@@Thejigholeman He had to double shift as a chef AND a waiter. He was used to wearing different hats around the restaurant so his customer/people management skills are advanced
Oh yeah any customer service job is hell, but the restaurant induatry takes it to another level. There are many things that could go wrong in the front and back of the house and among the staff, and you have to always keep your cool and analyze the situation quickly. The biggest variable being the customer, from their appearencce, to their mood, to their reactions, and how to deal with that every minute of every hour of the whole day. Obviously Sanji learned how to work both sides of the house under a chef as skilled as Zeff which I always headcanoned that he cooked for their rescuers to convince them to keep himself and Sanji alive. That gives him possibly the most flexible skillset among the strawhats, with power, intelligence, and his cooking with a kind heart to boot.
I remember melon tree's line on how when Sanji called for Robin... It also shows how Robin who was always protected by the crew... finally feels like she's needed by the crew...
Another person I like watching analyze OP is Merphy Napier, who also touched on this. I loved her take on Brook and Robin vs Maria, and how awesome it was for their characters and Sanji’s. It not only showed that Sanji knew he wasn’t actually putting Robin in danger because he trusted her, but he was also aware that it would be something she would want to do and didn’t feel burdened to ask. She’s been itching to return the love and protection the SHs gave her and the transaction of trust from ‘one of the wings’ who’s whole thing is protection was kind of heartwarming in retrospect (even if, admittedly, I was so caught up in how the Zoro fans would respond at the time that it took me a second to appreciate it, lol. Nothing against Zoro- love him- but his fanboys were unbearable back in Wano)
You missed the chance to mention when Luffy and Ussop arguing about Merry, when Luffy is going to say something that he will regret it forever, Sanji stop him by kicking him. Prevented Luffy would be greatest mistake.
True. Mark has mentioned this in the Water 7 arc video, as well as the Usopp AND Luffy dedicated videos of this very series, maybe he didn't want to bounce with this nugget of interaction again, buy yeah
I love Sanji’s backstory. He grew up being treated like trash because he wasn’t as strong as his genetically modified siblings back on Germa 66. But even after all the abuse he faced he got back and followed his passion for cooking while one day becoming super strong in his own right. That right there is strength, to get back up after being beaten down and staying true to yourself and your calling
I love that he basically proved to himself that no matter what his family said to him, his kindness made him strong, specifically emotionally strong, and that's the important thing his mother gave to him and why he can look down on his "strong" siblings and know that he is ultimately stronger than them, no matter who can hit harder.
Not only that but through nothing but hard work and a proper teacher Sanji was able to become strong phsyically long before he had access to those genetics. I stand by if Judge did'nt cheat he would've been beaten by Sanji and imagine the egg that would've been on his face.
The Sanji conquerors haki bit at the end has been discussed a lot... And we have an example in Whitebeard. He didn't have such a grand ambition either..He wanted a family and to protect others..
If you haven't already seen it, MiddleWay did a video on this called "Sanji is a CONQUEROR Due to Gear 5th: One Piece Theory" and he breaks down conquerors into "Climbing conquerors" like Luffy, Roger, Zoro, and Mihawk and "Seeking conquerors" like Shanks, Whitebeard, and Big Mom. It's a great video and worth a watch.
Except Whitebeard was a leader. His idea of "family and protecting others" was by putting them under his own wings. As a matter of fact, he had two other crews before making his own, and it's very much implied that they weren't family to him.
I would argue as well that there is a type of leader that focuses more on serving than dominating. There were moments in the series when Sanji even accidentally gains allies because of his kindness, e.g. Duval and his group, G5 marines, Viola, Pudding, etc. These characters were inspired to follow Sanji because of his kindness and charisma, and I think that can be considered a 'conquering' skill. I'm fine with Sanji getting or not getting CoC though, I think it works either way
As a Sanji stan, him asking Robin for help has been one of my favorite moments in the entire series. It felt so right and like such a huge step. It’s crazy to me how so deep into the story, characters still develop and grow.
Sanji has always been my favourite character and strawhat and don't see that ever changing from his truly kind heart, amazing fight moves and choreography, doing stuff for the crew/others besides making bomb ass food and always dripped out with style among other things
Little Garden, Water Seven, Wano act 3. There's been many arcs where Sanji has been absent for multiple chapters and when he shows up he was taking the steps to save the day, or ensuring their safety. In short, if he's not around, he's probably cooking something awesome, and we should let him do that.
