavi among many others...and for the first time in a long time, there are no superstars at super high levels, to be the next generation of soccer superstars and that's something very impactful. On the world stage today, the most prominent names are Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland, for me, they are great players and have the potential to be better than they are in the future, but even these two don't have giant levels of talent like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and other players from previous generations, so for now, for the next 5, 10 years or even more there will be no be Super Stars on the way in football and that's something that hasn't been seen in football for a long time.

    • @DiegoVinicius93
      @DiegoVinicius93 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@ToddReacts This is not something ''worrying'', there will still be great players, of great quality playing football, but Super Stars to move crowds, legions and legions of fans, to be ''venerated'' as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are and others great in the past were, I think it will take a while to happen again, but again, there will still be a lot of good players on the football fields around the world. These two examples I mentioned, Mbappé (French) and Haaland (Norwegian), are great players, Mbappé for example in 2018 was World Cup champion with his national team, France and was only 19 at the time, a great achievement and Haaland he is a precocious super striker who has a natural talent to score a huge amount of goals, they just don't have, in my point of view, the Super Star seal of quality, as it is something for few, as it involves not only quality in itself, but the off-field appeal as well, like the charisma and how much people admire and sympathize with the player.

      I feel like the people who grew up with Maradona in his prime or Puskas in his prime, they felt the same feeling that we who grew up with Messi and Ronaldo in their prime is feeling right now about their retirement, and I think the kids who will start watching football when Haaland and Mbappe are in their prime will feel the exact same feeling when those two are retiring, that there’s not gonna be a player like them for a while because they were so great, I believe we just have to stop thinking so much when it comes to sports and just enjoy what we have in the moment, but I know it’s hard, because when Ronaldo and Messi retires, for me that will feel like I just lost my first love, and we all know there’s no one or nothing like the first in anything in life.

    • @DiegoVinicius93
      @DiegoVinicius93 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ABCABC-ce1sf I agree that we have to take advantage of these two aces while they are still playing and any other great ones that come along, but in terms of football, what stands out in relation to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, besides their talent, is the longevity of the two at a high level and as far as I know this has never happened before, they have been in great shape and have been competing well for almost 15 years (if you count from 2008 which was when Cristiano Ronaldo won his first Champions League and Messi started his first season at FC Barcelona wearing the 10 shirt), so this is very significant and I also agree that the new ones who will grow up seeing Mbappé and Haaland play (if they continue at that level) will certainly be the ones who will be most remembered, admired, followed by the new generation, still that I think they are really great players, but not at the level of C. Ronaldo and L. Messi, anyway, this is football, past, present and future covered with great players to be eternalized in the story.

    • @zub41r75
      @zub41r75 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      that's a clown statement. Salah, Lewandowski, Mbappe this year are proving your statement to be false. They are playing at Messi and Ronaldo level. Also there is much more to come in the future and footballers are getting better, fitter and faster. Football is getting played at a much higher level in the modern-day. I can tell you are clueless about football. The numbers are totally against what you are saying. There are some great talents out there even young ones like Foden, Trent, Mbappe, Haaland, Bellingham, Musiala, Camvingha, Chiesa who will be world-class talents and are already in their early careers ripping up the European and world stage. Your statement is false and just some nostalgic bias.

    • @DiegoVinicius93
      @DiegoVinicius93 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@zub41r75 I respect your opinion of course, but I disagree, all those you mentioned have talent, but they don't have the MAGIC that Messi has, nowhere near, that anyone sees and anyone who doesn't see it is because they don't want to, and they also don't have the obsession. wild and golden that Cristiano Ronaldo has to score and be the top scorer in the world that he is... one thing are the NUMBERS, the STATISTICS you commented, another thing is the EMOTIVE PART of football, what these two legends, Messi and C. Ronaldo awakened in so many people and are still awakening, this will NOT be seen SO soon again. The next players that are coming, like Haaland, Mbáppe, among other youngsters, and the ones who are already experienced like Lewandowski, Salah and others, they ARE, YES, great players with a lot of talent, but they don't have, I repeat, DON'T HAVE and never will having the MAGIC that involves Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and that, whether you like it or not, whether you like it or not, COUNTS A LOT. Football is not just about numbers and statistics and it NEVER will be.

  • @nikdik154
    @nikdik154 2 ปีที่แล้ว +23

    Yes, @8:20, you're right. The end is near. Ronaldo and Messi might have 3-4 years left in their career, and that'll end. But we have other young players like Dortmund's Haaland, PSG's Mbappe, along with other talented youngsters in Chelsea, Liverpool and United. That'll keep on going in the future. That part of football will never end.
    Clubs are keeping on improving and the fact that most clubs don't revolve around one player like Pep Guardiola's Man City and Klopp's Liverpool are the prime example of that.
    The show must go on. Good reaction bro.

    Ronaldo and Messi retirements will be the most saddening events of the sort in world's history. Uncountable legends have retired and left a void but what those 2 have made for over 10 years has never been done before. Imagine Michael Jordan and Lebron James at their prime playing in the same conference for an entire decade and literally sharing all records and awards in an endless and unimaginable competitive environment that left the world in awe. Furthermore, do not forget that football is tenfold more popular than the NBA or any other American sport. The relevance os this rivalry in world's sports is unmatched and i will confidently state that this was the biggest individual rivalry in all sports history.

    The thing about stars in football is not as critical as in tenis. In most countries where there's a football culture people are more passionate about clubs than individual players. For example, barça fans that like Messi won't become psg fans next season. Football will keep going until the next mega star appears, it's happened before.

    When you said that there might be a gap in terms of talent when Leo Messi and Cristiano retire, that might be an understatement.
    In football, in terms of goalscoring, a striker (the player who plays the farthest up the field and is most responsible for scoring goals):
    If the striker scores 25 goals a season, they are an okay striker. If the striker is playing in one of the top leagues, that makes the striker a good striker.
    If the striker scores 30 goals a season, they are a world-class striker.
    If the striker scores 40 goals a season, they are a great, 'one of the best players of the world' striker. Happens very rarely.
    If the striker scores 50 goals a season, it's almost unheard of, and they're lauded to win the player of the year and/or Ballon D'or (which is FIFA's official Player of the Year award).
    Both, Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo AVERAGE over 50 goals a season, and no one ever comes close in terms of goalscoring in the last 40 or so years.
    Also, it's just not goalscoring, it's the consistency. At age 23, Leo Messi finished a season with 60 goals and assists (combined). At 33, Leo Messi finished the season with 60 goals and assists combined. At 23, people called him the greatest of all time already. That level of acclaim and consistency, well, I'm not a 100 year old man who's watched football for 95 years, but I can quite surely say, it doesn't happen often.
    Fun fact: Leo Messi scored 91 goals in the 2011-12 season. In just one season. In just 69 matches.

    Around 500-600million people on average tune into the Liverpool Vs Manchester United game in a regular League match twice every season and I mean it's not even a final or anything ,just a regular old game..