As soon as you announced this series Sanji was the one I was most looking forward to you covering. Sanji is a character with so much depth that often gets overlooked due to the gags Oda implemented for him. Great video!
I think. Its kind of the fault of the anime, because that gag is extremely overused. It's like they can't go a single episode without Sanji not being a sexist. That gets old by the time you reach water 7.
I love, love, LOVE it when people see Sanji for who he really is instead of focusing on pitting his physical ability against Zoro. Sanji's HEART is what makes him my favorite character in all of One Piece ❤
A video essay has never made me cry, this one did. How you talk about Sanji makes me think of myself, how he conquerors his thoughts of being less makes me think about how I did the same too. Being bullied, made fun of, thrown stuff at me, I relate to his character a lot, especially about how he wants to try to make everyone around him happy. I always wondered why Sanji has always been one of my favourites, and you just basically explained it perfectly. Thank you.
Sanji has been taking Ws in egghead all day. Getting work done and like many arcs he usually plays the secret agent which funny enough worked great for his backstory
Egghead has been AMAZING for him! His conflicts in Wano were great for establishing his new direction as a more self-assured shield to the SH and himself, and I really appreciated the focus on his true character in WCI. But WCI and Wano were personal struggles that weren’t ideal or fitting for his preferred methods of tackling conflicts (WCI put too much of a spotlight on him on top of all the inner turmoil, and Wano had a much clearer goal in mind that was organized by others. It was a go big or go home moment and they just needed to wait for Luffy to get Kaido), and considering the rest of Post Timeskip either didn’t have him doing much or didn’t have him in the story, it’s been really exciting to see him be able to fight the way he actually likes to under the right kind of pressure (and boy is there PRESSURE in Egghead). No spoilers- but the crew being as frazzled as they are all lends another opportunity for Sanji to shine like he did in Pre-Timeskip, especially Water 7 and Alabasta. While everyone is caught up with what’s right in front of them, his main objective is to keep the crew functioning and decide the next best course of action to keep them out of harms way. It’s been awhile since he’s had to use his brain like that, and while I loved his character writing (meh about the jokes, lol), this arc really pushed him back into my top 2 favorite characters. Behind Luffy, of course, lol.
My favorite Straw Hat finally gets his video! He is the character that best encapsulates Oda's masterful character writing. And I 120% identify with his love of food, his lack of control over his emotions, his complete lack of self worth, how he will sacrifice everything for that small group of people he loves most...and even his bonk-worthy moments are relatable, if only to me 16 year old self
In the Arlong Park arc after hearing nami's story Sanji comments that no one should have to live through that kind of trauma as a child and that he feels bad for Nami. Knowing what we know now about his childhood and the trauma he suffered this single comment shows his unwillingness to care for himself while showing the utmost care for others.
For me, shenanigans aside, the best character in One Piece. Flawed and conflicted about himself due to the trauma of his past, but made use of this as a learning experience and gain the wisdom to aid others. This made his character humane and relatable.
One important key aspect of Thriller Bark scene you missed is that Sanji said "guess you'll need to find another cook". He sees himself as just a cook that happens to be sailing with them that will take no effort to replace.
The ending to your video literally sent shivers on my entire body. I loved when he called on Robin to help him. I know a lot of people took issue with it, but it was such great character growth on his part. instead of sacrificing himself, without a second thought, he put value into his own life. The Sanji we met at the beginning of one piece would have never called on anybody let alone a woman to help him in that situation. Because that would be putting them in danger, and he believes his life is worth less than others. The Sanji we see now values his life more, he knows this is a fight He can’t win, and he’s willing to rely on his friends to help him.
Sanji is legit one of my favorite characters in anime, being raised in such a crappy enviorment only to be brought up as an upstanding cook and man (most of the times) is a thing I really love about him, also his policy about no food wasting lmao
I think you missed the point of Sanji calling for help from Robin. He didn't change his principles. He STILL doesn't believe in putting a woman in harms way. He simply believes in Robin so much, that he does not see asking her to fight Black Maria as putting her in harms way.
I think it could go both ways. I lean more heavily on your side, where his trust in others abilities has finally outweighed his willingness to die on a side mission (plus, it’s really cool for Robin’s character to have someone believe in her). But in a sense, even if he knows Robin will be victorious in the end, in the past he wouldn’t have asked for help because he didn’t want to be a burden on others in the slightest, and the risk of Robin getting hit AT ALL would’ve been too much of a disgrace to him. He already believed in Robin since Water 7 (albeit in a different sense), he’s just also willing to believe should live another day and continue to assist her and the rest of the crew as well.
Nah, imo that doesn’t work. Even if you trust her, you don’t bring someone to an obvious trap by themselves. I’m glad Brook was with her because she would have been caught long ago by Sanji’s mistake. In a real life situation, Sanji would have been a liability.
Sanji is my favorite character in one piece. He’s strong, but mom than that he’s a cook, a provider, fiercely loyal, smart and strategic, and someone all the crew know they can rely on. I love all the secret shenanigans he gets up to and anytime the story focuses on him cooking I’m all in.
I was really looking forward to this video, but it feels so short lol. I could listen to a Sanji analysis all day honestly, I just love him. One of my favorite Sanji moments will always be when he called Robin for help, it just reflected how much character growth Sanji has experienced, and I especially love that Robin understood how big a deal that moment was. I also kind of find it hilarious that the whole cake arc did in fact lead to Sanji getting a powerup, not the point of the arc but in hindsight it did what it did lol, now all that's left is for Sanji to accept that part of himself. Or just never notice his eyebrow keeps changing directions and he just happens to be stronger whenever it does lol.
Just want to share that I love that the main showrunner for Season 2 of the One Piece Live Action, Matt Owens, have consistently said that his favorite strawhats are Sanji and Robin. His favorite is also Law. There’s a video of him tier ranking the OP characters and he puts Sanji, Robin, and Law in S tier rank (if you wonder about the other strawhats, in his opinions Luffy, Nami, Franky, Chopper, Jimbei and Zoro are A, Usopp and Brook are B). Matt Owens is a writer, and from a writing perspective, it makes sense why he likes and fully understands Sanji and Robin, which makes me so excited for Season 2 (especially if it gets more seasons).
For so long I've been trying to understand why sanji was my favorite character in OP. I've tried to explain it, but it always comes up short and felt like something was missing. This is it. Thanks for bringing to light what makes him an amazingly written character. Definitely subscribing for more of stuff like this.
The words of Robin in that moment, too, bringing her character almost full circle, are wonderful. The validation and trust, to hunt her hunters even. Such picturesque peaks of character writing sharing a moment.
Yo, the fact that Oda didn't fell for what the fans wanted for Sanji in whole cake, makes the arc even better. Sanji HAD his fight doing one of the kindest acts he is known for, COOKING. People cry about it, but the deal with Sanji in that arc, is to explore his greatest value, his kindness.
This is one of the best videos about Sanji. You understand him so well and it's truly impressive. He has been my favourite for a while, followed shortly by Robin and Corazon. It's nice to see people finally discovering what Sanji is really about and not simplifying his character to a single gag.
Great points all around. Except with the conquerors arguement. There are many people who have conquerors but whose goal isn't to conqueror. Whitebeard wanted to build a family, Yamato protect Wano, Katakuri be the shield for his siblings, etc. All those conquerors are built on altruism, so why not Sanji too.
I was waiting for this one Mark, since Sanji is my favorite character, and you exceeded my expectations beyond what I thought possible. And that rendition of One Day at the end was *chef’s kiss* Thank you❤
"Episode of Sanji: why the GOAT is the GOAT" great vid as always Mark, thanks for making great content and giving such care to these IPs and characters!
As I rewatched Whole Cake Island that much by now (mostly because I love Katakuri's German VA), I still can't get over that fitting backstory Sanji had received. And all of it connects so well despite certain flaws in his own character. Grown over the course of time. Truly started to trust his friends, allies and crewmates after accepting what he truly is. For me, I did thought back then "wow, cool design, must like" but each arc made him more likeable to me. Also I always loved his more strategic approaches instead going in brute force, as you explained in the video. But something I will never forget is his following encounter with Enel on that flying ship 'Maxim'. Sabotaging its mechanical parts from the very inside. Only to ask the self-proclaimed god to light up his cigarette. Sacrifing himself to possibly crash down Maxim, sadly it did not work out. Still, I remember seeing this as a teenager and it gave me not only goosebumps but laughing out loud in the process. Sadly not too many people understand Sanji's true character as nowadays people are only after certain character's power and cool fights, instead of interesting personality, overwhelming strategic talents and a good philosophy to follow after. Thank you so much for this video, the segment with Pudding almost broke me back into tears again. I do want to see them reunite someday during the story, as it would be the perfect Happy End for Mr. Prince.
Whole Cake Island REALLY turned the corner for Sanji in my eyes. I initially rolled my eyes and thought that it was a copy of Enies Lobby, but the more I think about it, it really wasn't. I never related to Sanji until the moment Pudding initially betrays him. I relate to the aspect of his character in that moment of wanting to be kind to everyone and getting taken advantage of because I'm being kind. Sometimes, a part of me wishes to close off being kind to everyone in fear of getting hurt, but Sanji of all people really inspired me to stay who I am and not give in. It's a totally different strength in comparison to Zoro, who I love just as much and further reminds me why I can't pick one over the other. And that's for all Strawhats and not just the wings of the pirate king. Now that I'm caught up on Egghead, I can't wait for when we get to the end of the journey. It's gonna be beautiful, to say the least 🥹
Good point about Zoro vs Sanji, lol. I love comparisons between the type of strength they provide. Zoro’s raw, physical power and resolve to his promises and responsibilities makes for a leader that’s easy to root for and aspire to become. But even though I used to go back and forth between whichever character was my favorite at a time, recently I find myself more personally affected by the lessons that Sanji’s character inspires about fighting for every part of yourself- but especially the kind and loving parts, which are all too easy to lose in times of hardship.
I love Sanji and the best part of the Queen fight for me is when he is asking Luffy in his head, "hey, which version of myself would better serve you? Do you want a useless chef who can't fight women or a cold, heartless killing machine?" and he already knows the answer is that Luffy would rather he be himself, no one else and destroys the Germa suit to solidify his resolve
Amazing video, I get excited for Sanji's fights more than anyone but I love how at the end of the video, you compared him to Luffy's shield because through the whole series he has always used his heart for others. I even like when they are separated at Saboady and he still fights kuma after Usopp, Zoro and Brook have vanished. Best part about Sanji is that Luffy has known this about him since day once, and even tho he treats him as one of the Straw Hats fighters, Luffy has valued the rest of his character from day one
Thank you for this one. I genuinely cried almost the entire video. Most if not all of the straw hats do that for me at one point or another but it’s been some time since I’ve really reflected on what sanji means to me and his journey over the past 20+ years I’ve been following this masterpiece of a story. The one thing I love about Oda is that he knows exactly how to take something that puts your emotional high towards its peak and when to turn that completely on its head dragging you down into the pits of despair. It works the opposite way too but the thing I’m talking about is how Pudding twists what we know of with the “prince” moniker for Sanji and we can’t help but weep for the man, begging for Luffy to break out and help him. But then there’s the next thing that makes this story truly magical and special for me. Luffy isn’t a white knight. He isn’t the man who will step in and solve all your problems for you. No, instead, he forces you, to confront the reality that is holding you back and speaks to how you can help yourself. Sanji refuses to say what’s really on his mind, what he meds to say to help himself? Nope! Luffy flat out denies that bs and backs Sanji into a corner where he needs to accept that what he wants is something he actively chooses to ask for and receive. Something others can give him and something he can offer not by sacrificing his life but to fight using the life he now chooses to live. One piece is the greatest story ever told and it’s not even a hill I’ll die on. It’s just the truth and it is something I truly want everyone in my life who is willing to experience before the end. To cast off into the vast wide open seas on an epic adventure the likes of which only happen once in a lifetime.
this is one of the greatest videos i've seen to break down and emphasize the depth of sanji's character while completely ignoring his comedic relief aspect in the story. sanji IS and WILL continue to be my favorite character in one piece no matter what.
Best video of the series so far and best analyzis of Sanji I've seen to this day. Zoro's Morj break down and remarks are more interesting and original than in Mark's Zoro video - which remains still pretty interesting, don't get me wrong - but this video does Sanji full justice like no one else has on TH-cam this far. Very interesting points I couldn't put together in words.
Loved the video! So glad you brought up the Maria encounter. I feel people mostly want to talk about queen since it's in relation to strength but for sanji asking for help was a massive step
One of my favorite things about these videos is that you don't skimp on post timeskip, their is such amazing writing for the Strawhats there but a lot of people seem to believe "if you're not getting a mega arc centered around you, then you're a forgotten character or not important to the story" and these videos have really demonstrated the growth the Strawhats display, even if they are not the main focus of the arc!
It’s crazy seeing how much you understand the story of One Piece, the way you break down each character is insanely impressive. Sanji was my favorite character but I didn’t even realize why, you just told me why😂
I think that there are different kinds of conquerors and that Sanji May actually be one hiding in plain sight. I think of Katakuri Who doesn't have a crazy ambition but love's his family so much that nothing will get in between him and them. Sanji has that as well as his creed If there is an argument for him being a conqueror it could very well be from that
I finally understand why Sanji is my favourite Charakter ! Thank you Mark. I wouldnt have been able to dive so deep to see the reasons he is closest to my heart. He and his development throughout Onepiece, reminds me a lot of myself . Its crazy to think oda can just depict such things in a story naturally. I am baffled and happy to have seen this video. To all whom care for others and tend to be altruistic. Cheers to you!
Just found your channel not too long and I can’t get enough!! The way you talk about the stories and characters in such detail and to convey every emotion is so amazing and inspiring. Keep up the amazing work king

Absolutely love this. Too many people don’t appreciate sanji’s writing because of either wanting to push their zoro agenda or the admittedly at times abysmal woman interactions, and this masks how deep and reflective of a character he really is. Thank you 🤲🏾
You've gotten very good at conveying the emotions these characters evoke in us. Not just in one piece, but in alot of your anime reviews now. Thank you
despite how much i hate the sanji loves women gag, ive always been confused cause sanji is a character i love (despite the gag) but i can never understand why. this video was a great explanation of everything i subconsciously thought
Goddamnit. I'm so glad I clicked on this. I've been praising Zoro and looking up to him as a character, and you just made me realise...I'm the Sanji! I'm the Sanji in my friend groups! With a little bit of Zoro thrown in.
I started to enjoy your analysis on each One Piece character. I already watch 3 of your videos. Great job. I think you describe each charakter really well and you get to the core of their character and their development. So far, Usop video is my favorite.
This was a very well made video, since the first time I saw him, Sanji has always been my favourite One Piece character. By far the most relatable to myself.
Sanji asking Robin’s help made me so happy. One of my favorite moments for both of them. Robin, treated like a traitor her entire life, now trusted. Sanji valuing himself enough to rely on her. It’s such a lovely scene.
I always love your analysis of oda's writing. I have often watched one piece from a 1d type of way but these videos helped me show the meaning behind these character's actions.
These are genuinely amazing videos. Your analysis into the themes of the characters is really insightful and the scripting and presentation conveys the emotional attachment us fans have to this crew. Thanks so much for you (and your team's) fantastic work on this series.
I really appreciate this video, as someone who hated Sanji for his gags and how he seems to get so much more focus than a lot of the other Straw Hats lately, this video made me appreciate the good aspects of his character. Honestly makes me want to reread Whole Cake and Baratie with this new perspective. Can't wait till you get to Brook because I still don't understand his role in the story.
How could you say he can't get conquerors when luffy himself said he doesn't want to conquer anything he just wants freedom thats literally what it means to be a pirate king in Luffys perspective. Will power is essentially the core part of getting conquerors It's not a contradiction to his character if he wants to keep people around him safe by becoming stronger for their sake
thank you, this video feel like a whole therapy to me, while I didn't experience the same struggles as Sanji he's the character that I feel the most identification with, I firstly thought it was only because I'm often goofy and silly around women, like to cook and have the same vision as him about food, but it wasn't just that, I always refuse compliments of people saying that I'm nice and kind, because for some reasons I don't feel like I'm worthy of this words, that I'm not doing that much and it still that the case to this day. Yet your video, your explaination and views of Sanji character make me reconsider that I may be closer to him than I thought, I will try to be more true to me feelings and emotions that I may be worthy of this words and worthy of kindness people also give me
the zoro takes the hit because he feels responsible vs sanji takes the hit because he feel less valuable was such a good observation
Not winning by dying, winning even if you die.
It hurt, directly to the nerver for me

I think. Its kind of the fault of the anime, because that gag is extremely overused. It's like they can't go a single episode without Sanji not being a sexist. That gets old by the time you reach water 7.
"No matter how many times you kick me, you're the one that's hurting"
Thank you.
Same
Duuude if you want another Sanji vid to cry to watch The Tragedy of Sanji by Melonteee her vids are v v good.
🍻 cheers, mate
big same.
Sanji has been taking Ws in egghead all day. Getting work done and like many arcs he usually plays the secret agent which funny enough worked great for his backstory
He’s Stealth Black at heart
Real
I swear I see you everywhere
Only if you read the manga! Idk why but Toei did him so dirty in the S-shark confrontation
The Baratie arc is what hooked me into One Piece. Sanji's character is what hooked me.
Comparing Zoro and Sanji to a sword and a shield is honestly inspired.
I think Sanji is Spear and Zoro is Sword as in the Nika Picture...where he has sword in the hand and spear in his foot
"Everyone has things they can and cannot do. I'll do what you can't do, and you do what I can't do" -Black Leg Sanji
Am I the only one that tears up in all of this videos? So many beautiful moments and Mark's words enhance them even more.
No, you are certainly not the only one 😅
This video reminded me the pain Pudding had to deal with after easing Sanji's memory. 😭
Thanks for talking about Pudding. She was a great character to introduce in that arc as a foil to Sanji. A baker to his chef
Sanji is and probably always Will be my favourite character and I'm so happy you gave him the respect he deserves
@j.b.5422Saves more women
@@mathieul4303🤡
What i think he means is that he now thinks sanji value himself now, not going for that noble sacrifice like in the past
Whoever is selecting the music to play in the background is killing it, the random injection of Pokemon always ends up being so fitting.
It's Mark's editor. You may sometimes find them in the comment section as Fishy Editor.
And yes, I also love that about the videos.
Ye
Ye
Sanji is the MVP of all the others' survival.
I feel so stupid...
Crocodile calls Mr.3 and gets SANji?
Oda is too good man
omg...I never realized LOL
Its been so long since i was introduced to op...read it..watched so much about it on youtube.
.and finally i get this.
True
Now I feel stupid for never having put this together. makes me wonder, if the true purpose of the little garden act, was to tell this silly joke
no, he gets a (Germa) Prince
And that rendition of One Day at the end was *chef’s kiss* Thank you❤
I love how you get to say the correct words.
Bro I’m in class stop dropping bangers
Pay attention
Prince.
W
Sanjis my favorite character and that ending brought real tears to my eyes preciate you Mark another banger video
“One meal, one fight, one dream at a time” is poetic. The conclusions to each of these hit me in the chest 😊❤
I love this series.
You are turning One piece from my favorite story ever, into my favorite story, that I like slightly more, ever.
Sanji is my favorite character, I love him!!
Thank you for perfectly explaining why Sanji is my favorite One Piece character
I didn’t think I could love Sanji more but then I came across this beautiful and articulate video. Thank you!!
this is one of the greatest videos i've seen to break down and emphasize the depth of sanji's character while completely ignoring his comedic relief aspect in the story.
sanji IS and WILL continue to be my favorite character in one piece no matter what.
Beautiful analysis. Thank you for helping me to appreciate Sanji even more.
Sanji has a leg up in trauma compared to the rest of the East Blue Crew.
This joke is truly a step above.
I'm not letting the comments drown my comment.
Well pain is relative. Something that bothers you, might not bother someone else. It's not a leaderboard
@@DignifiedCapybara True, but I wanted to make a pun due to the obvious.
I think Robin is up there. But yeah, the whole double traumatic backstory is tough combo
I think that there are different kinds of conquerors and that Sanji May actually be one hiding in plain sight. I think of Katakuri Who doesn't have a crazy ambition but love's his family so much that nothing will get in between him and them. Sanji has that as well as his creed
If there is an argument for him being a conqueror it could very well be from that
I finally understand why Sanji is my favourite Charakter !
Thanks for the video Mark, amazing sum up of Sanji Character
Even if it wont do good on youtube i really enjoyed it and hope all the best!
Hey Mark wanted to just say I love your content and tanks for the thought provoking and interesting takes you have in anime as a whole
as a sanji expert, you hit the mark perfectly and I gained a lot of insight aswell. great video, mark
The secret ingredient is the friends we made along the way
Get out
That’s the one piece
Wrong ppl who u can tolerate
Uncle Iroh said that the secret ingredient to his tea was love and I think it's the same
@@stormwindsakuro8678 Iroh is GOAT. But that love is only recognized by those benefiting from that tea... And not desire it cuz of the flavor or prestige....or influence
Man these series of videos are something special
Unrelated to the content of the video, but I love the use of Ender Lilies music! Fits perfectly and love seeing it get some notice!
Yes, Mark's editor is really good! I always love their music selection.
@@evelynarhondi6375 Awesome to see another appreciator!
Sanji would be the most popular strawhat if it wasn't for his alterego, Simpji.
oda had to nerf him he isn't MC
Absolutely love this. Too many people don’t appreciate sanji’s writing because of either wanting to push their zoro agenda or the admittedly at times abysmal woman interactions, and this masks how deep and reflective of a character he really is. Thank you 🤲🏾
Mark! Hope you had an amazing Easter! God bless You! Love your content 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️✝️✝️✝️
There are some things I don't like about Sanji, but all the same, I love him like all the Strawhats.
You've gotten very good at conveying the emotions these characters evoke in us. Not just in one piece, but in alot of your anime reviews now. Thank you
Dammit, Mark, you're making me cry with every single one of these videos.
despite how much i hate the sanji loves women gag, ive always been confused cause sanji is a character i love (despite the gag) but i can never understand why. this video was a great explanation of everything i subconsciously thought
Why did ur outro to ur video get me emotional. Really good job. Sanji pisses me off but i love him
Great insight, I think offers a lot of justification for some of sanjis more frustrating moments throughout the series
Goddamnit. I'm so glad I clicked on this. I've been praising Zoro and looking up to him as a character, and you just made me realise...I'm the Sanji! I'm the Sanji in my friend groups! With a little bit of Zoro thrown in.
youre the perv of the group lol
Fr
The way you beautifully explained Sanji, made me more of a Sanji fan than I was!
Its amazing that you made a whole Video about Sanji WITHOUT going into the pervyness he showed from Thriller Bark to FMI...
Chapeau
Brilliant video mark, probably my favorite One Piece character analyzation so far
I don't think I've ever seen anyone understand Sanji as much as you have shown. Your best character video, top notch job, Totally Not Mark!
well said! Sanji is my favorite character too
and I love how he change and grow so much in this series. he is so complex and interesting
I always love your analysis of oda's writing. I have often watched one piece from a 1d type of way but these videos helped me show the meaning behind these character's actions.
Thanks for the video, man. I love your touch and thoughts about it.
Also, the remix from One Day at the end was so enjoyable.
One Day ❤ The music is always good though 😁
Been loving this series! Thank you keep it up!
Love these videos. You bring out all the emotion Oda wants people to see.
Another great video! Will you eventually make one for every Staw Hat? If so I'll be eagerly waiting for Frankies!
Yesss I was waiting for sanji in this series. I love him so much and he is one of the most well written characters in One Piece!
W
How could you say he can't get conquerors when luffy himself said he doesn't want to conquer anything he just wants freedom thats literally what it means to be a pirate king in Luffys perspective. Will power is essentially the core part of getting conquerors
It's not a contradiction to his character if he wants to keep people around him safe by becoming stronger for their sake
thank you, this video feel like a whole therapy to me, while I didn't experience the same struggles as Sanji he's the character that I feel the most identification with, I firstly thought it was only because I'm often goofy and silly around women, like to cook and have the same vision as him about food, but it wasn't just that, I always refuse compliments of people saying that I'm nice and kind, because for some reasons I don't feel like I'm worthy of this words, that I'm not doing that much and it still that the case to this day. Yet your video, your explaination and views of Sanji character make me reconsider that I may be closer to him than I thought, I will try to be more true to me feelings and emotions that I may be worthy of this words and worthy of kindness people also give me
